My daughters wanted to hit at least one thrift store while we were on the island and this was the only one open when we got into town. Definitely an authentic neighborhood thrift store with lots of items to choose from. It was very warm inside on a hot day. My youngest found a nice wallet which she ended up purchasing, but other than that, they didn't have what they were looking for. Nice setup though! read more

Made a quick stop in to check it out on our way back to the airport after our stay in Princeville. We always make a point to check out local thrift stores, no matter where we travel. Parking is plentiful and the location is easy to get in and out of off the main highway. The clothings was neatly organized by sex, style, color and size. Prices were decent, though there was an entire section of "brand name" items that were priced higher and seemed to be a bit more than they ought to be, based on the styles being out-dated. I found a summer shorts jumpsuit for $12 and purchased that. The back area with household items was also neatly organized, but seemed a bit dusty and dirty. read more

Small locals thrift store. We went in looking for a container we could make and refrigerate for iced tea. Didn't find what we wanted but I found a beautiful authentic 100% cotton Turkish towel for about $6. Love it and still using at home in CA. Will definitely check out the store at the beginning of our next trip! read more

One of the better thrift stores we have in my opinion especially for clothes. They have a good stock and it's usually pretty organized. Not too crammed with things. Great prices & sometimes they have a special percent off for a section of things. read more

In the past was able to find vintage jewelry here but looks like they changed things up and switched to paparazzi jewelry so I was a bit disappointed on this visit. Store was clean and well stocked. They always have a nice variety of clothing and housewares. Just didn't find anything on this visit for me, so sad. Oh well maybe next time. read more

Visiting from the mainland, and it's my first time here in Kauai! The aunties working are very warm and organized the place very nicely. What made it even more sweeter was the discount of the day, all clothing was 40% off! Talk about a deal. I recommend for avid thrift shoppers or for those who know you can find real gems if you're patient enough. read more

My friend got 3 bathing suits. One was a brand new miracle that retails for $168. She paid 3.75. She also got new slippas.

This was the best thrift store we found in the Kapaa area - mostly clothing with an array of other thrifty items. Everything is organized into color coded tags and there was a sale going on when we went so our items were half price with a $1 donation to a local charity. read more

Great place for clothing mostly! Well organized & fun old Hawaiian shirts for cheap for kids & adults. The keikis found some toys & books they wanted, but no house fans (the reason I went there). They have a deal when checking out, that if you donate a $1 to their charity program, you get all your stuff you're buying half off. Which is nice, because I was thinking the prices where a little $$ until you count in the 1/2 off savings, then its spot on for price. read more

Great gem on the island. We were going camping and needed an extra blanket, so we kept looking for a thrift store that was open. Ho'omana was tucked away and the store front is on the other side. Great prices and decent selection of stuff. They support individuals with disabilities so would highly recommend stopping by and helping this cause! read more

Great place for used Hawaiian shirts. Donating a buck to get the 50% off makes things much more reasonably priced. It's also nearby opeka falls so you can do both in one trip. Leaving the store to visit the falls is a pain though because its a killer blind left turn. read more

If you can look past the poor lighting and strange smell, this is a decent thrift store. They have a large selection for the island and if you donate a dollar, all your items are half off (which brings them to regular thrift store prices). It is a bit dingy but roughly organized. It seems to have gotten cleaner and more orangized in the past year. They have lots of clothes, toys, bedding, decor, kitchenwear, books, and some furniture. read more

I have been to Ho'omana many times and have really enjoyed the things I bought and the customer service, BUT I went in recently when a bald man that I have never seen there before was working, and I heard him say to a customer "well you don't have to be a b*tch about it" because she was upset that she brought her donations down just to find out that the shop was closing 2 hours early. Now, I know I wasn't the customer being called this, but I was appalled that this staff member thought he had the right to cuss at a customer. I believe that this is a good business, but I have also heard from others in the community that customer service has been an issue in the past. I don't know if I want to purchase from or donate to a business that hires rude and disrespectful staff members, even if it is just one. read more
