Since then, she has had 4 different locations and I am still loyal to her as ever. I cannot say anything negative about this amazing woman. She is an incredible esthetician with lots of knowledge and skills. I have gotten facials since I was 14 and she is the best esthetician I have had the pleasure of meeting. When I first saw her, I had moderate cystic-like acne and active acne with multiple breakouts per month. Just after few months of treatment (1-2x a month facials), my acne was less severe, scars were less noticeable, and I started breaking out less. Fast forward 2 years, I started getting compliments on my complexion from strangers. Now, I break out only when I eat certain foods (milk chocolate, french fries, pizza) or around my period. So ever since then, I have been on her appointment book once a month for the past 4 years. Wow. That's crazy but I am so thankful that I have found Dagmar! Her prices are very fair as well. She is also known for eyelash extensions, reiki (energy healing - has done a lot of incredible work on me!), and electrolysis. She is always booked out weeks so make sure you make an appointment right after you're finished with your session. Not only is she an incredible esthetician but she is also an AMAZING person; I can't describe it, you have to meet her and see for yourself. She has a HUGE heart and is such an empathetic, sympathetic, compassionate, understanding, wholesome person. She pretty much knows my whole life story lol so she is like my family. Last Christmas I even gave her a gift - that's how much she means to me! I've even seen her teenage son grow like 6+ inches within the past few years because I literally have been seeing her every month for the past 4 years (wasn't kidding about this!). I can honestly say that Dagmar is definitely an important person in my life and I am so glad that I have met her - she has made a positive influence in my life both aesthetically and spiritually. I have had around 50 total hours of electrolysis on those areas; which have been worked on by a handful of electrologists all along Puget Sound. When I saw my other electrologists, I would always leave those appointments with super red, inflamed, sometimes burned, blistered, scabbed over skin. Not to mention, the treatments themselves were painful because insertion of the needle was done incorrectly. My skincare routine following those appointments consisted of Neosporin all over my face, everyday, for upwards of a week until the treated areas healed. Unsightly to say the least. Dagmar is undoubtedly the best. The fact that I feel no pain during treatment and very mild redness afterwards speaks for itself. Her aesthetics background further validates why I feel so comfortable getting treated by her. After 3+ months of treatment, still can't believe how happy my skin is during/after electrolysis at Melange Spa. If you are looking for an electrologist, take my word for it and go see Dagmar. She is incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of beauty treatments - and she kindly lets me pick her brain about it all! Not to mention her beautifully decorated, relaxing studio. The whole time I was filling out the form I was hoping she wasn't the one doing my lashes. Unfortunately she was. She showed me to the bed, asked me to lay down. Asked me if I'd had my lashes done before, I responded, I have. I told her how I would like them. She said okay, then the only time she said a word was when I asked a question. I felt like she should say okay, putting this on now. But maybe you guys like more of a quiet atmosphere, which if fair. It's nice though to hear what's going on your face. Again she wasn't mean, she just wasn't friendly, inviting, warm. Overall experience was that it just didn't have the feel I like when getting my lashes done. I want warm, relaxing, professional, luxury. I want to feel happy, invited. At one point I was thinking, did I maybe upset her. It was just uncomfortable. The whole time with my eyes closed I was thinking I don't like this. There were moments she was hurting me, it happens, it's ok, you know a little lash pull here and there the norm, but she didn't say a word when I would wince. Not, oh sorry, oh are you okay? Silence. Dead silent. Then at the end I guess some glue was on my eyelid and she was trying to pick it off, I couldn't tell at the moment, as I'm laying there with my eyes shut. It hurt as she was trying to get it off, I winced, she said Nothing, she gave up, had me sit up, wipe my own eyes with a cloth, which I found weird. Then said oh there's glue on your lid, it will come off later. I said ok. (I've never experience that at a spa before) It's not a small amount of money for a tint and lift. (Her usual initial price is high, but fills are much cheaper. Spend the money.) I drove all the way from Surrey to Abbotsford to try her lashes, and I LOVE them! I don't mind driving all the way back for fills every 3-4 weeks :) I'd had my lashes done at Noir Lash Lounge before, and they looked nice, but if you accidently rubbed your eye or slept on your side, they would stab you in the eye. And they didn't last nearly as long. Lesson learned : Spend the money and get them done right! They look and feel way nicer, and last longer! (AND I don't have to sleep on my back with the fear of having my eyes poked.)

Jaclyns' naturally soft and gentle demeanour makes any trip to her office very comfortable and relaxing (a gem in this crazy fast paced world) yet she's extremely knowledgeable and powerful in her work (I later learned that art work shown on studio website are her own but just another testament of the craftsmanship and attention to detail she possesses). Her price point is excellent and very competitive. I had done my homework on higher end boutiques, even in my new city (sometimes I think the more expensive something is the better quality it will be, but not always the case and this is a prime example)-however, most were a third to double more in price, yet even then I was not satisfied as with my original work with Jaclyn. Eyebrow makeup can very quickly go from artificial looking to dead on looking like a stencilled tattoo. I wanted mine as extremely natural as possible. Jaclyn achieved this second time in a row.
