But Diane wanted it, so we moved ahead to select ceramic tile and have the linoleum floor in the kitchen and utility room removed and replaced by tile. It was a dizzying experience. We soon learned that there are hundreds if not thousands of types and designs of tile. And, in the big box stores different designs just sit in rows on shelves with few prices marked and no sales associate nearby to offer any reasonable semblance of personal service. So we opted to go with a small business that specializes in tile and other flooring. Rainbow Tile & Carpet fit our needs perfectly. Its staff patiently guided us through different types of tile, and even let us take a few samples home to see what looked best with our appliances, cabinetry, kitchen table, and chairs. Once we selected tile and grout, our kitchen and utility room were measured during an on-site visit, and a firm quote was given on the spot to remove the old flooring and install a tile floor. The price seemed fair, and although it might have been a little bit higher than what we would have been quoted at a big box store, we received excellent customer service and knew we had explored various tile options before making an informed choice. Then the work was completed, and although it was clearly professionally done, three tiles of the whole lot were rather plain and just lacked pizzazz compared to the others. I mentioned this to Rick, the proprietor, and he agreed to replace the three tiles with three extra tiles that came from the same batch, at our convenience and at no additional charge. Tile layer Justin and his helper performed this additional work in about two hours time, and now Diane and I have a tile floor on which every tile looks sharp, and with which we are completely pleased. We appreciated the friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and highly competent service we received from the entire staff at Rainbow Tile & Carpet, and highly recommend this company to others needing or wanting a new tile floor--just like this business was recommended to us by friends.

They had two of their gentlemen come out, provide the repair. Super job! You can't tell where the puppy chewed up the carpet. Very thankful great job and staff were wonderful when they were out here. They screwed my floors up the first time then had them come back and do some repairs now they're worse! I have gaps, and messed up pieces of flooring that i had extra of! They slapped some putty on my messed up quarter round and they said they had order extra of! Took them MONTHS to get back to me on when they could even do the repairs ( they made no money ). My floors look worse now than they did before they sent a man who didn't speak any English and other to help who was just a warehouse worker! I spent almost 10k on my flooring!!! Including ceramic tile removal in some areas. Home was unoccupied and we are 2 hours away. Let's start with the Estimate. And Brianna. She showed up on time, with modern measuring equipment. Walked the job, asked the important questions and smoothly measured all of the spaces with a laser and a laptop. We had a quote within hours. After getting two other quotes, the choice was clear. FCI. Their bid was not the cheapest, but was 40% below the high bid. (The low bidder showed up hours late with a rusty tape measure) I went to their office with the check for the deposit. Amanda was well informed, and helped me schedule the work. The schedule needed stages. The tile removal always creates a lot of dust. And we were hiring a painter to paint the complete interior. Not a problem for FCI. Their subcontractor spent an entire day removing the old tiles and mortar. Then the job had to pause. For a couple of weeks. Once the painting crew was done the floors could be laid. We had chosen LVP, and had 3 pallets of the material delivered. As Clint started on the floor, Amanda and Brianna kept sending us progress reports with pictures. We watched as our bare floors came to life. It was fantastic customer service. In the digital age they made it easy to track progress. At one point we were actually in Canada while the work went on. Quality people. Quality results
