After my last visit in January, 2026, the hotel modified my reservation which somehow led to me not getting points or nights on my account. I made my reservation through Egencia with my coworker, who stayed the same length of time as myself. I have spent hours trying to resolve the issue with no contact from the hotel general manager. I will be following up with Marriott one last time to notify them of the lack of resolution. After our last stay in January, my coworker got his points immediately, while I was told I made my reservation through the wrong system. The same "wrong system" as my coworker, yet he had no issues. After receiving no communication or path forward from the general manager and staying a full week at the hotel with no contact, I can no longer stay at this location. I have been staying at this location for close to two years and will no longer be booking travel to this hotel. Nor will my coworker.

In the morning, I was able to take a peaceful stroll around the lake, walk across the bridge, and check out the convenient plaza full of restaurants. The staff are super friendly and warm. They have a quaint breakfast area/bar/coffee bar in the lobby. This hotel really has all the amenities you'd need for a comfortable stay. I slept wonderfully in their bed, and the shower pressure was great. This isn't a fancy hotel, but everything here felt clean and new. Really a great option if you're ever in the Sugar Land area!

The service was fine, but it wasn't even as friendly or approachable as staff at less expensive Marriott's in other parts of the state. The gym was solid, but several machines were down, which led to me having to run outside. I'd also suggest maybe a water bubbler instead of small water bottles to reduce plastic waste? I'm not Big Green, but it's a bit wasteful. The pool and hot tub area were fine, but for. April open later at night, the lighting is very bad. I was by myself on the rooftop a little later, and when it got darker I just didn't feel safe. I didn't see cameras, it wasn't lit well, slip and falls could be easy, and with that isolation, what if someone got hurt out there later at night? The elevators on certain floors were hard to work - the buttons weren't triggering requests, and I am not a fan of pressing a button that creates an electric current too hard out of shock risk. At the end, one of co-workers who has never and cannot smoke or vape got a $500 charge for smoking. She uses iodine for health purposes, and that with the steam could easily trigger the smoke alert. I also get that it could be actual smoke, but then why is nobody calling the room or coming to the room to investigate or advise the person the alarm went off? Just the surprise charge at checkout that you hope people don't catch? And then they made it impossible to speak to anyone about the issue to get the charge reversed. She got passed around to 5 different people and had to wait for 2 people to get back to 1 of the 5 people over a course of days. Overall, it is fine staying here, but definitely room for improvement.

Asked for a room upgrade based on status and received a slightly larger king room. Room (720): corner king room with all the usual equipment- desk, TV, mini-coffee maker, mini-refrigerator, etc. Room had vinyl plank flooring throughout but the floor was not properly cleaned. Bed: Decent king bed, decent linens Bathroom: shower only, barely adequate counter space, horrible lighting. Overall a poor bathroom that needs to be updated, esp the lighting. Overall room cleanliness: Below average, the floors needed cleaning Security: The elevators did not require room keys to access the guest room floors. Perks for status: Nice free breakfast at the restaurant, access to a very pathetic "lounge" with free water and pathetic snacks.

My room was spotless, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to relax after a long day. The staff here is genuinely friendly, which you don't always find. The night auditor gave a great welcome--professional, kind, and helpful right from the start. What really impressed me, though, was the breakfast. Instead of the usual repetitive hotel options, they actually put effort into it. Fresh breakfast burritos, pork carnitas, and chorizo--everything was flavorful and clearly made with care. The breakfast attendant kept everything stocked, the area clean, and was consistently warm and attentive. It's also in a great location--quiet, but still convenient to everything you need. If you're staying in the area, this is definitely a solid choice. You can tell this team takes pride in what they do.

Nothing detrimental to its reputation. This one had a little less, but is still worth the stay. The breakfast is good and changes a bit daily. Every Wednesday there is a "social" around dinner time offering fruit and cheese and best of all- free wine and beer. The manager on site was professional and knowledgeable. Very friendly and went above and beyond when we simply asked for a good dinner recommendation nearby. She really took her time explaining and answering questions, in fact we had to end up breaking away as we were getting hungry. She even provided coupons for free goodies from our decided restaurant. Now the bad- The water temperature varies a bit, getting hotter and colder slightly without adjusting the knob. My last night here (I stayed a week) the hot water seemed to run out, my shower was room temperature at best. The gym is pretty pathetic. Very small, consisting of a couple treadmills and a bleak selection of free weights (ranging maybe from 2 to 8lbs max) scattered on the floor. I will say I do appreciate this brand implementing a peloton bike in each of their gyms pretty consistently. Also, I did find what appeared to be bloodstains on the desk and the lampshade on top of it. Pictures provided. Now, it could be nail polish or something similar. I'm praying it was. I'm deducting a single star for these reasons alone, I'd normally rate this way less because the blood stains are kind of a big deal. The rest of the stay was very pleasant, the staff were great. I couldn't bring myself to deduct more, you draw your own conclusions.

She made sure that my best western rewards account was getting points for this purchase. She also told me that the hotel i stayed at the night before could retroactively have points added to it if i called customer care. She asked if i had a preference on floor, or end of the building. It just was a lot of questions i'm not typically used to being asked about location. I told her i was hauling a trailer with an F250 and there wasn't really a place for me to park. So, i was currently in a placed parked emergency lane -- she told me that the truck that i parked next to was also in the same boat, and it would be a non-issue, she would let the manager know. I went to my room, and noticed a full keurig set up, plenty of towels, and a clean shower. Perfect, time to eat and pass out. Upon waking up, i went to breakfast and there was quite the spread of food, a 3d printer thing for pancakes, breakfast burritos, sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy, fruit, cereal, you name it. I had a decent amount of food and got back on the road. It was a great stay, great breakfast, and great woman working the desk. My only regret is not getting her name, so i could call her out by name in this review.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchenette that included a fridge, microwave, sink, dishes, and glasses, plus a couch with ottoman and a comfortable king bed. One recommendation: try to get a room facing away from Highway 6 because those rooms are much quieter. Our room was on the backside of the hotel and had very little road noise. There were a few downsides during our stay. One of the two elevators was completely out of service the entire time, but there was never a sign posted on it, so guests kept pressing the button and waiting unnecessarily. It would be very helpful if management placed a maintenance sign on the elevator letting guests know it was temporarily closed. Also, the TV initially wasn't working and kept showing an error message, though maintenance later reset it after we notified the front desk. The blackout shades also didn't fully seal around the window, so a lot of sunlight came into the room during the day. Breakfast was solid, with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice, and coffee. The breakfast staff member was especially friendly and welcoming. Overall, if you're looking for a comfortable extended-stay style hotel in the Sugar Land/Stafford area with a kitchenette and spacious rooms, I'd recommend this Home2 Suites.
