Treasures from heaven available on earth ~ This place is special to me for several reasons. Let me begin with Jack & Rose the owners. I took my wedding rings off in their restroom because they had so many great soaps, scrubs & lotions and I guess I must have lost my mind a little surrounded by so much beauty because I left without my jewelry (this has never happened to me before) It wasn't until hours later & miles away that I discovered that my rings were missing. I panicked and called the store. Jack answered and simply said, I've been waiting for your call and we have your rings. I cried all the way back with my happy relief. A nice woman found them and turned them in. Thank you to her and everyone's honesty. I'll forever be grateful. Onto this amazing space...there aren't enough beautiful words to describe it adequately. It's truly a paradise and feels like you've been transported to somewhere in Bali or the coast of Malaysia. It's stunning. I find myself happier the moment I step through the front door. There's a beautiful garden you can relax in and get centered. Enjoy some complimentary tea from one of the many seating areas surrounded by lush plants, flowers, koi ponds and just get lost in the moment. Walk around the entire property because every corner is special and beautiful. There are so many treasures you can also take home with you from garden art, jewelry, soaps & lotions, furnishings, ritual items, art of all kind and wonderful gifts. On my first trip my mom bought me a handmade and delicate piece of art that reads ~ You are loved. I cherish it and it hangs in my bedroom. On my second visit I purchased myself an all white dream catcher. Rose packages everything you purchase in gorgeous one of a kind gift bags and she collects all these beautiful items from all around the world. It is worth it to check out just for the decor alone, especially the back bungalows to meditate and practice mindfulness in. I first saw this place looking on Trip Advisor. We were visiting Santa Barbara for a few days and was looking for place to go with two teenagers. After seeing all the photos on Yelp and Trip Advisor i knew this was a place to bring them since they love taking photos. The Sacred Space is just outside of Santa Barbara in Sumerland. Very small parking lot, might have to park on the streets. When you go make sure you have some time to look around the store. It's a n amazing store with all kinds of crystals, jewelry, oils, etc. once you have taken in everything in the store, you must spend sometime out in the gardens. A hidden gem in Santa Barbara! I saw it driving by and wanted to see what was inside? And I'm so glad I did! Upon entering my family was kindly greeted by a very nice lady who was the owner and she offered us some complimentary delicious sweet berry tasting hot tea. And offered to let us sit out in the beautiful outdoor zen garden. There's Buddha, Hindu, Tibetan, statues everywhere which makes this place so unique, and the flowing water in the zen garden helps you relax and makes you feel like you're in a tropical jungle. If you visit Santa Barbara, you must visit this tranquil place. It's more than just a shop, it's a magical, spiritual place where you are welcomed with kindness, compassion, and warmth that also offers lectures and classes to self growth. I've been to The Sacred Space twice now and the welcome greeting makes the experience that much more special. And when you leave, you feel like a new person! I've traveled the country visiting metaphysical and mindfulness stores, this was by far was the best! The owners and daughter were present greeting customers and offering hospitality. The grounds and products are truly sacred, serene, and cultivate a sense of true peace. I relaxed by the pond, reading material left in the sitting areas and perused the immense array of treasures with in the store. I added a lovely diamond shaped crystal and magnetite to my collection. My fiancé and I have always loved to visit the Sacred Space and have come several times just to enjoy the ambiance and to purchase beautiful trinkets and candles. We thought that it would be wonderful to share this experience with our kids. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the lovely owner, Rose, who graciously offered hot tea of our choosing. I selected a tea called "Love". It was soothing with a hint of sweet. I perused around the boutique looking for spiritual goodies to purchase while my family went outside to enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful koi pond and gazebo. This is a beautiful place. My husband and I come here for years as a rejuvenating date from time-to-time, (sometimes with our children now that our youngest is older.) We bring our journals and sit and answer the inquisitive question cards that are often in the outdoor meditation cabanas. These sitting areas are surrounded by ponds and gentle waterfalls, plus tropical foliage making the setting quite serene and healing. Pick your times wisely and observe the crowd. I only gave the Sacred Space a barely 4 stars because the last few times we have come, the employees needed to crack down on obnoxious and rowdy behaviors of patrons and excessive cellphone use. I understand the Sacred Space to be a place of brief mediation retreat and great shop for adding healing crystals and the like to one's home. It is not a place where someone chews out their ex on the phone loudly for everyone to hear, and toddlers to run around unattended, as well as seeing young people take coins from the sacred statues while taking selfies. Our last 2 visits were frustrating. I'm having to encourage my spirit to go back. I want to give this place another shot because I know they are good people. The business could just have better boundaries when dealing with inappropriate clientele. read more

When I first walked into this place, I was all like "oh, what a nice little shop. Oh look, there's another little room back here. Oh look, there's another one back here. Oh, seriously? There's another one back here. Wait. Huh. Wtf! There's another one? How big is this place?!" I've been to The Sacred Space about 4x now and I think I found the last room. They offer free tea that they give to you outside near their awesome gazebo's built good enough for Buddha himself, sweet ponds and small waterfalls. They did an amazing job with this place and you won't be able to walk out of here without looking like some kind of crystallographer, geologist or a hippy/new-ageist gone rogue. There are rumors (though not confirmed by me personally) that the owner is the polar opposite of the stores vibe, but that hasn't been felt or seen by myself as of yet so I'm not really looking for it either. This place is Awesome!!! It is like taking a journey to tranquil land. They have crystals, candle holders, oils, statues, purses, bells, singing bowls, and much more. The prices are a bit steep for me, but I still buy some pieces. They also have little sheets with the stones descriptions that you can take. They are printed in cute little fancy paper. Upon the end of the store, you can enter the garden area. There are plenty of greeneries, seats, statues, and "gazebos." I feel like I can stay there for ever!! Love it! read more

The Sacred Space is truly special. When you walk in, the room is filled with an array of lovely treasures grouped together in luscious color palettes. As if there wasn't enough to take in, there are many smaller rooms to wander through that are just as appealing with their gorgeous displays. The little descriptive cards are adorable and contain wildflower seeds, so you can plant them. So charming! The gardens are soothing to the soul and after you've marveled over the beauty of everything, you can take the friendly owners up on their generous offer of tea and enjoy it in one of the comfortable outdoor nooks while you contemplate the meaning of life. I really wanted to like this place. I really did. But I felt followed and judged the entire time as if they think I was going to steal. And no, I am not projecting, it's perception. Speaking of which, they're crazy to charge so much for their products. It's absolutely ridiculous. Visited this lovely place for the first time last week. I can't believe how we've missed it as we go to Santa Barbara a number of times during the year. We're in Thousand Oaks so this is a great shop to visit on the way to the central coast. The shop is filled with beautiful gifts, mementos and decor. The outdoor is also something else, its filled with lounging areas, water features, exotic wood and bamboo furniture, all sizes of clay jars, and other beautiful pieces. Really fun place to spend some time looking around. This is one of those places that just has to be seen to be appreciated. There is literally something in every corner of each room and while that sounds cluttery and overwhelming (it can be) it is really a weird sort of serene. Lots of crystals, plants and candles and the garden areas are really peaceful and beautiful. If you're a tourist looking for a remembrance of your trip to Summerland/SB to take home, there's jewelry, home items or even beautiful statuary for your home or garden. None of it is unique to SB of course, but the space is unique, that's for sure. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is that the prices are a bit high. For example, a candle from a popular candle line was about $6 more than anywhere else in town or from the brand's own website. This was one of the most beautiful and calming places I have ever been to. The garden was breathtaking and had little paths that took you to benches where you could relax in. The people here are extremely kind the pagoda in the back and beautiful scenery with Buddha is everywhere they serve you beautiful tea and you can kick back in the pagoda and sign this amazing book we can leave your thoughts for other people to digest. I had my first experience at the Sacred Space on Sunday and it was BETTER THAN EXPECTED! The grounds are beautiful and the store provided a unique shopping experience. I was a bit overwhelmed by the selection but the lovely girl who helped me (Traci) was so knowledgeable and intuitive in assisting me with what to purchase. After I shopped she offered me tea on a beautiful tray and led to me their gardens which are breathtaking. The place is great but the service is even better!
