Stopped in today for an impromptu flower arrangement and the staff was welcoming, accommodating, had beautiful flower options and created a stunning arrangement on the spot for a very reasonable price. They're now called "TK & Co. Atelier" and they not only offer flowers, they also have the ability to include bottles of wine, champagne, etc. with purchase or delivery, which is a unique service based on what I've seen in the area. I stopped in quick for a gift for family they had just lost their dog and the woman working (I'm assuming the owner) went above and beyond! I really liked the little gifts they had in there. Passed this happy looking place and decided to swing around and stop in. I am so glad I did. Beautiful perennials, annuals, succulents, even a gift shop. It's is a feast for the eyes and the best kind sensory overload if you are plant crazy!! I spoke with an older woman who was very helpful, the staff is friendly too, she even cleaned off my credit card for me after the transaction. I didn't make my way into all the nooks and crannies so I'll have to go back. I suggest you check it out. read more

I ordered Yellow roses for my wife for Valentines Day, they Delivered on Friday as expected. Her roses were dingy brown along the edges of several of the rose pedals looking not fresh at all. I got a private message on Facebook, stating 'Just take off the brown edges" WOW, Also told they could send more flowers....Do I really want more old flowers? Love, love, love this florist!!! I stopped quickly to get a bouquet on my way to a retirement dinner, hoping that they would be able to put something together quickly. The woman working, who I think may have been the owner, said she efinitely help me. She asked if i had any color or flower preferences, I told her I didnt, and just wanted something pretty for about $50. A few minutes later, she had put together an enormous, beautiful bouquet. It was one of the nicest arrangments Ive ever seen. Great colors, superb flower quality. Then, she meticulously wrapped them, making sure they'd stay safe and have water for the car ride. Within the wrapping was a brightly colored piece of tissue paper accenting the bouquet color. She then used a contrating blue ribbon to tie everything up. I was really really happy with the purchase. The store is also really cute with lots of gift items. The flowers/plants/bushes out front looked great too, but i didnt have much time to browse. What an absolute gem of a local business. I am so happy I went to The Root System to purchase a corsage and boutonnière for my son's high school prom. The corsage was nothing short of AMAZING!!!! Not only did it compliment the dress but also the girls personality. I also requested a matching boutonnière which was equally as nice. When we went to take pictures of the kids all the parents where complimenting the corsage and boutonniere on how nice they looked and loved the choice of flowers which were used, tiny orchids. Called at 10 am for a bouquet of colorful flowers for a mentor to be ready at 2 pm with a budget and the arrangement has simply stunning. I called in a panic and Julie (owner) was calm, pleasant and made me feel she would take care of everything. And she did! I had the most beautiful flowers for our service and reception. The Root System provided the flowers for my grandfather's recent funeral. The funeral took place the day after Christmas and the root system delivered the flowers at 7 AM, which means they worked on Christmas to prepare the arrangements. I was incredibly grateful for their professional work at such a busy time of year. Dealing with a funeral this time of year is not easy, but Julie at The Root System went out of her way to make it easier on us. Thank you Julie and Root System for being phenomenal. My fiance (at the time) and I were massively fretting about how to make our January wedding beautiful and elegant without breaking the bank. Julie understood our plight. She was the perfect hand to hold through this process. She guided the decision making, had creative and elegant and reasonably priced options. Their delivery team was professional and her recommendations were well seasoned (for example how to wrap the bouquet to make it last through the day). When we talk about the "support local" movement, we are talking about Julie and the Root System! She is helping us make our communities look beautiful without emptying our bank accounts. Now I have to look for ways to keep Root System in my life! They are great for the small bouquet on a special occasion or for the big event (like a wedding or funeral). Stumbled upon The Root System while trying to purchase a Christmas tree for our office a few years back. They're a bit pricier than other places around, but the selection was perfect. I absolutely adore the building and how it's decorated inside and out. Rustic and very cute! They have chocolate for sale which was surprisingly very good and candles as well. I'd return for the chocolate alone! Although I've never purchased flowers here, their selection looked fresh and they had some beautiful/unique ones in their fridge. read more

I received a flower arrangement as a thank you gift. I was very disappointed because it was very boring, all white with no color at all! I called The Root System and spoke with the owner explaining that I was unhappy with the flowers I received. I said that in the month of May with all the beautiful bright colors, my flowers are not pretty at all! The sender wanted me to receive a lovely thank you gift and these flowers were anything but...The owner said she would have to call the sender of the gift before she could do anything. I said I would not want to insult the gift giver and with that, she said but you'll insult me and hung up the phone! How incredibly unprofessional!! I have my own business and have previously purchased my Christmas tree, office gifts, etc. from The Root System. After the way I was treated, I will never order from them again and I encourage others not to waste their money!!! read more
