I asked the waiter what the ingredients were in the satay sauce for their skewers and she said, "I don't know, the cook who makes them went home. Sorry!" And then looked at me with a puzzled face as if she didn't understand that people may have allergies to the glyphosate ridden soy sauce, oyster sauce and hoisin saucin the food! DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY PHO! For a matter a fact don't go for any of the soup! I am not one of those people that nit pick at every mistake, but this place really blew this one of the park. 2 VISITS 3 bowls of PHO all had hair in it. And 2 of those bowls were replacement bowls This shows POOR MANAGEMENT. This place does not teach costumer service! NONE Whatsoever. When we spoke to management about the service she simply said SORRY. I don't need a sorry I need a solution. My word of advice is simply don't go here. Yum! Did I mention yum? Yep, I said yum! This is my favorite Vietnamese place ever and I have been going for years (ok, maybe over a decade, but I wouldn't want to age myself). The food is amazing! The goi cuon (salad rolls) are good and the cha gio (crispy spring rolls wrapped in lettuce) are out of this world! But my favorite is the bun thit nuong (vermicelli noodle bowl with pork) and would make this a last meal if it ever came to that. Their made from scratch fish sauce has magic in it! When I drive through this city on my way to or from the States I am stopping, doesn't matter what time of day. This food is what dreams are made of. They don't get a full five stars because the service is sporadic, apathetic, unfriendly and slow... They also have awful beer and wine selections. Just great food. read more

An annual tradition at my work that we take bosses out for lunch and we usually come here. Everyone seems to migrate to the Charbroiled Pork dishes but being a seafood eating vegetarian I went with '93'. A shrimp and spring roll dish. I went with steamed rice instead of rice vermicelli. The spring rolls came and might have had meat in them but I tried them anyway (3.5/5) but might regret that choice later. The shrimp was a bit dry (2.5/5) but the fish sauce helped them out. read more

I have eaten pho in several different places across the United States and here in Alberta, and I can easily say by far that is the absolute worst Vietnamese food that I have ever had. The first impression is the best as the place is run down, dirty, dusty, a miserable excuse of a restaurant. The fresh spring rolls were terrible. It took 45 minutes to get them. My meal came out with hair in it and was poorly made. When I told the waitress she asked me if I was sure that it wasn't lemongrass. Very insulting as I know what hair looks like. I give it one star as they took my meal off the check. This was very disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and got to Medicine Hat for good pho. read more

This wasn't just the worst Vietnamese restaurant I've experienced but also the worst food in general. It took close to 10 minutes to be acknowledged by anyone who worked there and longer to be seated. Tables were available. The server slapped down menus and two glasses of water, never asking if we'd like to order another beverage or appetizer. Eventually the server took our order. Roughly 45 minutes passed before the meal arrived. And it arrived cold. The meal consisted of roughly chopped iceberg lettuce, rice noodles and more rice noodles, cabbage, bean sprouts, canned whole tomatoes, and maybe two ounces of protein combined in both dishes. It was generally inedible and the server reappeared only long enough to place the bill on the table and ask if we wanted to go boxes. No, no we did not. read more

My go-to standard for Vietnamese in Lethbridge. Good portions, great prices, and the best spring rolls in town. The service is not the friendliest, but always prompt and they have never gotten my order wrong. There are a few items on the menu that are chronically out of stock, but with a menu the size of theirs, that's not too surprising. The appetizers (excepting the spring and salad rolls) are pricy for small portions, so skip those and head straight to the entrees. read more

Made an order for pick up. Told me 20 minutes before it was ready, took my name and number so they could call when it was ready. Decided to head over after 35 minutes and zero contact. Got there (now 45 minutes after placing the order) and the meal hadn't even started preparation. Waited an other 20 minutes got the food. Opened it when I got home to find that the order was wrong, and seemingly purposely burnt. Everything, and I mean everything was burned. I'll be using Thuan Ho from now on. read more

Pretty good vietnamese food. The curry chicken soup is the standout. Service is pretty bad here though.
