You don't need a membership card to shop here but it helps. Without one, you must register at the desk for a day pass. Totally worth it! I purchased frozen steaks at the end of June and placed it in my freezer (not a refrigerator freezer). The New York strips were fine but when I grilled a different cut of steak (I forget the cut) it had a weird odor and taste. I thought it might be a one off so I grilled a second steak which has the same issues. I was told by Restaurant Depot staff that the 11 remaining steaks cannot be returned because of the time lapse even though they were constantly frozen. I am now going to throw away around $150 of meat. read more

Whatever you do don't do an online order. Just spent over an hour in there because my order wasn't picked. Someone went to pick it for me. Came back with 3 of 14 items and 1 was wrong. When I asked about getting it myself was told it'll be quicker that way. Total shit show. All the employees laughed at how awful it is and said it's always that way. My family and I shop there on a regular basis. It is really hit or miss on if you can find someone to help you, this is not a negative on the blinds it's just they are busy. Especially with the crazy prices of things today their prices cannot be beat. The quality is the same as it is everywhere else, check the boxes before you buy something because once in a great while some thing might not be the best. This is no fault of theirs, this is they just have a lot of inventory and they do the best they can. read more

Issac is rude and disrespectful and does not care about the loyal customers. I also don't like the way I see him treating some of the employees. A ginormous warehouse full of fresh produce, fresh and frozen food items of every variety and more ginormous canned and packaged food goods along side what seems like everything you could possibly need to prepare, cook and serve them. Clean and well organized store despite lackluster customer service. Purchases are Member only--food service industry and non profit folks, covered parking area, no traditional shopping carts here---grab a push cart type dolly and wander freely. Remember to bring a jacket--cooler/freezer area is also ginormous. I could spend hours exploring these aisles. Is ginormous a word? Probably not, but tell me after your visit. read more

Have been satisfied in unigue appliances and freezer's refridgerator's and ice makers ; but want them to offer dispensing glass door samplers such as the top and front door ones that they sold in the past ! Buyers beware. Some food items are out of date or freezer burnt. They have a online pick up that doesn't allow returns until after 24 hours. Even if you accidentally got an item which you didn't choose online but was given to and u try to bring back after 5 minutes from walking outside with it and realized then. Really disappointed with them. As a female you should always have guys to help load us. Nope again for the millionth time I ask for help and no one comes out. Not to mention there's like 4 people laughing up front but only 1 cashier. Since when did they turn into a Walmart. Only shop here but I must buy no one in there knows anything. I usually deal with Restaurant Depot in Capital Heights, MD, but decided to try out this location. Although I agree with the previous customer's review about it being well stocked and clean, I also agree with another reviewer who said he was treated rudely and that customer service was poor. I made the mistake of asking why my check was declined at the register. I was told first by the cashier that my check was declined by my own bank. I responded that wasn't possible and gave her a credit card instead. Nothing more was said at this point. After leaving the RD, I called my bank to see what was up. They said there should not have been a problem, and they did not receive any attempt to process my check from RD. Upon calling RD back I got, who I believed to be a manager, Jason. It went downhill from there. He said that RD uses a third party agency to screen checks and "they" declined my check because of an abnormal quantity of checks being written from my account. Mind you, I have written 2 in the past week! Jason said he could not help but that I should call the third party company myself. Now, having wasted 20 minutes already, he suggested "I" deal with their problem myself. So when I did I received an automated service. Long story short. I tried yet again to get an answer from Jason at RD. He accused me of yelling at his cashier, NO, cussing at him, NO, and hanging up on him, also NO! He then said he would speak to me no further and hung up. The next day I followed up by calling the branch manager, Ryan who I spoke with only after being put on hold for 15 minutes without a anyone picking up. I then had to call back. When he finally picked up after being on hold at great length again, I found him to be equally rude and dismissive, again blaming the 3rd party check security company, He added a bunch of additional erroneous comments that were absolutely false and refused further discussion. It was not until I spoke with the corporate manager, Gary, that I even received an apology. He was great and quickly, directly, and respectfully explained the situation. Something the Harrisburg RD management could have done in a matter of minutes, but they chose to be defensive, unapologetic and rude. My advice, call the corporate office if you have a problem. "They" were extremely helpful and courteous. read more
