The peanut butter Nanaimo bar bar was good but the peanut butter taste overpowered and it didn't taste like a nanimo. But seperate the layers and you could tell. Great creamy centre. The cappachino pecan caramel square was amazing. No coffee taste at all but it was gooey and soft and rich. The best. The toffee almond bar was a bit too hard for me and lacked strong flavor. Guy behind the counter made me feel a bit rushed but understandable as there was a line. Cost as as expected for fancy desserts. I'd love to stop by again and see if they have anything new!

Wish there was a few designated stalls for this bakery. Clean store. No dine-in. Lots of items were already sold out but they did still have a good selection. Cashier was very friendly. I tried the blueberry and apple butterscotch scones. Blueberry was 10/10. So moist, soft, and cake-like. Apple one was very bland, could not taste the apple or butterscotch. So happy prices and sign and legible and accurate. If I am ever back in the area I would love to try their Chia Sunflower Flax Sourdough bread and the Cheese bread!

We also tried a garlic stick for around $1 and it was surprisingly tender and VERY fresh! Not too garlicky for the kids, but we enjoyed it so much I should have bought more. The staff is so very friendly and make sure you know they really appreciate your business! i was supposed to order bread and treats from The Tasty Bakery on Saturday, as I was coming to Red Deer today from two hours away, but I forgot! I called the store this morning hoping there might be some treats available for me to put aside. The owner Don (such a nice guy) answered the phone and asked what I would like. I told him my order and he did say he didn't have all that I wanted but would do his best! Well, I got to the store just after noon and was grateful he had put aside what he had! I paid and set off for my two hour drive home. I got home and opened the bags and there was EXACTLY what I had ordered! I don't know if he found he had more than he thought or baked extra just for me but I was so surprised and pleased! I don't know why anyone would buy their baked goods anywhere else!
