If you don't believe me then walk in unannounced and then ask your loved ones what they really think of this place. Take care of your family at home, don't leave them with someone who doesn't know or care about them. Horrible, horrible place.

The care and concern that all staff members have for the residents is in comparable. This is a small facility, 40 beds, but the staff was very adequate. The building was spotless and odorless. Each resident had their own TV, the rooms were large, beds modern and comfortable. Large closet, two dressers, plenty of wall space to hang pictures. Excellent social director, and therapy staff, who knew and were concerned about all the residents. I was lucky to get my Mother in this facility.

My experiences with the Mayflower have been terrible. I have a family member who went through the…read morerehab portion for after stroke care. The staff (most not all) are rude and do not communicate with family members about their loved one. They do not return phone calls. They talk rudely to the residents and about the residents to other staff members. My loved one sat in their soiled brief for over 2 hours on more than one instance because the nurse would not answer their call to take them to the restroom, which resulted in an infection. My loved one has also been given the wrong medication which resulted in an ER trip. Seniors deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, not like they are children without a say. Do yourself and your family member a favor and do not send them here for nursing/rehabilitation. I can't speak about the other parts but this area is horrible.

Hundreds of the Mayflower residents living in the Independent tower still are not…read moreallowed back to their apartments after the underground parking flooded during Hurricane Ian ( 9-28-22). As of today 11-4-22 the residents are still not allowed to go to their apartments even to pick up their belongings. Many are living in hotels. The Mayflower neglected to take care of flooding which has happened in the past but this time it fried their electrical, the generator and the elevators. Here is the latest update from CEO Steve Kramer on 11-4-22: This week, we continued to make progress on repairs to our electrical system. We received two tractor trailer loads of temporary electrical gear, which are being prepared for installation once the demolition of the existing electrical equipment is complete. We expect demolition to be complete and equipment installation to begin by the middle of next week. Once temporary gear is installed and activated, we will be able to initiate elevator repairs. Again, much of this work is happening simultaneously. As you know, we originally asked residents to prepare to vacate their apartments for three to four weeks, based on information we had at the time. Next week will be the four-week mark - and while we have made monumental progress in a relatively short amount of time, given the scope of our repairs, we clearly will not be able to have residents return yet. Because we are still awaiting confirmation on lead times for some critical repair components, we cannot yet provide a specific return date - but our contractors and suppliers are working with us to expedite the process as much as possible. As soon as we are able to solidify the timeline, you will know. We've had a number of inquiries regarding concerns about the possibility for mold growth in the apartments. Please know that we are regularly monitoring the apartment towers, and both our Building Services Director and Director of Construction agree that this should not be a concern in the apartments. Additionally, the garage and areas that were inundated with water have been remediated and treated as well. Many of you have been visiting the new Mayflower healthcare building. If you do: As a matter of safety, please do not park in the designated Fire Lane when you first enter the new building's parking lot. The City of Winter Park has been issuing citations to vehicles parked in that area. Finally, I'd like to share some good news: Last night, the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce held their annual Best of Winter Park reception. I am happy to let you know that, once again, The Mayflower was voted Best Senior Living! Congratulations! You are all a big part of helping us achieve this recognition. Jack and Jill bathrooms hot inside no circulation, floors look dirty . Some areas you see black mold. Some CNA actually care and they work and a few are lazy and you can tell. A lot of staff members get fired or quit. Some Nurses and CNA that care and are good workers just quit because they are over worked and not happy working there because concerns they see are not getting corrected. Food sometimes cold or undercooked vegetables hard for them to bite down sometimes for dinner they get a dry turkey or ham sandwich. Sometimes, watery powered mashed potatoes. Their protein meat like pork chops overcooked that it is hard to cut or bite down it is not even cut for them. Safety issues concerns with equipment left unattended that can cause a trip hazard. If you put a sign up for staff to read for instructions for your family member. It gets ignored. If you visit your family member and you notice something obviously wrong with them a few feet away before you reach them and inquire about it. They never know anything so basically they look the other way until a family member brings it up. Majority of the time you never find anyone at the nursers station or on the floor when you need them. So you have to go up and down the hallway looking at everyone's room to find someone. Management knows all about the issues and they do not do anything to correct it. They may bring it up but they do not enforce it because they know they may quit on the spot. The hallways sometimes smell bad and their response is they are nose blind. I am sorry but the smell of poop/diarrhea or rotten fish there is no way you can be nose blind to that. I do not recommend anyone placing their family members there unless you do not care for them. BTW, they do not make sure they are hydrated all they do everyday is place a large styrofoam cup of ice water by their nightstand. So if your family member aren't able to reach it or understand what it is because of mental issues they get dehydrated. Some get an IV because they became dehydrated and some die from it. I noticed that when family members don't visit or they think they are helping them to drink water. The list goes on and on. If you notice a 5 star review it is fake.

If you have to go offsight, you have to take your life in your own hands. Lynx will leave you at the rehab and at whatever doctor you have an appointment with. Please don't send anybody you care about to this poor excuse for a rehab. If you are lucky, you might see a doctor once/ week, and never when you need to see them. Sleep??? Not when the nurses have their congregation outside your room. I can't stress strongly enough not to send anyone you know or even yourself. Horrible Horrible place.
