I had been searching for a new apartment for quite some time, and I finally settled on Town University Luxury Apartments for many reasons. Not only is the community new and pristine, but the staff is also very professional and accommodating. In my preliminary search, I spoke directly with Elsie in the leasing office many times. Elsie was also patient and courteous during these phone calls, and she also followed up with me when she said she would. When I decided to lease an apartment, Elsie made the paperwork process easy and quick. She never acted bothered by my questions, and took the time to explain all pertinent details to me. Up to this point, I have been very pleased with the quality of service that I have received. To comment on the actual apartments, they are well built and have high end appliances. I have viewed other complexes in the area, and do not believe they are as nice as Town University. If you are searching for a new apartment, I would highly recommend that you go speak to Elsie in the leasing office before going anywhere else. read more

I'm writing this review to warn prospective renters to be extremely cautious before signing a lease here. I signed a lease at Solle Davie but never moved in, never occupied the unit, and never brought any belongings into the apartment. Shortly after signing, 3 days, 72 hours to be exact. I reviewed the community policies more closely and realized the property was not a good fit. I immediately contacted management to cancel before occupying the unit. Despite this, management stated that simply receiving the keys counted as taking possession and insisted on charging a $4,212 lease break fee, even though the apartment was unused and could be immediately re-rented. No flexibility, no alternative resolution, and no acknowledgment of good-faith efforts to avoid violations. This experience felt very one-sided and transactional, with no consideration for the actual circumstances. If you rent here, understand that once paperwork is signed, there appears to be zero room for discussion -- even if you never move in. Proceed with caution. read more

The worst experience I've ever had living in an apartment. This morning I woke up at 5:00 AM to find my entire apartment flooded. I couldn't find the source of the water, so I submitted an online service request and tried to carry on with my day. I then spent the morning calling the leasing office over 30 times -- not a single answer. At 12:00 PM, I finally received a call from the office saying there was a plumbing issue in Building 6 and to avoid flushing the toilet. I explained that my unit had already flooded and I had submitted a request. I asked if my apartment was being checked, and the staff member said everything was "okay" and that they would send an update once the main issue was resolved. When I got home at 6:30 PM, I was shocked. There were industrial fans all over my apartment, my kids' belongings were thrown into the bathroom sink, the bathtub was full of soaked items, and everything smelled horrible. NO ONE called to inform me about the work done in my home. They entered my apartment, touched all of our things, and left a disaster behind with no explanation and no notice. To make it worse, there is no emergency number for situations like this. The office was already closed when I got back. I had to disconnect the fans myself and spend nearly 3 hours cleaning up. It was disgusting and completely disrespectful. This kind of negligence and lack of communication is unacceptable. I do not feel safe or respected in my own home anymore. The management sucks !! The manger and her assistant very rude! and not helpfull ! I have been a resident of this complex for four years and have consistently utilized the amenities without issue. However, on this occasion, I experienced unacceptable harassment and discrimination from the assistant manager. At around 6:00 PM, I was in the gym with my 10-year-old son, who was working with a personal trainer in the corner doing boxing and using the punching bag while I, his mother, was also present. I have always understood that it is permissible for a child to use the gym under adult supervision, a policy confirmed by the manager. My son has a medical condition, high cholesterol, which necessitates regular physical activity, and the gym has been an important resource for his health. The assistant manager (Yohanny) abruptly entered the gym and began harassing me and my son, demanding that we leave. Despite the gym being empty and my son being supervised by two adults, she threatened to evict us and place a seven days notice on our door if we did not comply. Her aggressive and discriminatory behavior, including yelling at me in an unprofessional and demeaning manner, disrupted my son's session and left us both feeling humiliated and unwelcome. These apartments have gone down hill since they changed their management 8 months ago. They don't care about their renters, they lie to your face and don't have the time to talk to you. They say luxury? All the pool furniture is torn up and straps missing of the pool loungers. Iguana shit all around the pool, for your kids to run through. The steam room is is a disgrace. Dirty and stinks. Dog shit on every grass site, just disgraceful. Do I need to go on? Stay well away unless you want to throw your money away. Okay, I stayed here 1 Year! Wanted to give a fair review. I liked where I stayed. Had no issues with the community as far as staff and maintenance. As a complex, I just didn't care for the lack of space. I had no room my entire lease. I even got rid of things. Teaching myself how to be a minimalist was overwhelming. Also, I absolutely hate the white tile flooring. My kids could never keep it clean. There's no storage space. Parking was bad after 8pm most days. I'm just glad I haven't seen a boot on anybody's car lately. I not once used my balcony because there was a hole in my screen that lizards would constantly crawl into. Nobody ever came to fix my screen. Also, around summer months... Since I live by the huge pond by the dog park, the amount of frogs that I had to face coming in and out of my house was terrifying. Not sure that the complex could do anything about that, but I did take matters into my own hands and just sprayed citric acid solution regularly around my front door. One of the neighbors also felt the need to put a cigarette butt on my car and place it very strategically in one of my headlights. I was not happy about this. OMG and my upstairs neighbor was the absolute worst. Every morning around 8 AM, it sounded as if he was throwing himself against the wall, dropping bowling balls, and playing pool but completely missing the ball every time. It would go all night too. Nobody respected quiet hours. This review really got three stars because of the maintenance people that worked quickly and efficiently every time I had a problem. And I did have quite a few problems... But nonetheless, I feel like it is way too expensive to have so little space. read more

Let me say, I wish I remembered this agent's name to mention it. She is Hispanic looking with breasts over supported by her bra and a frown on her face. We believed she wanted to get out earlier so she was unprofessional, rude and impatient. How can your only job is to show apartment and sell them to prospective tenants, but you are not happy to do so? She was even upset and expressed it to us when my BF took 2 small (company's provided) snacks for himself, one for me and a drink for each of us. They were small snacks for him, an active powerlifter so he took 2, so what?? They were cheap and little snacks there for prospective tenants. Snacks that we wouldn't normally eat (full of sugar and saturated fat).They were company's marketing strategy, not her belongings. People who are apartments' hunting can go on all day without eating or drinking. What a pity leasing agent. Maybe she needed those snacks to feed herself when she is NOT doing her job. She even failed to show us a 2/2 that we were especially interested in. What the heck was her actual job? The living room is not spacious enough, the place is small and location sucks/deserted. We need an extra room to set our desks (occasionally, my BF brings his work/projects home. I'm a graduate student with insane amount of confusing papers to write, I need SPACE just to think). We are doing the place a favor by considering it in our list. This place will take longer than necessary to fill up due to this angry/short-tempered/menopausal lady. Not all bad, a beautiful vibrant agent tried to make up for the menopausal lady. It was just a little too late. I didn't notice that my poor guy was upset until we got in the car. He was irritated, but very cordial. I just kept on smiling to see if the frown on the grinch's face would go away, not a chance. What a loser? My BF always said he would not going to let employees of a company (not invested or owners of the servicing company) affect his decision. Well, this lady definitely affected his decision. I'm genuinely impressed that she managed to do that. I'm just a sucker for impeccable customer service. If I'm out to eat or shop, I want the other party to show me courtesy. I'm paying my money. I moved to Town University 3 month ago and couldn't be any happier. The amenities are amazing, they offer gym classes twice a week, have more equipment than I've seen in some gyms, huge stream room and much more. The apartment itself is beautiful and has high end condo finishes! I moved here from downtown Fort Lauderdale and am very happy with my choice! No traffic, it's quiet and clean. read more

I just recently moved in to Town University Apartments from Tampa, Florida and I couldn't be happier! I am a graduate student and my main requests were that 1) the staff was nice and accommodating 2) the environment was quite and clean 3) the residents were respectful and clean. So far this apartment complex has not only satisfied my requirements but has gone above and beyond my initial expectations. The staff (maintenance and management) are very kind and willing to help you with whatever question or concern you might face. After spending 2 long and gruesome days apartment shopping I was so lucky to find a place like Town University. The staff was kind and considerate with my apartment search. They were not discouraging of other apartment complexes and they were truly there to help me when other apartment complexes were so adamant about putting the other down and being rude. My favorite thing is being a part of a community that greets you when you walk into the clubhouse and makes it their priority to make sure you are okay. I don't regret my decision at all choosing to live here and the best part is that it is wishing 5 minutes of my grad campus and more importantly 5 minutes from all my shopping and eating needs I would highly recommend living here to anyone, don't let poor reviews fool you! My husband and I moved in September of 2016 and we're locked into a 1 year lease. When we initially moved in it was owned by the construction company and the leasing office staff were great and very responsive. When they sold to Greystar it all went downhill fast. The leasing staff and management have been rude and short and always making promises but never following through (besides Debbie) she is awesome! They had an amazing maintenance guy that was always on top of everything but like all the good staff, he's no longer there. There were multiple break ins and we had hundreds of dollars of packages stolen from our front door. We had ants at least 3-5 times in our 1 year lease and were told it's just normal for Fl and to buy our own ant spray and wait a week till pest control can come. The gym wi-fi and TVs never worked and I told the office multiple times with no response. They also make you pay $50 for Poo Prints to ensure ppl will pick up after their dogs but I can tell you that I've never seen more dog poop in a property in my life and I stepped into it multiple times. read more

Recently moved in with my wife and we are more then blessed to have this as our first place. I cannot begin to express how amazing this place is. The location of the place is IDEAL! We have grocery stores, shopping plazas, and much more in just seconds of a drive or walk. Where to start on how terrible this place is.... There has been 3 robberies in the last 2 months with a gate that's mostly always left open, the maintenance staff has an excuse for everything they don't want to fix,a local business nearby called Fat Cat Cigars plays blaring loud music every other Saturday from 8:30 pm to past midnight that blares through the community and no one has done anything about it for months(so if your tired after a long work week then say goodbye to getting any sleep even with ear plugs), and to add on top of that the walls are thinner then paper so prepare to hear every step or toilet flush of your neighbor's. read more

ACTUALLY, IT WAS the maintenance staff who were the cause of my problem..When I was looking for an apartment rental, of course I decided to read reviews about the places that I was considering. Solle Davie had awful reviews, from break ins...to noise..to problems with management, to the quality of residents. So I looked around, but kept going back. I will tell you why. First of all, it was the ONLY property that would rent to me when I did not meet income requirements of 3x monthly rent, they obviously DID not check my credit, because other complexes required at least a half a months deposit, and as far as criminal, I am not sure that they even run that, if they do, THEY do not care if you have a record (probably as long as it is not a violent offense, they will most likely rent to you. Based on the looks of some of the residents (and the ones who follow you through the gate by tail gating you). I have seen some "Shady" looking characters....in there....WELL here is the scoop.....Whatever you do.....DO NOT CHOOSE UNIT 5105! It had been vacant for 5 months before I rented it....and it is "BAD LUCK" , it brings BAD KARMA in that unit!!!!! The electrical wiring is faulty...& unless you are 6 ft 2 or live with someone who is...you will not be able to reach anything...it is a danger hazard! It happened to me....& I am suffering greatly. Maintenance even admitted to the faulty electrical wiring. I have it recorded. If you do choose a first floor unit, be sure to have a tall ladder because you will need it!!! You will not be able to adjust anything, ac flow, fan speed, fan control WITHOUT standing on something which is an accident waiting to HAPPEN!!! TAKE this seriously. The apartment might look pretty....but it is not operational in a safe way for an average size person!!! STAY away FROM apartment 5105!!!!!! I should have trusted my gut.....and never moved in Solle Davie. You know when something is not right. We couldn't resist how pretty the apartments were and we figured it would be a nice safe place to live. Since we've moved in here there have been 3 break ins. 2 crime scene units outside of our building as well as a full blown swat team surrounding our building with guns looking for someone who lived inside our building. This alone has made it hard to be comfortable living here. They have suggested us a latch to buy for the door and that's about all. Besides this, we've had issues with our stove not heating correctly, our dishwasher not drying our dishes and causing mold on our dishes and a panel that since we have moved in has been down on the floor broken. I have put in 3 different work orders to be fixed and as you would think it would be extremely simple for them to come in and service it has been 8 months and still nothing... Went into the leasing office the other day and the new girl that works there had a horrible sarcastic attitude and told me there ac has been out and implied to me just as she has to suck it up and deal with it I should suck it up and deal with it since the maintenance people haven't gotten around to it. I'm extremely confused as to why someone with such an attitude should be working in a leasing office with customers.. As well as back to when they were auditing and missed a bunch of signatures she had an attitude then as well. With how expensive this apartment complex there should be better customer service as well as actual maintenance being done when requested not just an email saying it's completed when it wasn't.
