This place is a joke!!! First day I was there to visit my cousin NO ONE knew where he was nor could…read morethey find him and the employees were very uncooperative and unconcerned. I finally got the DON and told her what was going on and about ten minutes after she left me sitting in a common area I hear a code silver called! I was in that facility for over 30 minutes before I ever laid eyes on my cousin! And there was no apologies made!! The next day I go there and they brought my cousin's roommate a dinner tray 15 minutes later I'm still labeling his clothes and a CNA comes in and I asked her "does he not get to eat tonight?" Her response was oh, he didn't get a tray? Do you see a tray? No he didn't get a tray!!!!! Had I not been there would he have even got to eat dinner that night? Then I go up there last night and my cousin has bruises on his face!!! Asked his nurse about it and NO ONE seems to know what happened or why he has them but his (thinking i must be stupid) is trying to tell me that these fresh bruises are from where he fell on March 25 th (which we were not notified about)!!! Yet I have pictures with my cousin from Tuesday with no bruises and now it's Friday and there's bruises there. Nothing charted that he fell!!! Nothing charted about the bruises being on his face! nothing and no one can explain or tell me what happened! This is completely unacceptable on many levels!!!! His call light button was hanging on the wall where he could not reach if he needed help, his fall mat was folded in half at the head of the bed (not doing him much good if he falls out of the bed) and he had NO water, no water pitcher, NOTHING to drink! Not even a cup to put water in!! My cousin cannot speak up for himself! People you have to be diligent and advocate for your loved ones!!!!! This place is a shit hole!!!!!!! In the process of getting my cousin moved asap. Contacted the Florida ombudsman, State and an attorney!!! Don't trust these people to have your loved one's best interest at heart, because they don't!!!

FORMER EMPLOYEE OF CONWAY LAKES HEALTH AND REHABILITATION…read more Other cnas/lpns warned me prior to making these! Complaints July 11th -during training cna dropped patient in a toilet stepped back and laughed at them I helped them up and reported the incident July-17th I seen a cna curse out a patient calling them a (fucken bitch) telling them to (shit the fuck up and roll over) . July-17th an employee from activities refused to stop walking to allow me to give my patients water (the patient have not received water since 7am it was now 3pm). She proceeded to state infront of the patient I'm not stopping I have things to do and god forbid you ask this one to do anything she acts like she can't hold a thing. July-28 I had a two person assist by nurse for two patients I notified the nurse that both had been sitting in urine and that I needed her help that it took 35 minutes to get help for one patient another 25 minutes go by they send me on my break at 8:30 pm! My break is 45 minutes they left the patient in he own poop for the entire time . July-28an nurse was putting a medication on a patient head and informed me she did not know what she was doing she said I think u put it on her head and wash it with a cloth I'm not sure I work nights I asked her what do you mean your not sure she then tried to have me apply it and I refused. July-30th a patient complained of vaginal pain the nurse took a medicated script from on patient squeezed it in a medicine cup and told me to apply it to said patient's vaginal area I declined. July -30th a patient that is paralyzed from the waist down wanted me to remove her hoyer belt from under her while she was in the chair because that's what the other cnas do for her I went to the nurse and the nurse on duty tried to convince me to do the same thing I REFUSED . August 1st i arrived to work I waited for the don to inform her of the incidents on prior days And was told that they will no longer be employing me . Because I have a complaint every day . And that they haven't heard any of these complaints before I became employed. They refused to supply me with documentation of ANY OF THE INCIDENTS. IVE REPORTED EVERYONE ON OF THSES AND I WILL NOT BE HUSHED ON THE HARSH AND UNFAIR TREATMENT OF THESE PATIENTS. They do not care about making it a safer or better place for anyone's loved one they only care about hushing the problem!!!! To them it is just another check !!! To me it was much much more ..

We had wounds on his feet with wraps on them. The wounds were never checked until the 5th day when I asked to take him to a local hospital to have them checked. After asking about taking him to a hospital due to the neglect to check on these open wounds I was told numerous times ways they could "make it better". They could have done what they should have from the beginning and it wouldn't have reached me asking for this. Every nurse or medical person I spoke to outside of the facility spoke very ill of this place and were shocked that the place was still open. The nurses are too busy talking shit about the patients to help the patients there. Again I would try your best to find any place but here!!!!!!

You will be told no one is available to evaluate them and your loved one may be forced to be bed ridden and diapered if no one is there to speak for them. The nurses did not even check to see if she was oriented. When the floor manager came in that evening she assessed her and most importantly spoke to her like a person and then called in the nurses and assistants to read them the riot act. My mom had knee surgery and was just there for PT. They would move her and touch her bandaged leg and had no clue why she was there. There was no communication between the shifts. She put her in a diaper despite her protests, they didn't want to get her a chair to go to the bathroom and told her she'd have to go in the diaper. This was before I got there. The bathroom was badly ventilated, between two rooms so it always felt like someone had showered recently, it only had a toilet. The food was disgusting, prefrozen meats that looked like the muscle had burst from improper storage, skinned mash potatoes that felt like hardened chunks that had been left uncovered, cold and bad coffee and what was surely jello that had been to watered to prevent becoming solid with ice cubes in it. On top of that the plastic covers for the food smelled like standing water. We brought her food and fruit every day. There is no where for family to sit. They did not bathe her even though she arrived in hospital robes. They spoke AT her. My husband noticed another woman who seemed to have been wearing the same thing all weekend. On a Sunday morning they told my mom when she was alone that her knee extension machine was broken and they would have to wait til PT came in on Monday before she could have her treatments. We showed up and asked the nurse on that shift to turn it on. She walked in and set it up. It was never broken, they had just taken it apart and said it was broken. My mother was upset and felt so unsafe. She had been uncomfortable not being at home when she arrived but her fear and anxiety became palpable. The insurance company and hospital were appalled by her treatment and worked with us to get her out of there as soon as possible but they needed the in house doctor to ok the transfer. They lied to my husband about when the doctor was available and nothing happened until the evening before she left. We made sure she left the next day by noon. This is a nightmare. Do not leave your family here. Do not leave your enemies here.

They will lock you up in a small corner of the building and constantly threaten you with law enforcement. It is called "eloping" if you choose to leave. You are not allowed to make any phone calls during what they call a "mandatory 72 hour hold" - which is called a Baker Action, though they refuse to admit it. They will not create any individual therapy, you will not have access to ANY recreational activities, except for a "smoke break." Even then, if you do not participate in group, they will punish you by taking your outside time away and confining you to your room. They are also antisemitic. I announced several times that I am Jewish and require a pork free and kosher diet. They constantly ignored this. I went 5 days without food. I was also told not to bring any toiletries, that they would be provided. Nope. Took 3 days just to get a toothbrush, no deodorant, no toothpaste or mouthwash, and no towel or washcloth. I felt so dehumanized.

My father has been a resident since January 17 after he took ill and Assisted Living…read more We initially did not choose Hunters Creek nursing and rehab but when it came time to move him from the hospital, the other facility had no beds available. I happen to see Hunters Creek's building from across the parking lot of my father's Assisted Living and quickly called for a tour. The first voice I heard was that of Diana, who is the receptionist at the front of the nursing home. It was her cheerful and sweet voice that made me smile and feel comfortable With the possibility of him staying there for rehab. Rosie, Michelle, Jacqueline, Trish, Ann, Jessi, and Diamond are all the team players In the business offices. You will never find more compassionate and dedicated individuals. There is nothing they will not do to help you with your loved one if they stay here. I know them each by name because of the individualized services they provide and the contact that they pride themselves on. I'm deeply grateful for this team of healthcare administrators. The nursing staff, Including certified nursing assistants, and the facility cleaning/ Maintenance team, Are some of the most dedicated staff you will come upon. As I visit my father daily, I'm always quick with a hello and a smile to each, and every one of them, knowing what they do throughout the day to care for the patients. The people we are closest to, thanks to their incredible level of care for my father, are Ariana, Anetide, Elaine, Javaline (Sp?) and so many more! All of the nurses/CNA are at the top of their professional game and I am grateful! I love the nursing team so much That I always leave a basket of snacks and goodies in my father's room for them to grab and know that they are appreciated. It is the very least I can do for what they take on each and every day. The Nutrition team works hand-in-hand with families to make sure that patients get the food that not only is most nutritious but find favorites to include on their trays each day. My father lived on grilled cheese when he first arrived because that was his comfort food. He could ask for it at any time of day and one would be delivered to him. David, The nutrition manager, Called me personally to get information on my father and his favorites that might be included each day. Something is simple as cornflakes on a breakfast tray makes my father, so happy and encourages him to eat. I'm so grateful to this team for seeing to my father's dietary needs. Finally, If your loved one is here for rehab Count yourself lucky. The rehab team is Encouraging, Kind, Compassionate, Skilled, And Lovely human beings. I am eternally grateful to this team ( Ren, David, and Jeffrey we see most often) who have to deal with my sweet but grumpy Father on a daily basis. Their humor and constant encouragement, have helped him regain some of his strength after a lengthy illness. The support team to the rehab team also need to be recognized for their attention to detail on paperwork and knowledgeable alternatives when Patients need a little extra help. I can't recommend Hunters Creek nursing home enough for any long-term care or rehab needs. While not absolutely perfect, No company is, They do excel in the areas that are most important. Thank you to everyone At the Hunters Creek, nursing and rehab for making my father's life comfortable In this new chapter. I am grateful Beyond words for each and everyone of you.
