Ribeye , loaded baked potatoes and loaded Mac n cheese. Yummy!

Food was great. Service was friendly. There was an hour wait fir food due to employee shortage. We were told before we were seated about the wait so we knew going in. Some people were mad and complaining to manager that they waited over an hour and a half for food. I'd call and ask about wait times before driving in next time. The staff was very apologetic and friendly.

From the outside, the branding leans heavily into the Route 66 identity--logos are everywhere, setting the expectation for a nostalgic roadside dining experience. Stepping inside, however, the atmosphere takes a different direction. Rather than embracing classic Americana, the décor feels modern, highlighted by whimsical cow artwork adorned with flower crowns. It's charming in its own way, but not the vintage Route 66 ambiance I was expecting. One thing that deserves high praise is the cleanliness. The café is immaculate, from the dining room to the overall presentation, reflecting a team that clearly takes pride in maintaining the restaurant. The food, unfortunately, was less memorable. The oatmeal was overly thick and dry, lacking the creamy comfort you'd expect. Buttered toast carried an off flavor, suggesting the griddle or butter station could use a refresh. The signature pancake, dusted with a powdered sugar "66" logo, was visually appealing and easily the meal's most Instagram-worthy item, but it too was disappointingly dense. Where Cafe 66 truly shines is its service. Every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help first-time visitors feel at home. Their hospitality left the strongest impression of the visit. In my opinion, Cafe 66 seems to be transitioning away from being a destination built on Route 66 nostalgia and toward becoming a dependable neighborhood café for the Clinton community. There's nothing wrong with that--in fact, it's probably the more sustainable business model. But travelers seeking an authentic trip back in time may leave feeling that the iconic branding promises more nostalgia than the dining experience ultimately delivers.

Man, I hate writing this review because it takes a lot of negative things for me to do this…read more Especially when it comes to little mom and pop establishments. We were in town staying at the Red Rock Adventure Park and decided to try a local place for breakfast. We arrive and everything looks promising. The outside storefront is warm and inviting. They opened at 7:00am. We had arrived at 7:20am. There were three tables worth of people there when we walked in. The waitress came and got our drink order, we received our drinks without issue. A short time later she came back and got our food order. We were a party of three adults and four kids. After our food order was taken we sat at our table until 8:30, over an hour after our arrival, before we finally got our food. Not once during that hour that we waited did our waitress come and check on us or offer us drink refills. Our food was cold when it arrived at the table. My daughters food came even after ours and I saw it sitting on the food counter in the kitchen for at least ten minutes before the waitress finally brought it. The food was very lack luster. The "hash browns" were literally mashed up Tator tots. The gravy in my biscuit and gravy was already cold and did not taste good. I'm not a picky eater by any means. My husband said his sausage was over cooked and dry. The waitress never gave us direction on how to pay our check. Whether we go up front or pay at the table. By this time it was 8:47am and we needed to get in the road so I went up front to pay. If we're ever in the area again, I doubt we would go back here.

Very short staffed. Meat was burned. Food had way too much pepper. We won't be coming back.read more

Must try: T-Bone Steak and a Double Deuce Beer!…read more Why: I've been craving steak for a few weeks and when I arrived at OKC a few people recommended Cattlemen's. Ordered a medium rare steak and it was juicy and tender. It was also a large steak. Meal came with a house salad, baked potato, bread and a roll. I was also going to order Lamb Fries as an appetizer, but the waitress was able to let me try one piece on the house - great service! It would have been way too much food for one person. I washed it all down with their refreshing Double Deuce Beer. Everything was flavorful and satisfying - the steak hit the spot for me. Notes: It was a quick drive from downtown. Right when I walked in I was welcomed by hostesses and seated immediately. Everyone was warm and friendly. Def felt historic and legendary inside with their table booths, photos, and decor. A great hearty meal for my last night in OKC!

We were seated in what was basically an old looking Diner in which we weren't really expecting but it added some charm. We settled on the Blue Ribbon Ribeye & the Cowboy Prime Rib. Both were served in short order & although we wouldn't say they were the best we've ever had they were terrific nonetheless. Our server did a decent job & the prices were quite fair ( 2 Entrees, 3 Cocktails & a Dessert for $ 150.69 ) Next time we find ourselves in Oklahoma city we will certainly stop back in for another great meal, possibly even for breakfast since they open at 8am.
