if I could get zero stars, I would I called to simply book an appointment for a Groupon as a gift. I asked the woman to give me four available days that she can do a she can only do one Groupon per day, and that apparently was too difficult for her to give me four days of availability so I can therefore give that to the person I'm gifting it to and she can pick what day is best for her and then we can go ahead and book the appointment out of those four available days. She got very hostile. Very rude. And was making it seem like I was trying to get something out of her when I simply was trying to book an appointment. I came across New Yongkang Therapy via Yelp search and was presently surprised. I would highly recommend using the appointment request feature via Yelp they were incredibly prompt with a reply. The spa looks small from the outside, but was quite spacious on the inside. I should also note that the spa was very clean and modern. The staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and prompt. the prices were beyond fair. 30 minutes of reflexology for $30? Sold! However, my overall experience was not so. This has to do with the following. I pay fairly but I don't like the feeling of being nickled and dimed. 1. No petals in the water and no tea came with this Groupon. A bottle of water was handed off to me as I was leaving. 2. There is no $29 30-minute service. The regular service is $60 per hour cash. They offered $29 to get people to try the service. So no discount, really. 3. There is a large tabletop menu board that states the "suggested" gratuity but it starts off with: "30 minutes - $10-$15"...what? Mind you, there is no 30-minute service as a standard. 4. I enjoyed the foot massage, thankfully, that I asked if I can pay the difference to make it 1 hour. I was told that yes, to pay the difference of $30. I thought having paid $29 + $30 was fair. Then I will tip at least $12. Once I was done and about to pay, I was charged $35 because I was not paying in cash. A detail that was not shared with me when I opted to extend. The lady points to the price board that was so confusing. Then settles on the line that states 60 mins $65 CC (meaning credit card) then above it, 60 mins $60. To top it all, I was told that the real price is $65 but they offer $60 as an incentive discount for cash payments. At this point, I did not argue, paid the $35, gave $12 (feeling embarrassed because of the suggested $10-$15 gratuity for a 30-minute service). It's a shame because I liked the service and I am no stranger to foot massages but this whole pricing scheme left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I never made it here, fortunately. I booked my appointment after reading some iffy reviews and didn't have a good feeling but felt there were some good reviews and I should give it a try. Grace, the owner called me the evening before in the middle of dinner with my family to tell me to be on time the next day. This was after she sent me the same text that I didn't rush to answer and she demanded to know why I didn't answer. I ended up cancelling at 6am the next morning (for an 11am appt) because my 1 year old woke up with a fever-nothing anyone could have predicted. I used the yelp messager to make the appointment and they responded quickly and answered promptly to my needs. Me and my significant other both got great massages. The lady who did my massage is also the receptionist doesn't really speak English so it's hard for me to tell her where on my body i need her to focus on. When I arrived at the appointment time, there was only one lady named Diana, who seemed unaware of my appointment. After explaining that I had booked online, she took me to the massage room and asked me to change and lie on the bed. While getting ready, I received a call from the number I had previously dialed for the appointment, and it was the same lady asking if I had called. The conversation was abrupt and impolite, lacking proper greetings or context. Additionally, I noticed that the sheets in the room had an unpleasant smell, so I decided to leave the place. The best massage I ever had. I am in a lot of pain today especially my neck and the right side of my shoulder and mid back. I yelped massage in my area and Im glad that I came here I messaged New Yongkang Therapy and received a response very quickly and they were able to accommodate the time I requested. I went in and the place was very clean and neat. Danny greeted me and she asked me where my pain was when I told her she was honest and told me that it will hurt since I was so tight and in pain already. She made me feel very comfortable and made sure to ask me where I was feeling the most pain so that she could make sure she got to those knots. Even though im still in pain Danny explained to me that I should feel better and I actually was able to move my neck more than I did when I walked through the door. Awesome massage by Dani yesterday. My entire right side was knotted up from working/sleeping funny. I didn't tell her that the one side was really bad but she was able to tell on her own and spent a lot more time working on the muscles that were in worse shape. She checked in with me on the pressure a few times which I always appreciate. My boyfriend also received a great massage from the other woman who was working.
