Jack and Jill bathrooms hot inside no circulation, floors look dirty . Some areas you see black mold. Some CNA actually care and they work and a few are lazy and you can tell. A lot of staff members get fired or quit. Some Nurses and CNA that care and are good workers just quit because they are over worked and not happy working there because concerns they see are not getting corrected. Food sometimes cold or undercooked vegetables hard for them to bite down sometimes for dinner they get a dry turkey or ham sandwich. Sometimes, watery powered mashed potatoes. Their protein meat like pork chops overcooked that it is hard to cut or bite down it is not even cut for them. Safety issues concerns with equipment left unattended that can cause a trip hazard. If you put a sign up for staff to read for instructions for your family member. It gets ignored. If you visit your family member and you notice something obviously wrong with them a few feet away before you reach them and inquire about it. They never know anything so basically they look the other way until a family member brings it up. Majority of the time you never find anyone at the nursers station or on the floor when you need them. So you have to go up and down the hallway looking at everyone's room to find someone. Management knows all about the issues and they do not do anything to correct it. They may bring it up but they do not enforce it because they know they may quit on the spot. The hallways sometimes smell bad and their response is they are nose blind. I am sorry but the smell of poop/diarrhea or rotten fish there is no way you can be nose blind to that. I do not recommend anyone placing their family members there unless you do not care for them. BTW, they do not make sure they are hydrated all they do everyday is place a large styrofoam cup of ice water by their nightstand. So if your family member aren't able to reach it or understand what it is because of mental issues they get dehydrated. Some get an IV because they became dehydrated and some die from it. I noticed that when family members don't visit or they think they are helping them to drink water. The list goes on and on. If you notice a 5 star review it is fake.

The staff (most not all) are rude and do not communicate with family members about their loved one. They do not return phone calls. They talk rudely to the residents and about the residents to other staff members. My loved one sat in their soiled brief for over 2 hours on more than one instance because the nurse would not answer their call to take them to the restroom, which resulted in an infection. My loved one has also been given the wrong medication which resulted in an ER trip. Seniors deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, not like they are children without a say. Do yourself and your family member a favor and do not send them here for nursing/rehabilitation. I can't speak about the other parts but this area is horrible.

Negligent!!!! Hundreds of the Mayflower residents living in the Independent tower still are not…read moreallowed back to their apartments after the underground parking flooded during Hurricane Ian ( 9-28-22). As of today 11-4-22 the residents are still not allowed to go to their apartments even to pick up their belongings. Many are living in hotels. The Mayflower neglected to take care of flooding which has happened in the past but this time it fried their electrical, the generator and the elevators. Here is the latest update from CEO Steve Kramer on 11-4-22: This week, we continued to make progress on repairs to our electrical system. We received two tractor trailer loads of temporary electrical gear, which are being prepared for installation once the demolition of the existing electrical equipment is complete. We expect demolition to be complete and equipment installation to begin by the middle of next week. Once temporary gear is installed and activated, we will be able to initiate elevator repairs. Again, much of this work is happening simultaneously. As you know, we originally asked residents to prepare to vacate their apartments for three to four weeks, based on information we had at the time. Next week will be the four-week mark - and while we have made monumental progress in a relatively short amount of time, given the scope of our repairs, we clearly will not be able to have residents return yet. Because we are still awaiting confirmation on lead times for some critical repair components, we cannot yet provide a specific return date - but our contractors and suppliers are working with us to expedite the process as much as possible. As soon as we are able to solidify the timeline, you will know. We've had a number of inquiries regarding concerns about the possibility for mold growth in the apartments. Please know that we are regularly monitoring the apartment towers, and both our Building Services Director and Director of Construction agree that this should not be a concern in the apartments. Additionally, the garage and areas that were inundated with water have been remediated and treated as well. Many of you have been visiting the new Mayflower healthcare building. If you do: As a matter of safety, please do not park in the designated Fire Lane when you first enter the new building's parking lot. The City of Winter Park has been issuing citations to vehicles parked in that area. Finally, I'd like to share some good news: Last night, the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce held their annual Best of Winter Park reception. At my initial evaluation, I did not feel that I received the full amount of time I expected for a thorough assessment. I attended four visits, and each time I was seen by a different provider. Because of this, I did not feel there was the continuity of care that is important in physical therapy. Having a consistent therapist who knows your history, progress, and treatment goals can make a significant difference. During my last visit, I requested cupping as part of my treatment. The provider indicated that she would check about whether it could be done, but I never received an answer or follow-up regarding my request. Another concern was that, while I needed to be reassessed, the therapist was also working with another patient. I understand that therapists have multiple patients and busy schedules, but I felt that my reassessment deserved more individual attention. If another therapist was available at the time, I believe having someone assist with the reassessment would have provided better attention to my needs. As a Medicare patient, I take my healthcare seriously and expect to receive attentive, consistent, and individualized care. I understand that a busy rehabilitation facility has scheduling and staffing challenges, but my experience left me feeling that my care could have been handled with more attention and continuity. I am sharing this review not to criticize any individual provider, but to give an honest account of my experience and hopefully help the facility improve the patient experience.

I'm getting…read morethe therapy from Leonard Mitchell, a doctor in physical therapy, and am very happy even after 2 sessions (and the home exercises) for my adhesive encapsulated shoulder. He warms the shoulder up with an exercise machine then stretches and manipulates the shoulder putting pressure on it before I do a few new exercises. They're very caring and accommodating. I requested a heating pad first to start the warm up and he gladly did that for me. I had previously come to this center and a physical therapist assistant took care of me, Brittany, and she was spot on, too. I'm inspired to do the exercises (and I'm lazy and undisciplined for repetitive exercises) seeing the progress even in a short period. I took some pics, but they're limited because the center protects patients privacy so I was asked to not include patients in the pics, even from behind. I like their professionalism.
