We really felt that they cared about our parents and our family. It was a lovely, clean, well run home. It's furnished so it looks lovely and homey. We especially liked that there were resident pets....Marmalade, the cat, and Susan (one of the directors) brings her sweet little dog, Lola, to work every day. Unfortunately, my father's conditioned quickly deteriorated and we decided not to move him at all (he needs 24 hr nurse now), but I wouldn't hesitate to look here for your loved ones. It's a gem.

BUT ARBORS WILL NOT RETURN OUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. She often missed being given meds. Her hearing aids were lost. She fell twice and had to be hospitalized, and lost a tooth during the fall. Being incontinent, we'd hoped her diapers would be checked morning, mid-day and night, but they were changed infrequently. We visited 2-3 times weekly, and she was always urine-soaked. Arbors went through 3 different Executive Directors during Mom's stay. The current director had called us to a meeting, with veiled threats about only being obligated to give us 30 days notice before being forced to leave. We were devastated. We did not wait, and removed Mom quickly. Run from this place!!!!!

They took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly, which gave our family a lot of peace of mind during a stressful time. I especially want to recognize Ricky. He was exceptionally patient, professional, and respectful when speaking with my grandmother, who has mild dementia. He treated her with genuine kindness and dignity, making her feel comfortable and heard. It meant so much to see someone take the time to communicate with her so thoughtfully. Absolutely do not send your loved one here. My mother came after a surgery and from the moment she…read moreentered they treated her aggressively and spoke to her like she was a child. Our first night there she needed help and they left her unattended for almost an hour. They forced her into a diaper even though her surgery after care said absolutely no diapers. She was constantly uncomfortable and not listened to. I found multiple roaches in every room we set foot into. On top of all of this my mother is deaf and they refused to get her an interpreter. They gave her a white board on the first day to communicate and when I returned the next day it was on the other side of the room... making it impossible for her to use. When I insisted she needs an interpreter for effective communication, they simply gave her a tablet THAT SHE HAD TO USE BOTH HANDS TO USE. Famously deaf people need their hands to communicate so this did not work and they did not offer a solution. At one point they caused her wounds to open and she was bleeding all over her body. They insisted that I come in and interpret so she wasn't scared.... hmm seems if they needed me they also needed an ACTUAL INTERPRETER. Please please do not send your loved ones here. My mother and I are still traumatized from our experience and I wouldn't wish what we went through on anyone. I'd give this place 0 stars if I could.

I had an extremely traumatic experience with Alvita a few years ago and now that I've just received…read morea letter about patient information being compromised in a hacking, I'm compelled to warn others about trusting loved ones in the care of this organization. When my mom was returning home after a debilitating stroke, we decided to bite the bullet and go with Alvita - which was more expensive than others but long calls with their rep assured me my mom would be in amazing hands and I'd be able to rest easy and enjoy "being a daughter again." The *best* of the three aides they sent was notably cold upon meeting her, and one whom my mom told me would literally snap and curse loudly when lifting her in the hoyer and doing her duties, making her feel like a burden and making her feel on eggshells in her own home. After that, it became a full nightmare. On the morning of a doctor appointment, where the aide was asked to have mom ready to go for her wheelchair transport, the aide literally left in the middle of changing mom - without any reason, warning or notice. I thought she was taking out garbage but she genuinely just ghosted. As a result, mom missed an important appointment with her oncologist while laying there undressed and helpless. That wasn't even the worst. The final aide, who didn't last long due to her cat phobia (side note, when reaching out to Alvita, their solution: maybe just get rid of the cats), we learned had been putting dirty, soiled/food-filled pots and pans away in mom's cupboards. As a result, the aide who took over discovered maggots everywhere and we had to replace a ton of mom's cookware. (I would share a photo if it wasn't so gross.) The recklessness and negligence of this company and its hiring decisions is unreal. Thankfully my mom had me to advocate and look out for her through all of this, but it's terrifying to think about folks without a support system who are on their own in the hands of people like these and sharing their homes with them. I highly recommend directing your loved ones anywhere else. Or making sure you check in frequently on the welfare of anyone you already happen to have in Alvita's system.

I have found this approach to be more effective for me than just using exercise machines and other equipment as the focus of therapy. They have a very unique and personalized program which starts with an evaluation of a patient's condition and a treatment plan. Their offices have very flexible schedules and convenient locations. I returned recently to get therapy after rotator cuff surgery. PT Mike continues to provide amazing therapy in a professional manner. One on one therapy, explains everything on the treatment plan. This office specializes in manual PT, no handoffs to aides or machines. Mike is patient, kind and interested. Karen in the office is kind and accommodating. Calls to the office are always returned promptly. My Orthopedist was thrilled with the PT I received. Bravo Sparacio, I will go no where else.
