We dined at Sandbar last night and it was excellent! The fish tacos were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We had the chance to meet the new owner, who was so personable and accommodating. The restaurant has a fresh new look, and you can tell there's great energy behind it. Excellent chef, great bartender, and you can't beat the beautiful view of the water. They also have sand volleyball, TVs, and a kids menu, which makes it great for families and groups. 2024 update. Sand Bar is under new ownership or management, I believe. Went there yesterday and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly, food was brought out quickly and the burgers were very good. read more

It breaks my heart to give this place two stars. I love the ambience and the owner is great. However, the menu just keeps shrinking and nobody seems to care. Went there today - have been trying to get there by boat for two weeks and people have been parked all crazy so we couldn't get into any of the open spots... today we find that the last remaining menu item I truly loved has been discontinued. Mind you, the menu has already shrunk more than once in the last 12 months. Bartenders are not the friendliest, prices are high and the menu is continuously shrinking. The view and ambience are still amazing... but it's hard to get a spot if you're by boat because inexperienced boaters frequent here and don't know how to park. read more

This place is cool. We only stayed for one beer because it was so packed because of race weekend and the LSU game being on but I bet you can really enjoy this place when it's not a busy. It's right on the water, has a beach volleyball court and outside seating and TV so you can watch a game inside or out. read more

The wait to get food is insane. Food was good but over an hour wait. We have been several times and it is getting worse. We loved the first time only because convenience. Second, third the wait was unacceptable read more

I went with a group and they didn't have half of what they had on the online food menu. Paid restaurant prices for hotdog stand type food. They had a nice patio and looked to be a good spot for volleyball. Probably a cool place to drink but will not be returning to eat ever. Only reason for 2 stars is because the bartender was nice. read more

Oh my goodness. We just moved here and decided to stop for a quick lunch. The side of red beans and rice would have been a meal in itself, but it came with fried chicken and yams. Everything was perfectly cooked and the staff/service was wonderful. The owner was very informative of the area and the exciting things happening - beach volleyball, live bands, and cookouts!! We can even drive our boats to the dock to have a great time. I am so excited to be here! read more

The management at this bar is extremely rude and unprofessional. I visited two weeks ago and had unauthorized charges on my account. When I spoke to the manager about it, her name is Janice, she was rude to me because I told her i would only give the owner my credit card information. She hung up on me and when I called back she proceeded to yell at me. This is no way to treat customers. read more
