Christ Memorial is it beautiful and incredibly rustic church. The walls are made of rough volcanic…read morerock. It is a small church in this small community, but it feels substantial. The door was open when I stopped by one morning. People were invited to come in, and so I did. Inside it feels solemn, spiritual and calm. This is truly a peaceful place. The grounds are beautiful. There is also an old cemetery around it. Some of the gravestones mark people who passed more than a century ago. But many of them have shell leis draped across them. People commune with the past here. There is also a labyrinth on the grounds where you can walk and ponder for a while.
