The service was as good as can be expected when 2 people are waiting on about 100 people! This is a BAR NOT a place to eat and should be ONLY a bar! It's a hotel lounge that's trying to take on the role of restaurant too so spreads the 2, Yes...TWO workers responsibilities way too thin! The management should see these 2 hard workers running around bartending, serving tables, busting tables, taking orders and cleaning tables...it was crazy! The food was not good! The batter used to fry everything was way too salty...Stick to drinks in the hotel bar and open the restaurant side Hilton....or just keep it drinks! I do NOT recommend this place for eating!

The redfish was really good, the pecan pie and my daughter's bread pudding even better, but the service by the bartender was the best!.

This is a historic building that was once a bank, and it retains its historic murals as well as other features. It's definitely a place to take someone visiting or whom you would like to impress! The menu likewise is impressive, it's created by serious chefs. It includes everything from a simple burger to some fine steaks. I tend to go for the appetizers and small plates. However, they also have some quality seafood as well as Cajun specialties (including a good gumbo). There are regular specials, and the "Soup of the Moment" is also worth trying. They have particularly good charcuterie boards! The service is also great, the staff are dressed all in black, and there are white tablecloths. It's a near fine dine, but not as stuffy as one might expect. Definitely a place worth trying in Downtown Baton Rouge!

For appetizers, we had the cachapas with pork which were delicious. Recommended app for sure! My wife had an Indian curry with cabbage, purple rice, chick peas and spinach-wow!!!!!! Probably the creamiest tasting curry ever! You could add a protein but wifey went with the vegetarian option and it was great! It wasn't perfect bc there were some chick peas that weren't cooked all the way and were crunchy I went with the mussels in a pesto cream sauce with potatoes and it was sooooo delicious!!! Again not perfect as some mussels had that sandy/gritty taste which I didn't like it most of the them were fine. The ambience here is great! The owner really has thought out every detail to make sure you have an amazing experience. From the decor, music, staff-you can tell there was a a lot of thought, care and love put into it. If you get the chance, don't miss their Restaurant Week menu. They always go above and beyond, and this year was no exception. The quail, stuffed with boudin and served over red beans, was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. It was one of the standout dishes I've had in quite a while. We were in a large alcove at the back of the restaurant. It was spacious and elegant, even with the table ended up being almost entirely filled. Our waiter was enthusiastic and patient with our large party. Refills and check-ins were timed well. The drink selection was pretty extensive. Food was delicious and all delivered within minutes of one another (no one was stuck waiting for long). Burger was cooked to perfection and not TOO hot. I hate when food is so hot in temperature that you can't take a bite. The chocolate cake was good, but the whip cream tasted kinda fake/oily. The cake itself was medium density and had a slightly salted finish. It paired perfectly with the frosting which was very rich and extra sweet. A delightful pairing. For my drink, plus a double shot of whiskey, the burger and dessert, it came to just over $100. That feels expensive. Take that as you will. I wouldn't return mostly due to price. But quality on everything was great, and so was the service. Atmosphere was great too.

We tried to make conversation and it fell flat every time. We enjoy making small talk with bartenders that's why we chose to sit there. Not sure if it was an off night or what. The lounge section was also closed due to a private party. Understandable but we wanted to have an after dinner cocktail. Overall we'd go back and sit at a regular table.
