    #4 steak and eggs
    Eli T.

I heard raving reviews about this place from some friends who are locals. Went here for some breakfast to see for myself. Nice place very hidden gem feeling, definitely a local hangout off the beaten path. Prices were extremely reasonable, service was fair, and food tasted good. Very typical breakfast/brunch fair, I got the steak and eggs which came with a few oz of sirloin, two eggs, tons of hash browns, and toast. Great deal for $7 dollars the prices cannot be beat!

One of the cheapest breakfast places I've ever been to. Food quality is awesome and our waitress was very kind. Definitely a place where you'd want to be early on the weekends, and could make a tradition out of. The steak was very good despite being thin, and definitely worth only paying $7. Great place!

Everything about this place is fantastic from the service to the food. Our waitress was great and always made sure to check in with us. She was busy but she always knew to let us know that she was getting to us next and she followed through. One of the best parts about this restaurant is cheap breakfast. I've never been to a restaurant where I could get so much food for such a low price. One might think this sounds sketchy, but this place is legit. My friends and I all got a #2 and we loved our meals. Our waitress even asked if my friend's bacon was crispy enough just to make sure we were enjoying our food. I was starving so I couldn't wait for the food t come, but it was worth it. This restaurant takes cash and local checks only so have some cash on you. I can't wait to come back here in the future as this place is delicious and cheap.

What a great community, affordable, and hearty breakfast diner in town! I've heard great things about the food here because of their price. I finally got the chance to come here and try their breakfast and it didn't disappoint. We had the French toast and sausage omelet. The food portion was huge and all tasted really delicious. Especially the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly, not overly salty or greasy. Bacon was cooked perfectly too. Noteworthy is their ambiance. The restaurant is full of regulars, from sitting yourself, open kitchen, affordable lunch buffet, and friendly staff. It was packed and full of conversations and calm joy. The restaurant is well decorated with funky and funny stuff. And, they are using environment-freindly paper straws. How cool! :)

I decided to try out Keller's after having an unsatisfactory breakfast at another establishment. I ordered the bacon omelet to compare. It's what a bacon omelet should be. They used real chunks of bacon. The hash browns tasted great. Which was good because the ketchup was gross. It's the cheap stuff that is usually called "Fancy Ketchup." Our waitress wasn't the warmest person I've ever met. I'll take that over bad food at this point. The place as an interesting decor. It's like a granny went to an antique store to decorate her trailer and forgets to dust those nic nacs. It gives the place a special charm. I want to return to try their horseshoe. It's a dish I judge very harshly. How that experience goes, I might update my review.

Bottom Line: If you're looking for something quick , cheap, homestyle that leaves you full without feeling like Shamu... then you're at the right place. This is a standard greasy spoon that is unpretentious, no frills, and a great local spot. If you're the kind of person that has to ask for "special" things and changes to your meals then go somewhere else princess. Don't try for egg whites, or sugar free... go somewhere else. For those of you that like a little more detail... Payment: Cash only. But they do have an ATM. Seating: Seat yourself. No one will tell you how long the wait is. A few stools at the bar, but unless you start going here for awhile I would save those for the regulars. Yes, everyone is a regular but you. The dining area has about 15ish tables... some in the front near the windows with a view of a TV and some in the back. Not good for big groups. Ditch some friends to keep it to 4. Coffee: Good. Nothing fancy, but fresh. Cream and sugar on the table. Service: You're not going here to be pampered people, but you'll get coffee and it will be refilled. You won't sit forever either. You order, you get your food, pretty simple. What did we order? My are you nosey... The #3 which is Biscuits and gravy, eggs, hashbrowns and toast. The hubby ordered this and said the gravy was nice and thick. Likes it better at Garden of Paradise, though a good option in town. Hashbrowns were good, nothing to write home about but you get hashbrowns and they taste like hashbrowns. No complaints. Ordered scrambled eggs and they were obviously fresh, not that out of a milk carton crap. More on the dry side, but I like them that way. The #6 which is 2 small pancakes, definitely homemade and yummy... not perfect circles if you know what i mean. Also came with a choice of meat, I chose bacon and got three perfectly cooked slices, crisy and chewy, a tough combo for most. And scrambled eggs which were as I said closer to dry but that's how i like them anyway. The Damage? #3 plus #6 plus 2 coffees = 8.75 add on a tip and that's a pretty good deal :-)

We had a reservation so we were seated promptly at a large table in its own little alcove in the back. While the place was busy, we could chat comfortably with one another and felt adequately separate from other tables. The menu has a bit of everything, so everyone should be able to find something they like on it. We started with cocktails, mozzarella sticks, and pretzel bites. The cocktails were good but I could've used less sweetness in mine. The mozzarella sticks and pretzels bites were standard, which means they were great as usual. For a group of 5 of us, an order of each was enough to hold us over until the main meal. I personally got the fish sandwich for my dinner with fries. The fish was great and large enough that it hung over the sides of the bun. My only complaint about the sandwich was the lack of tartar sauce on it. The cook must have just added the smallest dash, as the only sign it was there was a little spot of discoloration on the bun. The fish was good but the sandwich would have been better with more moisture from that tartar. The fries it came with were standard shoe string fries. Nothing special but hit the spot all the same. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well and we left comfortably full with no leftovers. Overall the meal came at a good pace, the atmosphere was nice, and the prices were reasonably. If in town again we would come back here.

It was fine, though the cocktail sauce could have used a little more horseradish. The basket of warm bread and whipped butter was great. And The salads were excellent (we went for a standard greens salad and a Caesar salad). For the main dish, we each ordered a bacon wrapped filet, medium rare, with Brussels sprouts. The filets were prepared as directed, but seemed dry, tough and flavorless. Disappointed. But worse was the Brussels sprouts (one of our favorites). The sprouts were hard, woefully undercooked and crunchy. Not in a good way. The flavor was lost in the rough texture. Very disappointed. The staff seemed a little flustered too. Brought a side a sautéed onions when we'd ordered mushrooms. Too bad, as we had enjoyed our pasta meals before and had expected a steakhouse to perform better.

We're pretty familiar with what they used to, and are trying, to be and while we have come to expect lofty goals, it seems like the longer in the tooth this place gets, the more they lose focus. Our most recent Valentines visit reinforced this with some disappointing bar service and a 'special featured' appetizer that took our disappointment to the next level. I get that on a busy night like Valentines, stuff happens, but in this case it was still relatively early (5:30 pm) and they had more than enough employees, it's just that those workers constantly stepped on each other, ignored customers for lengthy stretches, and missed a few details that used to come naturally at this place. Combine that with food delivery confusion and a complete fail on the supposed special feature of "sealed scallops with risotto" app and it left us feeling unfulfilled on what should have been a romantic visit. The next time they offer the scallop app, we strongly suggest they actually do more than wave one side of the scallop over a lukewarm-warm pan (nothing that resembles a 'sear') and figure a way to cut the greasiness of the garlic rice dollops without covering everything in pea tendrils such that you don't notice the lack of sear marks and oily pooling. We give the place three stars based on the still modern and comfortable decor, nice ambiance, robust cocktail & beer selection and the execution of the Tuna Tartare - still one of the lady's favorite bites in town. Perhaps it's just a management/training issue, but it touches both the kitchen and the floor and will hopefully be addressed before our next visit.
