Ordered 1 half lb, 2 6 oz cheeseburgers with 2 medium fries and 1 small hummus with pita. The price difference between a 6 oz and 1/2 lb burger is only a dollar. I'll remember that for next time. The burgers come with cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle, mustard, ketchup and mayo. Next time, I'll order the burgers with just cheese, pickle, lettuce and onion. Friendly, helpful, casual, relaxing vibe. I've only had the Mediterranean side of the menu and I've been stopping in for years. It is delish. Consistently good. From the Rock Salad to the hummus, grape leaves or baba ghannoush, whichever you're in the mood for, they come with pita (pillowy and warm). I've also had the falafel and gyros, it's all worth it. Also enjoyed the baklava and lady fingers with pistachios at various times for dessert. Easy street parking near the restaurant or in the deck on Mulberry/College Ave a block away. One of my family's favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and the service will always keep us coming back. We forgot to ask for one of the dishes with no mushrooms and we reordered and paid for a corrected one. The staff checked with us multiple times making sure that they could not just remake it for us. Since it was our mistake, we wanted to make sure we paid for it and I will have it for leftovers since I was fine with how the dish was made. I won't be back to this restaurant. The staff back in the kitchen doesn't use gloves. I saw them grabbing pickles out of the bin with bare hands. Stroking hair with bare hands then picking up food and preparing plates. We got delivery while in the area, and the food was quite good and arrived quickly. Gyro was definitely up to expectations and my wife liked the falafel sandwich which was huge - she wished she had actually saved half for later. Babaganoush was not the best I've ever had but still pretty good and served with plenty of warm and tasty pita slices. This restaurant is terrific. I am spending the weekend at the Marriott and spent much time on Yelp trying to find a restaurant for Saturday's dinner. Looks like I came here about 5 years ago so I was looking to try a new to me restaurant. Take a look at their Health Score on their recent inspection. They scored 100% with no violations. If you think that most restaurants would score a 100% you would be very, very wrong. I always check the restaurant's Health Score and have found that even 'good' restaurants usually have at least 4 violations. Reasons I chose The Rock Restaurant and not a new to me restaurant: 1. The 100% Health inspection score. 2. In the mood for a hamburger and they offer 2 sizes. 3. Lots of reviewers mentioned that their french fries are delicious. 4. Proximity to the Marriott. The 8 ounce burger was delicious. The sesame bun was very fresh. As other reviewers noted the french fries were fantastic. We stopped here because they have outside tables that are pet friendly and we were traveling with our dog. This place is super overrated! I was told my a couple friends that this place was great. I got the chicken gyros meal and grape leaves. The "gyros" was just pieces of chicken without seasoning in a pita. Super disappointing since I've had great chicken gyros from other places. Things are labeled as gluten free, but they are not. Falafel is fried in the same oil as gluten containing items, so not celiac safe.
