Lots of cutsy, pricey stuff--handpainted wine goblets and martini glasses, candles, fashionista reindeer decorations. The kind of place to browse but not to lay out hard-earned cash, imo. We figured this store looked decent enough from the outside, so we wandered in to see if we could purchase a few pieces of furniture that would follow a certain theme. To our dismay, we were browsing their merchandise for more than ten minutes before someone decided to acknowledge our existence. An older woman waltzes out, smelling of alcohol and obviously drunk. After a few off color remarks and another visit to the back room, she returned to tell us the prices of a few of their items. Completely unreasonable prices for such low quality material, in my opinion. My wife is an interior decorator and I own a moving business, so we've seen our fair share of furniture. The paint was already chipping off of some of the overly gaudy wooden furniture...and the nails were already coming out of some of it. The trinkets on display held extremely outrageous prices. The store seemed to me like an expensive and much smaller version of Pier 1 Imports which didn't do too well in Longmont to begin with. Add to that the rude proprietor who seemed to be more interested in drinking than helping customers...well, you make the call. Maybe I didn't look rich enough for them.... But as for my wife and I, we'll never go back to that store again.

We were looking at their website www.storybarns.com and saw a barn door we liked so one Saturday while we we're out and about we called and Jason said he could meet us in an hour. He came in just for us. It was an easy conversation and absolutely no pressure. Within twenty minutes we had purchased the barn door and Jason scheduled installation three to four weeks out (they were working on a huge project at the time). Along the way Jason kept us abreast of the progress of the door while sending us photos of the door in production -- very nice. Well, they were able to install it on time and were done in about three hours. We can not say enough about how happy with are with the barn door and the whole experience dealing with everyone at Story Barns. If you are thinking about a barn door or any other service or product they supply I strongly recommend looking into Story Barns.

Using any room as their canvas, they create art using sumptuous textures, keen design, intriguing but not overstated pieces, colors that enhance the space. The most recent home I shot before Trove staged it, and then after Trove. The transformation was breathtaking. There were features in the home no one could see until Laurie and Trinity designed around them.
