Per their website, every piece must be original and made by the artist, who's present at the show. They don't allow MLM products or vendors selling soaps, lotions, or candles, which makes it feel more like an actual art fair. No shade to candlemakers. There's a great selection of food trucks and drinks, including beer, cider, wine, mead, and non-alcoholic options. I appreciated how the beverage vendors were spaced out throughout the event. It made getting a drink easy and convenient. It's a huge fair with hundreds of booths. I ate the mac & cheese bowl from a BBQ food truck. It was tasty but lukewarm. My companion had a corn dog and was disappointed with it so he helped out with my food. Dog are welcome at this fair, and there were so many, which - for me -made the experience even better. We found free parking about 4 blocks from the event, which is always a bonus. Lexington is doing art fairs right. Louisville could definitely take a few notes!!

There's a wide selection of food, and if you like tacos and pizza there's vendors upon vendors for you. We did get to try some pretty unique things, with Turkish coffee being at the top of this list. It was really neat seeing them warm it up in the hot sand. My husband said it was a really unique drink. We also got to try some pho, some Cajun food, barbecue, nachos, and more. The festival was well-run and well-organized. The app made it easy to track how many crave-bucks you had left. The parking situation was intuitive and ran smoothly, making it easy to get in and out. Great job to the organizers, I hope to come back next year!

I'm definitely a fan…read more I'd heard from friends that Crave is a super fun event and I'm glad it worked out with my schedule this year that I was finally able to go! Out at Masterson Station, parking is free, but it is $8 for admission which I thought was a little steep for this event. Granted there was live music and games for kids set up- I think even paying 4 or 5 dollars would seem more reasonable to me. We were given a map of the festival with our tickets which listed all the events for both days and showed the general areas (zone 1, zone 2, etc) in which the different food vendors were located. In order to get food from the festival you need to buy crave dollars which are dollar for dollar. The booth suggest that each adult would need about $30, but my boyfriend and I had more than enough food for $15 each. We did a lap around the fairgrounds first to survey our options & see what there was to avoid making any hasty decisions. I realize this sounds obvious but I really liked how you were able to sample a lot of different foods from a variety of places. Especially if you come with an eating-partner, you can get a lot of things and split them to really increase the items you're able to try. Loved this event and think it will continue to grow every year! One thing I'd like to see is more stations for water as it was pretty hot out- I only saw one ant it was when we were leaving. I would suggest doing what we did to avoid long lines and crowds- make it a lunch/dinner and go around 3:30/4- by the time we left at 7 it was getting crazy packed. All in all a very fun time!

My experience with Railbird 2021 was mired by insanely long lines for every thing imaginable. We…read morepaid Railbird several hundred dollars only for them to go out of their way to make sure that there were limited water stations and major staffing issues that prevented their customers from having a good experience. I even had an official come and speak to me because he saw me taking a picture of how understaffed a beer tent was. He started on the whole, "We can't hire help. Biden is paying people more to stay home." Meanwhile, he was not lifting a finger to help the people working the beer tent. I made a comment that he should be absolutely embarrassed that welfare pays more than he is. Either way, I was already sour, and I didn't need someone in my ear. We arrived to the shuttle pickup at Rupp Arena on Saturday afternoon and had to wait for over an hour to board the bus. Once we get to Railbird, I asked if there is a shuttle for ADA needs, and they said they didn't have one, so my girlfriend with ADA needs had to walk up the hill while pushing her scooter, etc. The ADA sections at the stages were fairly small. If they were full, then you were out of luck. We only got to sit in one ADA section for one concert all weekend. Only at the end of the day on Sunday did someone say that they had shuttles for ADA guests. Prior to that, everyone said it didn't exist. But even so, there weren't any available. I would like to note... - The music was awesome. My Morning Jacket absolutely crushed it. Dave Matthews, Jason Isbell, the Black Pumas, Magnolia Boulevard... They were all amazing. The music and the concerts generally didn't disappoint at all. - The people working the tents for food and drinks worked their butts off and I am proud of them. I feel really bad for them because the Railbird leadership failed them on Saturday in every way imaginable. - Sunday was much better. Lines were shorter, there was greater water access, etc. Whatever Railbird did differently on Sunday, they should have been doing all weekend. But they didn't. Instead, they actively chose to screw people that paid them several hundred bucks. Ordinarily, I wouldn't give a low rating for logistical issues, but these were so bad that they actually were immoral and dangerous. People were having medical emergencies because they were having to stand out in the heat without water for so long. If Railbird wants me or anyone else to come back, then they have got to reassure us that they've made every conceivable effort to keep their guests safe. If they don't, then forget it. I'll literally go do anything else.

Very intimate layout with great access to food, drinks and bathrooms. Even with the diverse crowd, it was a great atmosphere. Sound and line-up was solid all day. There was a great variety of items available; pastries, baked goods, meats, cheeses, milk, local beers and LOTS of vegetables. I loved how many vegetable stands there were. Pastry prices were a bit high across the board but the ones I purchased were good. There was even a small amount of local art available which I love to see at farmers markets. I assumed the market was contained to the pavilion but to my surprise I realized the market also lined portions of the streets and around the pavilion. If I lived here I would find it pretty easy to do the bulk of my protein and vegetable shopping here. I almost forgot the mention the plethora of flowers.. GORGEOUS flowers!

We got there around noon and there was so much to look at. I was drawn to the Dubai brownie but we had lunch right before walking to the market. At the flower table we stopped at I got three stems for 10.00. They do take cash or you can go to the farmer's market information table and buy tokens for your purchase. The fresh produce looked really good long with the baked items on several tables. There is a table that does handmade pasta that looked really good. Since I watch my carb intake sadly I past that table up they also had mini meatballs made with a mix of pork and beef. There was a variety of cheeses, wines, beer, some tee shirts, a food truck that had really interesting drinks and different flavored lemonade flavors. I love seeing all the dogs at the market and although we don't have a dog I thought about getting a cat backpack and taking our cat.

I have to admit that upon hearing the name of this festival, I had no interest in attending. I…read moreactually thought it was going to be literally a sandwich on a lawn with old men aka "POPS". Please note, this is not the case. Picnic With The Pops is a two night event that takes place every year inside Keeneland. You can buy general admission aka picnic blanket seating or you may purchase tables that seat up to 8 people. Either way you can hear and see the stage with ease from any location on the lawn. It is great for young and old alike. The festival features the Lexington Philharmonic and a random guest(s). This year happened to feature Wycliffe Gordon and the theme was "Night on Bourbon Street". Why does the theme matter, you ask? Well, my kiddies, besides the tone of the music provided for the evening there is a table decorating contest based off this theme. This table decorating thing was serious. People brought in props and decorations and lavish place sittings. Just to deck out their table to be the chosen one. I was really impressed. There was even a table bribing people with voodoo cookies. Bribes I say, just kidding. The cookie was yummy. The winning 3 tables get their names announced and received a prize. This being a picnic wouldn't be legit without food and drink. The event provided a food truck and some drink vendors, but you were encouraged to BYOB. For those of you who aren't familiar with that term, BYOB is Bring Your Own Booze or Juice as I like to say. Some people even opted to have their night catered. I went as a guest at the Yelp table. I was fortunate enough to have Lyles BBQ cater for us. Chandler brought the food piping hot to our table and wished us a good evening before disappearing into the night. I would really recommend them for catering any event. A few other things to note...You can't get into the parking area without your ticket in your hot little hands, but the ticket takers will allow you to pull to the side and wait for your party. The next thing which I found awsome, the Boy Scouts and their little red wagons unloaded and delivered the coolers and decorations to the tables/area. How awsome is that? The Boy Scouts! They didn't even get a badge for it. Hats off to them for sure. So if you like music and food while surround by friends and fun, get tickets next time you see them go on sale. It was a great time and great festival. I will more than likely attend again.

I had the most dazzlingly fun time at the Lexington Comic and Toy con. I went to get a few…read moreautographs and pictures. So this is the second time I went to try to see Rose McGowan. she wasn't there. Holly Marie Combs tells me that she was coming but was sick. I went with my sister. she wanted to see Shannen Doherty. I stood in line with her. This was the first day. We waited in line for almost 5 hours. my sister got her autograph, I was just there for support. The girl who was first in line spotted Brian Krause. I told my sister I was going to walk around and see who was here. Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters were here. Brian Krause and Holly Marie Combs. There was merch on different floors. It's a con so there were a lot of cosplayers. me and my sister went to get some food, it was pretty good. we were there for several hours. I got my picture taken with Beau Smith and his wife, they were awesome. I told them we would come back tomorrow. Today was more of a chill day. My sister got in Shannen's line again. I went and bought some comics. Barbara Eden was here. She had a really long line. I got a couple more autographs. Sherilyn Fenn and Sheryl Lee are here!!! I am going to get pics with them tomorrow. We said hi to Beau and his wife. They told some more stories. Love them! I went to the Buffy panel. It was so cool to see Charisma and James talk about their experiences on the show. Great questions from the audience. I went to the Twin Peaks panel. Mesmerized by Sherilyn and Sheryl. I am a die hard Twin Peaks fan. Words can't begin to describe how happy I was. I got my picture taken with Sherilyn and Sheryl. Sherilyn was really sweet! I said I can't believe it's Audrey Horne! she hugged me! WOW I got my picture taken with Sheryl, she was really nice too. We said bye to Beau and his wife again. Last day at the con, I am so pumped. I got a couple more autographs. I had the most wonderful time, I almost didn't want to leave. If you are in Lexington when the toy con is running, I highly recommend stopping by. Bel tempo!
