When you go there you can't put it on an account you have to pay. Now, you need to have a yearly membership card Instead of telling them where you work to receive the discount. The more that is bought the better the reward program, so most companies want you spending money because it helps them, the employee gets a perk, doesn't harm anyone ( you're paying). Today bill was $75. If I was a member it would have been $50. That's a big difference. When you go there the pricing advertised in 150 font is the member price and the 16 font price is nonmember. I looked over what I was purchasing and put back a majority of it because I know that Amazon has it. This is a losing situation for the company I work for, and for themselves. I want to support local business, please don't have policy that prevent that. Even though I no longer cook professionally I can seriously say I can always find the things I need for cooking at home! They are well stocked on the cooking tools and essentials! Plenty of choices for spices you don't need to buy an over abundance of an item they do sell smaller packages! If your looking for high grade appliances they do have restaurant grade here! Do you want a cookie sheet, wisk, wok, table ware? This place has it and a thousand other things This store doesn't require a membership. Anyone can shop here it's a huge warehouse with restaurant equipment and much of the necessary supplies. I love to cook and I'm from out of town and this is one of my first and favorite stops. It's really fun. There are spices, cans of condiments, drink concentrate , paper products ,cookware , and much more. It's worth a little time to check it out. I got some stainless bowls and an apron. This place have everything you need to open your own restaurant (though I wouldn't recommend it in this area), have a family reunion, a party, a wedding....etc you name it. If it has anything to do with serving any type of food or drink to the masses then this is your go to place (sorry, they don't serve alcohol). The store is open to the public, but be prepared to trip over boxes and flat beds being used by store owners buying things in bulk. Depending on what you are looking for this place could double as a Costco/Wal-Mart type place. They do have single items (see photos) but you can also get a supersized can of vegetables, nacho cheese, ketchup...etc . They have a extensive seasoning collection which is much cheaper than what you will pay at Target or Giant. The majority of the items in the store are not edible and are for serving customers ( ie pizza boxes) and/or maintaining a store/restaurant. As for prices I guess they are ok at best, it's not dirt cheap that's for sure. I needed syrup for my homemade lattes and they have approx.. 60 different flavors. I bought a 24 oz of syrup for about 6.50 and I've seen it everywhere else for $8 so there's a little savings there. I will be back for a pizza wire pan next week! I stopped here to pick up some glassware for a friend/coworker who is having a beer tasting. He gave me the 'part' number and I arrived about 15 minutes after work. The glassware was right inside the door on display and they have a kiosk with access to their web page so you can order items that are not in stock. I was very glad they have public bathrooms because it is kind of a warehouse showroom kind of place. I checked out the glassware display and they had at least 100 different wine, beer and cocktail glasses. They had swingtop clear bottes and novelty glassware too. I had to look at the end of an aisle were more glassware was and move a big cardboard box to see the small 5.5 oz brandy snifter boxes he wanted, but I got them and checked out right before they closed which was good timing. read more

The pump runs quieter and cooler with 7 oz. of fluid. 5. The seller was unable to properly identify a vendor that can service/repair the unit. 6. The Restaurant Store sold the unit at a good price. Customer service people are friendly and helpful, except for the technical specs regarding the amount of hydraulic oil the unit requires. They can only go by the manual. At this point if they had zero Stars I would give them zero. I am a small soon-to-be business owner and we are in the midst of opening and I had purchased 125 pound Choice ice bin back in June ($299) I had no reason to put ice on it I trusted that the manufacturer could build a nice bin correctly. When I put ice on it over the weekend it leaked water throughout my whole food truck. There was a pin sized hole in the plastic that was a manufacturing defect. They said they do not warranty their products and there is nothing that they can do to help me! I will not be doing any more business with this company. I am not one as interested as rating stores as I am about rating restaurants because I feel as if the overall shopping experience at most stores is so lackluster that I would much prefer to shop online and avoid the typical sales associate who doesn't give a crap about their job or their company. Though, who can blame them? Typically the company doesn't care much about them either. Well, I am digressing fast, so let's get to the review. Selection: Overall, I love this store for their very vast assortment of restaurant-quality items. Literally, this is stuff you will find at restaurants all across America. From plateware, to utensils, to cooking supplies and apparel (hats, coats, aprons, etc) -- this place is legit. I love the restaurant industry. I am a self-taught home cook with some pretty impressive talents in the kitchen, on the grill, etc. -- though, I may be a little bit biased. Suppose I should let me awards do the talking :-). Ok, enough bragging...the point is, if you have a passion for cooking, the restaurant industry, or you just want to come and check out some high-quality cooking equipment to stock your own kitchen -- this is the place. I have had some really friendly people assist me, and I have had some really unfriendly people assist me. Overall, it balances out to be a pretty traditional retail experience. On our most recent trip, we got there on Saturday at 3:55. Didn't know they closed at 4. Walking up to the store we were hounded from the second we were within five feet of the main entrance. I used to work retail, so I feel your pain. Nothing is worse than when a customer walks in on a Saturday right before you close. HOWEVER...take that as an opportunity to proactively help them. THe interaction went like this: When my family and I were within 5 feet of the store: "We close at 4." "Oh", I said, "What time is it?" ( I whip out phone and see it is 3:55). "Yikes, I'll make it quick." RIGHT THERE, instead of saying nothing, the associate should have followed-up with, "Well, what are you looking for? Maybe I can help you find what you are looking for?" That was a real customer service opportunity missed because they were so annoyed and concerned with me getting there 5 minutes before closing, that they lost sight of the fact that people like me are the reason that there store is in business and that they have jobs. By the way, I exited the store with a purchase as the clock struck 4:00. Service: 2 / 5 (3 - 1 for poor experience) Atmosphere: The store is set up like a restaurant-lover's wonderland. There is awesome stuff all over the place and it is pretty easy to navigate. As you walk in, the right has a lot of dining-room items (high chairs, salt shakers, plateware, etc.) In the back-right are some bulk food items. Straight back is a lot of kitchen utility equipment and some small appliances (whisks, knives, fryers, etc.) To the left is some active cooking equipment (Pots, pans, etc.). I also think there are some bulk paper options as well. Overall, I love the feel of this store because it has a bunch of stuff I love in it. If the service was friendlier, I may be more apt to spending more money here. Atmosphere: 3 / 5 (4 - 1 for a borderline unwelcoming environment) Final Thoughts: I love just walking around this store. Just looking at all the equipment and gadgets makes me want a commercial kitchen of my own. I really love stores like this; but the reason why I primarily shop online is because most retailers ruin the buying experience for me by hiring personnel who don't understand that their job is to be welcoming, helpful, attentive, and polite. I think that encompasses the bare minimum of any retail worker. When that isn't achieved, the overall experience suffers. Conversely, when you come into contact with someone who actively engages you and helps, it significantly improves the overall buying experience. I just wish more workers were like that. read more

Wanna start your own restaurant? Need to stock up the business you already have? Are you just a foodie/cook who loves kitchen stuff? Then come here. It's a warehouse full of goodies. Everything from the signage on the wall pointing to the bathrooms, to woks so big you could stir fry a whole litter of kittens, er, chicken. I love coming in here and getting lost in their aisles of syrups, spices, stock pots, knives, whisks, cutting boards, chef jackets and protective gloves. Bar-tending tools as well, jiggers, shakers, breakers, stoppers, muddlers, corkscrews, auto-measuring pour spouts. I can't even go into everything they have. I just wandered aimlessly taking pictures of all manner of things. Need a stock pot large enough to boil a midget? They got it, it's to your left. Want an industrial fry-o-later? No problem, it's in the back. Need boxes of Styrofoam cups and take out containers? They are in the rear-left of the store. To try and sit here and tell you everything they have would be impossible, the best thing I can tell you to do is just go look for yourselves. As Matt pointed out, they have a ton of glassware on the wall. You get the number and have it punched up on the computer to show their stock and pricing options, they even give you a deal for buying in bulk (of course they would). Prices on everything are reasonable. They usually have some kind of sale going on for various items, but you won't find dirt cheap prices, just comparable to other places to buy things. The center island is where the registers and employees hang out. They are pretty nice people and will walk you to what you are looking for if you ask them. If you are a food gizmo junkie then you will love this place. Been to this location as well as the Lancaster store. Service is always good. Place is kind of a mess, but I don't mind. Looking for anything small to large they have it. The website is fun to prowl on and build a wish list. Home cook, restaurant chef, food store owner....will find what you need and want. read more
