The opposing counsel had arrived there a little early, so Ari then initiated a pre-hearing discussion with her to see if some kind of settlement could be worked out. Alex gave me a call just a few hours later that evening, the office sent me an engagement letter the next day, I was going over my contract with Laura later that same week. Of course I reviewed the contracts myself, however I don't know what I don't know. On our phone appointment, Laura walked me through every paragraph to make sure I understood it all correctly and made sure to add in what I needed before sending a drafted revision. By the end, I was comfortable with what we drafted and I signed the contracts. I recently worked with her again, and the process was seamless. I had a very last minute opportunity and needed the contract reviewed quickly. I actually forgot to send her a copy of the contract ahead of time and sent it in minutes before our phone appointment.
