I consulted friends and drove everyone crazy with questions ranging from where to get it from to how much it would hurt. So one late night during work, I decided that it was time. I looked at all of the tat places around Toledo and decided that Needle Masters was going to be the place. The thing that sold me was that they guaranteed the work and they even won awards for being THE cleanest tat parlor in Lucas county. They even bragged that the health inspectors got tats from NeedleMasters. But as they say, seeing is believing. Ads can lie, testimonials can be hyped and some people don't always tell the honest truth about things. I went in and was greeted by my tattooist, Jose. I told him what I wanted and what I wanted to spend. He took the design I had and made it a lot better than I had drawn it, and being that it was within my price range, I went with it. Now came the hard part. The execution. He had me wait for about 20 minutes while he prepped his work area. They he called me back. It was set up professionally, and he was wearing gloves and a mask. He had me sit down where he could do his work. I asked if it would hurt. He was honest, and I like that, saying it would a little, but I would get used to it. No painkillers. It took a little more than an hour and when it was done it was fantastic. The only regret I have is that it is on my lower back where few people can actually see it. I hurt, but only on a scale of about 5 out of 10. Not too bad, and you know, I would do it again. He gave me an aftercare pamphlet and told me to return if I had any concerns. It healed according to schedule, and today sits on my back as a testament to his skills as an artist. Would I go back? You betcha. I'm planning to add to my artwork on my back, and hopefully Jose can finish what he began. I will always use NeedleMasters and if you go there, you will too. As they say, a good tattoo isnt cheap, and a cheap tattoo isn't good. Truer words were never spoken.

Super sweet and caring, wasn't pushy and make sure I was okay the entire time. I went in again last night for a nose, a naval, and a rook piercing, once again with Z. Before tip it added up to 130, so reasonably priced. The entire time Z was very considerate, kept checking up on me through the entire time, and was very intentional about making it as easy as possible for me. Found them through my dad, he's friends with JayJay. Over I had a great experience both times I've been there.

Said we needed birth certificate (although we didn't need it the first time) he seemed a little jerkish and unhappy the first time we were there but we didn't have to deal with him so it didn't matter. This time we did and he was absolutely terrible. Will never return or spend any of my money at this shop again. Both sessions were as chill as getting your throat tattooed could be. No small talk while in the moment had me in an almost trance and really helped me to love the proces, or ritual of it all. I was expecting to be paying an arm and a leg for the quality of work, but he stayed on the very low end of my budget which I am super grateful for (tip yr artists if they are that good, friendly, and just as invested as you in making sure it's gonna come out awesome with the best placement).
