Bad cut and color, Madeline needs more training. She added highlights, then tried to use purple shampoo (which washes out) to hide the highlights, so she put in a toner, then I look in the mirror and have a blob of blonde on the top of my head, she then put brown over that spot. Then she cut my bangs and got my log hair in the cut, so some pieces in front are an inch long, not to mention my bangs look like shit. And she didn't address the gray areas. To top it off, I was in the chair for 3 hours and was charged $170.00. I will NEVER go back to this salon. read more

My grandma used to come here a lot and she always had a good experience but the last experience was horrible. Especially be that was my first time coming. Completely charged up the butt for her haircut and mine when all they did was trim it a little. The whole crew was mean and the vibe was off like if they didn't want to do their job. They just wanted to be done quick and not what we asked for. For only a hour worth of work for both of us they did not follow through with their part of making it what we asked for. Too much money for work my little sister or my grandpa could've done way better. I do not recommend this place is the worse place for anyone who's been wanting to get their hair done properly, professionally, and pay good money for something a child can do better. Also the receptionist was rude the black hair lady who said mean things and that what I was asking for wouldn't look good on me because I wasn't "hot enough" almost made me start cutting again the way she bullied me and forced my grandma to pay so much money for 1 hour worth of work like if they work on artists who can pay $500 or more a hour. Get new employees and actually get people who care and will say something nice to lift customers spirits not bring them down and make fun of customers. Overall I give it a negative ten out of ten (-10/10) learn to respect and make people feel better about themselves not bully them to start cutting and burning themselves for such horrible things I was told of how I looked. So horrible I don't even want to say it. Please go ahead and find a church and repent to our dear savior because you're going to end up in the fiery place where Lucifer shall give you the worst treatment ever. Honestly I'm disgusted by the way this salon treated my friend. She has huge sensory issue and made it very clear before they started and during the process. When it came time to dry the hair and style my friend cannot have someone dry their hair because of the sensory. The stylist Danielle didn't care at all and laughed in my friends face. It was completely unprofessional and really disrespectful towards her client. I would not recommend going to this salon. read more

I got my hair cut and colored (full foil-ayage) by Amy and she was AMAZING. She made sure to ask questions to understand exactly the look that I was going for, added helpful suggestions when I wasn't sure and she totally delivered. Amy was very detailed and knowledgeable about process, products and current trends. Added bonus, she was super fun to talk to and made the time in salon fly by. Lucy Be has gone above and beyond to make sure they are following Covid related procedures, however I will say they added safety with out taking away from the relaxing and ascetically pleasing salon feel. Not only dose Hannah know hair but she is a very sweet and kind person. She doesn't rush you through your appointment and makes sure you're satisfied before you leave. Hannah goes above and beyond. She made a home visit to cut my 95 year old mom's hair and she also shared some very useful information and tips for my sister who is losing her hair due to chemotherapy. I highly recommend Hannah. The atmosphere is relaxed, and they always offer coffee, tea, and water. Jaymi always sits down with you before touching your hair to discuss what kind of cut you want. This was going to be my first time here for me and I had a scheduled appointment for a haircut that I had made over a week in advance. My appointment was for 1:00. My kids got out of school at 12:45. I made enough time to get my babysitter, grab both kids from school, get them home and settled and be ON TIME to my haircut appointment. I was early by 3 minutes. When I got there, exhausted and in major need of some pampering and a haircut, Danielle wasn't there. The receptionist said she had ran across the street. Ok, I'll admit I was immediately turned off, come on!! I get that people need to eat or whatever errand she was running, but she had known about this appointment for well over a week and should have planned accordingly. Had she even been on the premises I would have been fine. But she left when she had a new client coming in. So let me get this straight- you wanted your new client to wait for you to show up and then when you do get there, I'll wait longer for you to get prepared. How is that fair?? I left at 1:04. So in total I gave her 7 minutes. Yes, I could've waited, but I'm paying a babysitter and then you to be late? No thank you. She did call me at 1:06 and left a message, I felt like she was blaming me for leaving. Like I did something wrong. I don't have time to waste like that, I'm a busy wife and mom. I would never waste someone's time like that. She could've text or called to tell me she's running late. Would've changed everything. Please do not blame me for not waiting longer. As far as I'm concerned if you're not five minutes early you're late. Good luck with your business. I hope this review can help you tweak your process. We won't be returning. read more

I'm giving this a strictly middle of the pack rating because I never used their services. I sent a Yelp message and they did respond but we never made a connection. No one answers their phone and there is no online scheduling option. You just have to leave a message and wait for a callback, hopefully at a time you can answer your phone. I'm glad they are so busy but my time is valuable to me. I've made an appointment elsewhere. As an update and to respond to the salon's reply, I did call back (at 2:53pm) on Friday, and received a reply after 7pm when the salon was closed. I was told that they would call me again on Saturday but never heard anything else. Again, I didn't give an awful review but I'm required to put stars on prior to writing anything. I would suggest you consider an online scheduling service if it is hard for people to reach you by phone. Customer service goes beyond what happens in the chair. I really like this salon. I have seen Taylor twice now, once for highlights and a cut, and the second time just for a cut. Taylor takes her time to insure your haircut is done well, works for your lifestyle and your hair routine. The products they use are great quality too. My hairstylist that I've had for years moved out of town. She left me with a balayage style. I've needed a haircut for about a month and wanted to either keep the balayage or go to a solid brown. I scheduled with Lucy Be Hair because the salon has a good ratings for was scheduled with Amy, but my bangs were past my chin so I went to a walk in (cheap) place to get a trim before my appointment at Lucy Be Hair... that was a mistake on my part. The girl left my hair so uneven and choppy. My appointment day finally came. When I walked in I was greeted. The salon is absolutely adorable and has a welcoming feeling. Once in Amy's chair we started talking about what I wanted, what my goals are for my hair. I want to grow it out and have my long hair back (it's a little longer than my shoulders now). We decided that dying it all brown would be the healthiest option. Amy choose this beautiful mahogany color. The color is more than I expected and I'm in love with it. It's going to take sometime to fix the previous haircut because I'm not willing to cut all of my hair to make it even right now. Time takes time as they say. Love this place, the whole package. First of all the service is excellent. Jaymi cuts and adds a 'bit of sunshine' to my hair. She keeps it looking natural which is exactly what I have described to her that I want. Secondly, the space is delightful. When you step through the door it is hard to believe you are just across the street from Trader Joe's (another plus!). The decor is light and airy and it just feels good to be there. This salon also goes the extra mile to make sure the products used are safe for the client and the environment. Thirdly the rest of the staff are friendly and helpful. Scheduling is nice because I like being able to schedule on line but also to talk to a person when-well I have screwed up Each time I go, I know that I will get the same consistent high quality service and that is a huge relief when it comes to hair! I now live in Bellingham and have had both Jaymi and Danielle do my color and cut, and have never been happier. They are talented, and both have a keen eye for color and style. Jaymi, the owner of this gorgeous salon, really knows her stuff, and she is an accessible and knowledgeable mentor to her newer stylists. I love love love the products they use for color and styling, and they also sell Davines and R&Co which I swear by for my colored, thick, curly hair. If you live anywhere near Bham, no need to ever drive to Seattle again to get the best for your hair. I've sent my adult daughters and friends there and they never went anywhere else. read more

I went here about two years ago and never went back I was blonde and wanted my hair a light brown and a short bob. this women dyed my hair basically black and didn't cut it as short as I wanted when I had to get it died back to blonde almost 8 months later the pigment she used was so strong it took me probably a year of constant hair consults to get it to be a nice blonde. It also cost me way more then getting a balayage which is the most expensive thing I usually do for my hair and dying someone's dark is way easier but it cost me over $500 to get my hair cut and dyed dark which she didn't listen to me on either. I didn't enjoy my appointment. Way over priced. read more
