Megan was so great teaching and guiding the class! She made a daunting task very doable for the inexperienced. We used tools like a nail gun and an electric drill so it was nice having her be so patient and teach us a very safe way of handling the tools. This is a great place for a group to spend some bonding time!

Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of this concept in general. Typically I don't like creating or buying items that are solely for decorative purposes and serve no other purpose. One could say that the serving trays are useful (the only useful option provided) but they're also the most expensive thing on the menu. Just off 610 and Westpark, in the same parking lot as Home Depot and Subway right across the street from Houston Community College. This is a busy traffic location with a lot of parking overall, but not many spaces immediately next to the Rustic Brush. About 20 people were registered on the night I went, with 3 workers helping direct us. The whole project took us a total of 5 hours - we were present from 7pm to 12am. One of the employees started pressuring us to finish quicker around 10:30 as if it were our fault that the whole process was taking so long. Personally, I feel as though getting this thing that we've paid money to create right is more important than leaving 30 minutes early. The process is this: You're presented with a set of boards, and a stencil of sorts. The stencil is printed according to your instructions at the time of purchase - if you do not like the way the stencil turned out you will have to pay an additional $5 to get it reprinted. If you want a custom design, then you'll have to pay an additional $10 from the beginning. As if it's not expensive enough from the get-go. Then, you must sand all your wooden pieces. The larger your product, the more sanding you'll have to do. Afterwards, you'll have to stain the wood (3 color choices) then nail them together. (This part is awfully loud since the place is a closed space). Then you place your stencil over the wooden board you've created and paint in your desired color with this dappling sponge thing. Afterwards there's a lot of drying by some fans and putting on finishing touches. The hanging items must have holes drilled in them afterwards which creates splintering.

I had my birthday party here with 9 friends in attendance and everything was wonderful! Megan was great at communicating details for my event and was so laid back and helpful the entire time. She also shared a few laughs with us as we chatted and learned how to put the trays together - yes, we all made a tray they came out beautifully. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience here. We will be back!

Did I mention they serve French press coffee!! The variety and portions were perfect for us. We will dine here again.

Evan Smith number one (1) came over to my table when no one paid any attention to us and full fill our every need. Loved the service and personality of Evan was.

Another wonderful time celebrating my birthday with family with a fun project. I did the tray for over stove top. Family has come here numerous times and owner is awesome. You need no talent. She guides you through everything. We bring wines & snacks then hit Boudreaux's Cajun Kitchen next door for dinner.

Best time ever! My project looks waaaay better than I thought it would! I had lots of help with color mixing and getting it just right. The building of the actual boards was very stress relieving I'll def be back with more friends. AND the most awesome 80's mix I've ever heard. Every song perfect Everyone was very nice and helpful and encouraging even when I didn't think mine was coming out right.

We had such a great time for a girls day Sunday! We painted 2 door hangers and the leader was so helpful and fun! We love it's BYOB and such a fun afternoon outing!

Last night we had a company gathering and the Rustic Brush, at the Galleria location, we had the best time ever! We all did the door hanger, I thought it was gonna be smaller but turned out to be a great size. I have to say Thank you so much to Lucia at the galleria location for all the help, the best customer service, Lucia was so kind, patient, friendly, relatable. Honestly Lucía made our company experience the best experience! We were a very festive and loud group of people! We loved our door hangers, will definitely recommend you guys and will comeback for other projects!

Phenomenal experience! My husband and I had an excellent time creating a welcome planter pot and centerpiece. It seems we were the only 2 that booked for the workshop that day & so we were blessed to have the venue to ourselves which was really nice. We were guided through each and every step with patience and kindness which was awesome as we had never done anything like it before. We preselected the projects we choose to do when booking the reservation. When we arrived all the products/tools were all ready & laid out for us. We started off sanding wood, then went on to painting/staining the wood. Next, we applied artwork and lastly assembled. A total of about 3.5 hours and never felt rushed! The host and the owner were extremely friendly and helpful! They even welcomed BYOB/snacks/food for when your craft's paint is drying. This activity is a bit pricey but totally worth it! In comparison to a paint and sip, with this craft workshop you actually create useful things which is what sold me. I recommend this activity, you won't regret it! We are very pleased with out crafts and can't wait to incorporate them into our home.

I had the best time at Rustic Brush! This is the second annual girls night and it was a success!! We always have a great time and end up with awesome artwork! Linsey was especially amazing! Strongly recommend. Leave the boys and cats at home. *wink*

I accidentally scheduled for a morning session and put an afternoon time in my calendar. When I realized it, I was so disappointed. I called, and the representative I talked to was so kind and told us to go ahead and come as we were a small party. Even though they were sold out, they fit us in. The instructions to get there were a bit confusing because the store they used as a reference on the website was no longer there. However, we were grateful for parking and floor instructions. The experience was geared towards younger kids, so my 12 year-old wasn't super entertained. But she did say it was a nice experience for our little. Nothing a good sushi dinner afterwards couldn't make up for. The activities were great. My little was so excited and the wonder in her eyes was priceless. It was a bit warm in there, so that would be feedback for making it comfortable for patrons. And it looked like there was once a working photo opportunity at the end. I appreciate the representative that took photos for us with our phone. Overall, I think it was a great experience. I paid a lower price for planning ahead (even though I got the time wrong). I like the concept!

Bluey camp I bought this as an Eid gift for my children. We…read moreare definitely a bluey household. My daughter had a bluey themed birthday party just about a month earlier, and most of her clothes are adorned with bluey and bingo. So when I saw that this camp was in town, I knew we had to make it. First things first, which is that we spent just a couple of dollars short shy of $200 for our family of 7 (baby was free so we only bought 6 tickets). At least they didn't charge for the baby, although I'm always annoyed when things like this charge for adults. The check in process was easy and the girl who gave us the tour going in (Sophia) was fun and easy going. You pretty much explore the house for 50 minutes, before you actually are able to meet bingo and bluey. So you're essentially killing time for about an hour. When we came in, they played keepy uppy and had a little dance party later and coloring sheets. It was essentially what I did at my daughter's birthday party, but with strangers. I do wish they had more fun things going on. They definitely could have incorporated more. Because giving kids coloring shades seem like a cop out... That could have been something to just give the kids before they left. Having a dance party and playing keepy uppy is nice, but I felt like the people working there could have done more things or had more fun. A few of the people seem to stay "in character", but some were just doing their job. The house had details from the show, but it also could use a good cleaning and update some of the things. Almost an hour of that seemed to have lulls. I didn't mind it too much because I started feeding my baby, but I can see how just following your kid around in a house would get tiring when they want to see their favorite characters. We finally got to meet bluey and bingo and the person in that room was great about taking our pictures. They informed us that taking the pictures with them would be $15, so we opted to just take pictures on our phone. Whe we were leaving, they had Johnny pops Popsicles in a freezer and I was going to get six of them for our family and they informed me that they are only for kids, even though they charged for the adults. So that was a bummer, but also unnecessary. I asked for one for my younger daughter, and girl at the counter laughed, and I said I was serious. The girl at the counter literally would not give me a popsicle for my other daughter who had to go to the restroom, and waited for her to come back from the restroom just to hand her a popsicle. It left a sour taste in my mouth even though it was not sherbert (get it? Bluey reference). We spent almost $200 and could not have been given less than $8 worth of Popsicles. Ridiculous. Other than that girl with black hair and glasses, everyone else over there is going to be helpful and nice, and it was a fun experience for my children.

Living Downtown comes with unique advantages and occasional inconveniences. If someone can't tolerate city life, they may be happier living in the suburb provinces. Thumbs Down: Access to the rooftop is sometimes restricted during seasonal events and special art installations. I understand the need for ticketed events, but I wish general access to the public spaces could remain available whenever practical. Thumbs Down: I am able-bodied, but I couldn't help noticing that rooftop access appears difficult for visitors who use wheelchairs or have mobility impairments. The elevators are not easy to locate, and several were out of service during my many visits. Improving accessibility would make this space more welcoming for everyone.
