If I could give any recommendation it would be for the ambiance (I'm not going to take a star away though). Also the location itself looks a bit dated, great for the homey feel but you can see it needs a bit of a facelift (water damage on ceiling, tears in chairs, etc). I try to eat vegetarian in the morning, and I'm allergic to wheat, which makes dining out a little more complicated than it should be. My boyfriend found this little café outside Banff, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the better food surprises of the trip. We both ordered the Pad Thai -- one loaded with extra protein, one without. I had low expectations. I've eaten enough Thai food to know that about 7 or 8 out of 10 places overcook the noodles. It wasn't overly sweet or heavy like many North American versions. The balance was just right.
