Had brunch/lunch here on Thursday. It was terrific! We've been driving by this cafe for almost two years. I finally checked with Yelpers who raved about the place, so we gave it a try! I saw online that seating inside is limited, so we went early; good thing we did. The service is very friendly, the employees work together as though they are family. The food options are very creative and portions generous. I had the semolina pancakes with strawberries. Hubby had the Bulgogi toaster. Both were delicious. It took a while to get our food, but it was worth the wait. From the outside, it looks like an old bar, but inside is a comfortable coffee shop. Tables outside too. The Sawhorse Cafe, Williamsport Pa. The breakfasts are pretty good, as is the coffee. I'd say a 5 or possibly 6 out of 10. The space is small and cramped, with an unfriendly "woke" vibe. I've gone there on and off for a few years hoping the vibe might change to be more welcoming, but It hasn't. The last time I was there, I brought my wife for a relaxing breakfast together. There was one table left. I put my phone on the table and got in line to order our food, so when the food comes up we aren't standing there holding our food trying to eat standing up. The two girls in line in front of us waiting to order did the same exact thing, as their 2 purses were on a table and were in front of me in line, as did another man that I know was in line with his hat on a table. However, they decided to humiliate and embarrass us, telling us to take our things off the table and order first before taking a table. Even though we've done it many times before and most people do. We unfortunately were their petty examples of the day. We got out of line and left and spent our money at another breakfast spot that is equally as good or better, without the stress, humiliation and woke attitudes. We will never be back to The Sawhorse Cafe in Williamsport Pa, and I will be sure to tell my circle of friends about my unpleasant experience so they can too decide if they want to eat there. Not the most welcoming place out there. Food was ok. Was the only one in the restaurant and I was on the phone with my wife and had her on speaker while I was enjoying my meal. Then was told I had to take the call off of speaker or end it because I was "bothering the workers" No big deal but will not be returning anytime soon. read more

We stopped for brunch on the way from Pennsylvania to Canada and are so glad that we did. It is a newer restaurant that wasn't there when my husband was in college. The service was amazing, the people were friendly, and the food was excellent! We were just passing through and didn't find too many options that were open on Sunday so we ended up here. What a great little place that clearly people like, because they had a line of several groups waiting for tables. We only had time for coffees and some bakery stuff to go, which were great. Visiting Williamsport required finding a place to have breakfast. While strolling near the college I came across The Sawhorse Cafe and glad I did. Ordering was walk up to counter and being greeted by a pleasant order taker. She explained ordering procedure and my food would be brought to my table upon completion. My table was clean and ready to be immediately used. My order arrived and was of a good portion and excellent quality. My server was very informative. The restaurant was pleasant and rotating customers in an orderly manner. All in all a very pleasant experience and atmosphere. While driving through and area on our way to the Outer Banks, my mom and I stopped here to fuel up for the second half of our journey. We arrived just at the perfect time when there wasn't a crowd. When we placed our order, and sat down, every seat was taken, including the outdoor space, and people were waiting to sit. I really wanted the autumn hash, but they were out of it. I went with the omelet, without cheese. It came with potatoes, which were delicious. My mom had the classic breakfast and enjoyed the homemade jam. I tasted a bit, and also liked it. The coffee here was also superb. What I liked most was this place seemed to be farm to table. There was a sign listing out all of their local partners. You order at the counter, sit, and then your food is brought to you. Parking is a little tricky. We were there on a Saturday. My mom went inside and asked where to park, and we were told we could park two parking lots down at the Thai restaurant, as they were closed currently. What a delicious little spot! My gf and I came in here last Saturday before her wedding to get some breakfast. They had just opened but the regulars were already in getting their morning cup on! We had no issues finding a little table inside although with covid there were only 2 or 3 as it is small. The waitress was friendly and helpful. Small town charm. We both ordered the classic and everything was cooked to perfection and homemade. The scratch potatoes and seasoning was delicious. The eggs were SO fresh. We also split some French toast which was so yummy. The fresh jelly for our toast was fabulous. Coffee was also great. We both got a full breakfast, coffees, Split French toast and got one of their tee shirts for $70. That's legit CHEAP! The quality and service paid for itself! Will return! Try local. What a find! My wife and I were on a road trip up to the finger Lakes and this place was about halfway between New York and where we came from. My first time here. Found it on Yelp, and i also give it a 5 Star. For food and especially for the friendly and efficient staff. You go and order at the counter and the food is brought to you. 6 total tables inside and 4 outside on the sidewalk. . But the wait time seems slight. Although when we arrived, a table just opened up. My sausage was a little overly salty but ok with my white toast. Eggs done scrambled well. Dad had his fresh eggs and ham plate he said the eggs were delicious just like he likes it runny. Mom had the best tasting ham and String bean soup. Good food, lots of parking nearby. I also wanted to add to this review. Today, almost 4 days later at a local open market here in Williamsport, the owner of Sawhorse Jesse and his kids came up to me to say Hi. I don't know, but I think I found my favorite breakfast place. Everyone here is super nice and helpful. Walk in and you can tell how cohesive everything is. Very clean and well maintained. It reminds me of little cafes in Portland, Oregon. Let's get to the food! I ordered the Eggs Benedict, that came with roasted potatoes. The potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The hollandaise sauce is delicious. This sauce was definitely made from scratch. Eggs were cooked perfectly, I love mixing the yolk and the sauce together. Great little spot. I had biscuits and gravy. Was kind of bummed it was in a to go container for a dine in seat, however that does not diminish the amazing flavor of the homemade biscuits and homemade gravy. I had a side of bacon as well the bacon was very good they definitely Did not cheap out on the quality of their food. I would like to note that during my experience at this restaurant they did have a customer come in refusing to wear a mask to order. People need to understand it is not the businesses choice they must comply in order to remain open with the state. don't give them a hard time. This place is awesome! Found it while taking a road trip to Toronto. It set in a small town in what looks like a house and we parked across the street was not sure if there was a parking lot behind. Anyways, proceeded to walk in to a lovely decor with lots of beautiful wood finishes and local art for sale on the wall. This place is more of coffee shop but was quite impressed with the salad, sandwich and breakfast options they had. We got the fresh tuna salad with a Mediterranean twist with olives and a ham and cheese panini with purple cabbage. You can also get a side with a main meal of fresh potatoes or a salad as a side for around $11. The customer service was also phenomenal. I would go more often but the problem is that it's small, has too few tables, and very uncomfortable metal chairs. Dang, it's so good that it's gotten too popular and I can't get a seat! This is a really cute cafe. They have a fairly small menu: just some breakfast items and a couple items for lunch. It might seem a little bit pricy for breakfast, but everything is fresh and handmade and tastes amazing. I also absolutely love their coffee. This last trip, I got a breakfast sandwich. I went with ham, egg and cheese. The sandwich comes on an english muffin, which was huge. I was worried I wouldn't have enough food, but ended up with a really cheap, large breakfast sandwichI also stole a tiny bit of jam from my boyfriend to try and it had large chunks of blueberries in it and was awesome. I'd buy that jam by the jar. The coffee is awesome. I've had their regular drip coffee, but this trip got a cinnamon honey latte. I expected to like it, but it tasted even better than expected. It was a really warming combination of flavors and was perfect for a winter morning. I really recommend this place. Everything is awesome. The actual cafe is really cute. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh, the aura is comforting. Before I was a vegetarian I would get the classic breakfast and it was incredible. Now that I am veg, I usually go for the French toast or something sweet! The pastries are amazing, too. We stumbled across this little cafe on our way home from a long drive. We put in Williamsport and this was one of the options with 5 stars ratings. We didn't hesitate and quickly put the address in our GPS. The cafe does not have designated parking - but there is street parking available. The cafe is small and has a few small tables outside as well. You order at the counter then sit anywhere you like. The menu is very small and limited as they source locally so the menu changes depending on what's available. We ordered the classic and the hash. Oh, the hash was so delicious.
