The vehicle is thoughtfully and beautifully designed and maintained with the traveler's comfort and safety as the forefront in their priorities. It was a comfortable, stylish, functional vehicle and definitely enhanced our road trip experience. From start to finish, altCamp's does a thorough and detailed job of guiding you through the entire process. On the day of our camper van pick up, we met with Adam, the owner. He is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and detailed in walking us through all of the functions and amenities of the vehicle to make sure we understood how everything worked and that we were comfortable with everything. He also provided his contact information in case we needed to reach him during our trip if we had any questions or concerns. Here are some of the highlights for the altCamp's Loft camper worth noting from us- * The performance of the vehicle itself is got a lot of power, great steering, and although you were in a sprinter van, it does not feel big at all. Zero issues with parking the vehicle in a standard parking lot space. * The layout of the interior is strategically designed with beautiful craftsmanship throughout. We were pleasantly surprised by the multiple storage areas and cubbies that made it helpful to be able to pack and bring along with us to have some comforts of home within the camper van. * The bed is incredibly comfortable, and after a long day of adventure, it really did give us a great night's sleep, and helped us to recharge for the next day. * We appreciated the very smart and thoughtful design of the sink and table top area. The stovetop heated up surprisingly fast and allowed us cook and boil water within minutes. The refrigerator and the freezer was very generously sized and we were able to fit a lot of food and drinks in there. * Both the front and back seats were very comfortable when on the road. We were able to configure and move the back seats to give us more space, and swiveling the front seats allowed us to face each other and spend time with each other. * We loved the sound system. There was absolutely no road noise coming into the vehicle, and we were able to enjoy crystal clear sounds, which makes for much more road tripping driving experience. * The vehicle is incredibly insulated, and although it was chilly at night, we found that we didn't even have to turn the heater on. * There is a tent on the top of the vehicle, and it takes seconds to put up and dismantle. * There is a small hose attachment in the back that allowed us to rinse off in the evenings. * There are ample lighting options, both inside the vehicle and outside of the vehicle. We loved the memories we made on this trip- playing cards, making chili spaghetti and hot dogs for meals, star gazing, enjoying the sound system, and just unplugging and spending quality time with the family. altCamp gave our family a great experience and we can't wait to get back on the road again soon with one of their vehicles.

Generator would only work in small spurts, so there was no back up a/c available while traveling. Fridge never got cold, had to keep ice in it to keep food cold. When I reach out no one returns a phone call. Now they've had my deposit for over a week and no one answers the phone or calls me back. Don't risk your family's vacation to these people! Bait and switch, horrible customer service.

We booked a RV (#C15 Luxury Sunseeker) through RVFunRental (*RFR) on the RVShare site on 3/31--for travel 7/10-7/18. The RV we booked sleeps 10--with bunk beds, modern décor, and new amenities. On Monday, 7/6, 4 days before our trip--*RFR cancelled our RV booking, and sent a message through the RVShare app. *RFR indicated that our RV was damaged due to gas found in the water system--and offered a subpar alternative replacement--with fewer specs, less sleeping spots (sleeps only 8), and less modern décor & amenities. We declined the alternative RV--and called *RFR to speak with Matt, and GM Miguel. Later, we found *many* negative reviews for *RFR --many posted in June--after our March booking. We requested *RFR to correct their error--and offer an equivalent swap, or RV with more specs at their cost. This is standard expectation and professional customer service--for listing a damaged and dangerous vehicle for rent. Craziest part: *RFR is still actively listing the same damaged #C15 unit on RVShare's website!! *RFR is still accepting bookings for an RV they acknowledge is damaged, unsafe, and has gas in the water reserve. From the swap options, we chose a new RV (#C19) with fewer specs and slept fewer people. Miguel assured me that *RFR would do a clean swap and absorb any extra costs--to replace my damaged RV. GM Miguel then asked me to cancel my original 3/31/26 #C15 reservation through RVShare--and rebook directly through them. I refused this shady request. *RFR wanted me to create a paper trail where I initiate the RV cancellation--resulting in cancellation-fees on my end. When I refused to initiate the cancellation, Miguel/Matt/*RFR stopped answering their phone and never ever called me back since. I sent messages in the RVShare app--requesting follow-up and confirmation for my new #C19 RV replacement. After several hours of nonresponsive calls/texts, I began receiving brief, confusing, and uninformative screenshots in the RVShare app of my replacement RV--along with email confirmations that the new #C19 vehicle had replaced my reservation. *RFR instructed me to accept the new reservation in the app--however, the new booking had increased fees. When asked about the extra fees--that Miguel already agreed to cover, nobody responded to me in the app, and ignored all calls to explain and provide clarity. The next day, *RFR sent another app message--saying the #C19 vehicle had been rented, since I didn't accept the new booking (with unexplained added costs they promised I wouldn't incur). This is also a lie; the #C19 vehicle is still actively listed on RVShare for my exact travel dates. RVShare has since refunded my money--and my family scrambled to book another RV. Summary: 1) *RFR rented a damaged and unsafe #C15 vehicle that they knew had gas-contaminated water from a previous complaint. 2) *RFR bait-and-switch-cancelled my original booking with a subpar replacement. 3) *RFR wanted me to initiate a cancellation directly through RVShare and rebook through them instead (to create a false paper trail that I was cancelling my RV booking). 3) *RFR promised to correct their error and replace my RV with an equivalent vehicle with no added cost--when they in fact tried to get me to accept a new booking at additional/unexplained fees/charges. 4) *RFR cancelled the 2nd vehicle offered to me--claiming it was no longer available, when #C19 is still populating in RVShare listings. 5) *RFR stopped answering my calls/texts, and did not address their shady tactics in the RVShare messaging app. 5) The original damaged/unsafe #C15 with the gas-in-water tank problem is still actively listed by *RFR on the RVShare site! 6) *RFR has many recent negative reviews from May-June (posted after our March booking) for similar bait-and-switch tactics and nonresponsive, unprofessional customer service. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH *RFR. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR TRIP.

She took the time to show us around the lot and walk us through the different vans available. Each one looked to be in excellent condition, especially considering their age and use as rentals. It's clear they take great care of their fleet. After hearing horror stories about other van rental companies--poorly maintained vehicles, withheld deposits, rude service--we felt totally at ease here. So we booked our first rental, *Albie*, for a quick weekend trip to San Mateo (May 16-18). Bill gave me a quick, no-nonsense rundown of the van's operation. His confidence in the simplicity of the vehicle and in me as a driver was refreshing. His attitude was basically: "You'll have a blast--go enjoy it!" And we did. Albie, a 70s VW van with a smooth 4-speed manual, drove like a charm. Yes, it had that classic steering play like you'd expect from an old-school vehicle, but it was part of the fun and easy to adjust to. At the campground, everything worked as expected--no issues or surprises. The van was fully stocked with essentials: cookware, a flashlight, dish soap, and more. We brought our own since we're local, but it was great to know it was all there without any nickel-and-diming. Bill even added a bike rack for us for a small, totally reasonable fee. Returning the van was a breeze. Bill did a quick, low-key inspection and genuinely seemed more interested in hearing how our trip went than scrutinizing the vehicle. Bill was great to work with in setting up a date/time for the work to be done. As it turns out the standpipe work was done under a recall and we only had the electrical problem remaining. Bill reached out to make sure we had done some basic troubleshooting, just in case we could solve the problem over the phone rather than make the long drive up from San Diego. After reviewing the Peace Vans material for our unit, we discovered a variance in a setting and solved the problem. Bill's encouragement to just review simple things meant no wasted time for us or for his busy technicians. We appreciate his willingness to take on helping us and his can-do attitude!

I wish I had been told prior to driving there about the condition of the tent. At first sight, the tent is very beat up at best. The top part has to be held by tie downs in order to hold with the bottom part. The latches don't work at the front. The top also had a huge dent and finally, the tent had a hole as seen in picture. I was told by Adam the tent was fully cleaned but we found trash inside. Some floss, gum wrapped in paper and some chapstick. This is a side business from his automotive main business so there was a long wait for the install and removal of the tent. It definitely served its purpose but definitely not worth the price.

I took up his time like crazy asking all kinds of questions day after day and no matter how much I called at inopportune times he would always answer with a positive attitude and give me the low down on any questions and concerns. He even called me to say that he had put the van aside for me and that people were interested and wanted to offer the van to me first. I couldn't miss out so I finally booked. What a guy. Picking up the Van was great and easy. I showed up and Todd wasn't there but Tom is there working hard to make everything work and polish all the details on the cleaning. He takes the time for the tour, gives tips, friendly and helpful in every way even under the immense heat and more obnoxious loads of questions. On the road: I never had an issue but if i had some concerns or forgot how to work something, Todd would always answer or call back shortly after. I felt safe knowing that the Van is very well maintained and that I had someone REALLY there if I needed it. The Pleasure Way Vans that are available are top of the line comfort for these camper vans, and it was really enjoyable to travel in it. We did 3500 miles and did amazing things and stayed at amazing places. All this trip wouldn't of been as special without our home on wheels.
