I signed a lease at Solle Davie but never moved in, never occupied the unit, and never brought any belongings into the apartment. Shortly after signing, 3 days, 72 hours to be exact. I reviewed the community policies more closely and realized the property was not a good fit. I immediately contacted management to cancel before occupying the unit. Despite this, management stated that simply receiving the keys counted as taking possession and insisted on charging a $4,212 lease break fee, even though the apartment was unused and could be immediately re-rented. No flexibility, no alternative resolution, and no acknowledgment of good-faith efforts to avoid violations. This experience felt very one-sided and transactional, with no consideration for the actual circumstances. If you rent here, understand that once paperwork is signed, there appears to be zero room for discussion -- even if you never move in. Proceed with caution.

I wanted to explore on my own. When i arrived, the young ladies that worked here were very attentive, even offered us donuts (which were delicious by the way). I was given a key, and a map on where to go. We explored the community which is super nice and were able to look at a few apartments with different finishes. They are very nice but i feel like the bedrooms are really small, especially the master and the closets as well. I didn't understand why a walk in closet that was already small would have a door that opens into the closet taking up more space. If it wasn't for the size of the bedrooms and the closets and the weird way the doors open into them, i would move here.

Later on I found mold spreading in living room and kitchen. They came to fix. V in the office is very helpful and fast responses. They sprayed chemical stuffs on the wall and repainted it. They changed a/c unit and clean the duct also. I went on vacation during Christmas and new year. When I came back I found mold around refrigerator and cabinets. I informed the office. I had to wait for Mindy (V's boss) to come back from vacay to make decision because I want to transfer to other room or terminate the contract. Money came back on January 8, 2020. She cannot make decision and passed me to her boss, Sarah. Sarah called me while I was at work. She told me that "it is my responsibility to clean mold in the kitchen just like I clean my bathroom. Mold in the kitchen is common in Southern Florida". I couldn't believe what I heard so I asked all my coworkers if it is common around here to have mold developing in the kitchen? They all said "NO". Sarah refuses to transfer or terminate my contract. Be aware if you are planning to move to this apartment. It is very old and mold could be a big problem. I will record everything and keep fighting until I can get out of this apartment without penalty. I hope Sarah' family (children or grandchildren) doesn't have to go through this problem like me. My fiancé and I have lived on this property for four years. Within the last couple of years we have experienced our vehicles broken into a total of four times. Last month being the most recent. Today being the fifth time we have been violated. Over the last few years, I have seen multiple cars sitting on cinder blocks due to the wheels being stolen, car windows broken, and air bags ripped out and stolen from different vehicles. These are not "isolated cases" as management would like you to believe. Nor does management make these reoccurring situations public to the community that reside at Plantation Colony Apartments. I've asked numerous times if we could have a courtesy officer patrol the community? The answer was "no"...Could we have cameras installed facing the parking lot? The answer was "no"...Maybe have a gate installed? The answer was "no". Although, the office has security cameras facing each entry into the building, as well as the indoor gym. The management team deem's their safety extremely important, enough to have cameras. If you see something, say something. Thank you.

First, for me it's very close to my job, second it's right around the corner from Amerant Bank Arena, where I often am, and lastly it's still in the city Sunrise and near all my friends. The property caught my attention with the lake side units, and ample space in most units. I also love the layout of the complex, each unit higher than the first floor having an outside step walking up to the main entrance. The property is well maintained and clean. The very large swimming pool and sun deck is surely a sight. It's beautiful and very spacious, and I was told the keep their pools open till 10pm! (Most properties I've visited, even where I live now, closes at sun down.) I was given a tour of 2 different units, one being a loft, which was absolutely beautiful and spaces, and the other was a 1/1, also just as beautiful, but a little on the smaller side than what I'm looking for, square footage wise. The units are pretty well up to date, with some minor dates things, and it did show. The doors for one, on the closets and in the kitchen, they were a bit on the older side, a the bathrooms did also show their age. I definitely would have applied at this property had a loft unit been available for my dates I'm looking to move. I kept checking their website, which was so easy to navigate, for possible new units coming available, but sadly nothing for my time frame was showing. If you are in the process of moving or thinking to move, definitely come check out Atwater.

Also when maintenance concerns are not addressed, I was told that it's the residents responsibility to follow up. Which I have documented (emails) follow up for the last 5 months. Customer service isn't always easy, but Ana makes things that much easier for residents. Her help is very much appreciated! Adam, the professional we first encountered for a tour was outstanding on our first visit, and continues to be so as we are now tenants. The interior common areas are beautiful and kept extremely clean. It is a very quiet building with spectacular amenities, however, Adam and the team make all of the difference. Highly recommend.
