An estimate was emailed but was for another client. Despite a followup request by me by email and then a phone call, the estimate was never sent. Boy, was I glad! No issues - they are cheaper than a lot of other storage facilities that's why I parked my trailer there despite living in Oakland at the time. Then just in the past month I used them to park my old car there for a few weeks and told them my plan. They prorated the car the first month but refused to prorate the month of June when it was removed on June 10th. So I let that go and was charged for the entire month of June. Just today (July 1st) I've been charged fully for another month! Total oversight on their part when I told them the car had been moved out early June. I called today and spoke to a man who says he couldn't do anything about giving me a refund and refused to accommodate my request to possibly not charge me anything for June as I told them the car was only going to be there for a few weeks. He never apologized for the oversight of my move out email, and in charging me erroneously. I then asked him for the person's name and contact info who could help facilitate my request since he refused (they have a 30 day notice in general) to refund my money in full as I should not have been charged $109! He said he wouldn't give the info of the owner because I was being rude! Wow! I'm sure he would not have said that to a male customer. They are at fault and blaming me! Awful.

Alessandro has also been a great grounds keeper here in that he has been extremely helpful and responsive even out of business hours. Although we are 440 miles away from our valuable things, we feel very secure and safe with storing our property here throughout the year. Unfortunately we have had worse luck at other storage facilities where things have been stolen or molested on our property without being accounted for. Sonoma RV is affordable and upholds great service to their customers.

I was visiting a friend in Sonoma and one of my tires was low on air. I put air in the tire at the…read more76 station down the street from DeWitt's and and hour later I noticed the tire was getting low on air. When I arrived at DeWitt's I went inside and informed the woman in the office I had a tire that I thought had a nail in it. She asked me to leave the keys in the vehicle and someone would take a look. A young man came out and didn't say a word or give me eye contact. He drove into the shop and removed the tire. About 30 minutes later I was told the job was done and it would be $50. I know, inflation and all, but the last time I had a nail removed it was around $20. I didn't think to ask to see what he found in the tire. On all other tire repair occasions I was always shown what was in the tire. As I was leaving, the low tire pressure light was still on. I went back inside and asked the woman one, did they check all the tires to make sure they had the correct tire pressure and two, would they reset the low tire pressure light. I was told they usually check all tires to make sure they have the right air pressure (usually). That I needed to drive the vehicle 20 miles and the light would go off. I drove over 400 miles and the light is still on. I Googled how to reset the light and I need to release air out of each tire in order for the light to go off. Let's think about that. If the tires are inflated to the correct pressure and I need to let air out of each tire to reset the light, wouldn't it be best to do this at a shop where they can over inflate the tires or be able to put the lost air back in the tires? The tire repair may be excellent, but the overall customer service coming out of the shop was very disappointing.

Chris and Sara, the owners, who also live onsite, go out of their way to please their customers. I rented a 10-ft truck from them last week, when they already had promised all their 10-ft-ers to others; Chris decided to give a free size upgrade to one of the customers that had reserved a 10-ft, so that he could rent that 10-ft to me, a local repeat customer. Wow! He and Sara practically treated me, an 81-year-old who lives very close by in a seniors mobile home park, like family, even giving me a discount when I returned the truck. What a way to treat an occasional, repeat customer! I've also seen their interactions with other customers, treating everyone to friendly, efficient service. They are also a Certified Green Business, and all of their power comes from solar panels, so they really care about our environment. They deserve 10 stars!
