This is how he left the "finished job" before any complaints were made. They made a mole hill trying to merge the two sides together.

I hired Ivan Reyes to extend my concrete patio by 10 x 10. I paid $564 by check for materials & was scheduled for Friday 4/12 at 9 AM - he did not show or call. I left a voicemail & emailed. At 11 AM he said he was on his way, showed up at 5:45 PM and no work was done. Saturday 4/13. he showed up without communication around 6 PM, dug a hole, and left. They did not call 811 before or after. Sunday 4/14 they began concrete, were there for most of the day, & left around 7 PM without saying anything. They left the patio half-done with a rigid stop line and dirt all over. On 4/15 they come back while I am at work. On camera, they came at 10 AM. All of a sudden at noon I got an email saying the job was complete and to rate it. When I came home I was completely taken aback when I saw the condition they left it in. The other half they did was completely rushed and uneven, crooked lines, very deep. Where they tried to blend the halves was a hump and did not conceal whatsoever. They left heaps of dirt all over my neighbor's yard which he said he would fix before they left. On Tuesday 4/16 I called & told him the condition was unacceptable; he said they would come back to take off the wood and move the dirt. He said what else do you want, are you mad about a line?" I told him it was unacceptable, & he said he would come over and put a "skin" on it, or a thin layer to try to make it look smooth cosmetically. He said he was on his way to me now, he never should up that day or contacted me at all. Wednesday 4/17 I contacted him saying that a thin "skin" over it was not going to hold up & it was not an acceptable solution. I told him it needed to be redone correctly. His assistant emailed me back and said he is not redoing it because nothing is wrong with it and it is going to crack anyway so the skin was fine. I told them I was not ok with it and they refused to redo it. I would like to add my HOA president was present when Ivan's employees called him out in his initial lie (of many) that he was going to fix it by telling us they were only told to fix the "worse half." They even said that they would not want this work at their house. Moreover, Ivan became argumentative and stated he didn't want to do business in my community after he was told by the HOA president that he was no longer going to be board-approved for any jobs. Ivan's employees also wreaked of alcohol that day, and have left garbage and cigarette butts all over. Believe it or not, this was just the beginning of the issue. He eventually sent me a text message and said if I let him try to fix it, if it cracked within one year he would redo it. I gave him a date (which he never responded to or confirmed) and just showed up to put the thin layer on our patio. He said not to walk on it for 2 days. No furniture of any kind was placed on it, nor had anyone walked on it for nine days. It started peeling and discoloring immediately. I reached out to him to address the cracks, and he went back on his word and tried to tell me he would redo it, but I would need to pay for the materials...... in what world? I bought materials, they used them up and did the job wrong. Moreover, he left permanent shoe marks on the original concrete patio I had which will never go away even with a pressure washer. The patio looks terrible, it's uneven, chipping and breaking away, and he got concrete stains on my awning pillars, the edges are shaped like a 5-year-old's ceramic project and he refuses to respond. His wife, Daniella, has poor managers and instigated the issue saying that anyone else would have charged us more for the job and made several wicked and unprofessional comments. I have since been engaged with the BBB and have had this all investigated. I have provided evidence of all communication, photos, and a timeline of all of this. While I wait for resolution, I have noticed more and more negative reviews of their poor work pouring in on multiple websites and it is no wonder why he is avoiding me. He can't afford to fix everyone's shoddy and botched concrete work. They did their website with a section that states that they are "loved by their customers" and every customer comment is negative. Please do not do business with this company. It will cause severe and expensive damage and more money in the end to clean it up.
