I like this drive in. The people working the concessions are always nice and the price of the concessions is really cheap. You can get a burger combo for ~$11, which is great. The funnel cake, chili cheese fries, and burgers are very solid. read more

My husband really, really wanted to see the latest Fast & The Furious movie. We were invited to go see it at a drive-in theater back home but couldn't go because we had a trip to Kentucky planned. Our second night in Kentucky, my husband looked up drive-in theaters, found this one, and insisted that we go. I personally don't care for the Fast & Furious movies, but I absolutely adore drive-in theaters. There's something about drive-in theaters that makes you feel nostalgic for old-time America. It's so classic. I agreed to go and off we went -- winding down open country roads until we ended up at this little gem. When we pulled up, we were told that it was cash only -- so off we went to find an ATM (at a gas station a mile away) and come back with our cash: $7 per person to get in. It's not a bad price considering we pay about $9 each, give or take, to see a film in regular movie theaters. Yet, I prefer per-car charge. Oh well. At least kids ages six-nine are $2 each and children under five get in free of charge. Families: take advantage of this!!! The parking lot wasn't small, but it was filled with cars. I'm guessing this is the place to be around here on a summer night. I kind of felt like I was high school again -- teenagers were everywhere! Many people sat in the back of pick-up trucks. We sat in my little coupe (it was cold outside anyway). The screen was good, the sound was great, the concession stand was cute, the bathroom were decent enough (with doors that don't latch shut), no complaints. It is what it is. What a hidden gem! I've lived in KY, 40 minutes from this place and just learned of it's existence this year when searching for covid safe things to do. Ended up visiting 3x in a couple months span! Great experience all around. Be prepared as it fills up fast and visit concessions early or you may stand in line for half the first movie. read more

My friend and I attended the Bourbon drive in this weekend.The staff was friendly and helpful.the ticket lady gave us a bag to put our trash in.(So nice).I bought the usual movie food from the concession stand.(No wait no line)The popcorn was A+.While I was purchasing my tasty treats,one of the staff ran in to retrieve mini radios for customers who could hear the movie within their vechile.At intermission,we went to the bathroom(clean,well stocked)And again, friendly people.I highly recommend this drive in.Who doesn't love a drive in?Hats off to the Bourbon drive in for working so hard to bring us joy and entertainment at a reasonable price read more

We went to the theaters for the Jurassic World release. had to wait over two hours for the concessions which we missed a majority of the movie for. The attendants were extremely behind and could not service the customers in a timely manner. read more

My wife and I went to the Saturday night double feature and had a wonderful evening. Drive ins are so much fun since you've got you own little comfy (no sticky floors or nasty seats full of old popcorn) viewing room. The concession stand was crazy busy but they've been doing this for sixty years or so and they're as fast as one could expect (I was surprised at their prep time). Food was good though limited to the expected drive in fare. I highly recommend this place for a date or family outing. Employees were very nice and helpful. Patrons were friendly, quiet and not raucous or disruptive. I suppose most folks in bourbon county have been coming here for a long time and know how to behave at such an event. Thumbs up. read more

I'd been wanting to go to the drive in for a long time so I was pretty excited when two movies came in that I really wanted to see. The drive for us is about 30 minutes but we thought it would be worth it. This theatre is cash only so come prepared. Movies are currently $8 for a double feature. Same price if you only come for one. Concessions are decently priced for movie fare and you can get actual food not just popcorn and snacks. So on to my one star review. The reason I give this place such a low score is because of the employees. Well one specifically. We came for a good time and I was left with such a bad impression that I will never go again or recommend this place to anyone I know. I was having an issue with my ignition and wasn't able to turn my key backwards to have the radio in and daytime lights off. So about an hour into the movie an employee comes and beats on my window to tell me I have to turn the lights off. Mind you they are incredibly dim and I have a row of giant trucks in front of me, so I was inconveniencing no one. I tried to explain to the person that I am unable to turn them off and I got nothing but a rude attitude and no assistance whatsoever. So in short I was forced to sit and try to watch the rest of the first feature with no sound. I was so angry after spending nearly $40 on date night with my guy that we left after the first movie. The customer service at this spot was awful and one rude employee ruined this place for me forever. read more

Where can you go for a double feature for $7 a person and not feel like you didn't come away with a great deal. Their layout is very adequate for the space and the patrons appear to be routine moviegoers whol understand the appropriate etiquette for a drive-in. The food was as expected...no tofu here. Their features are up-to-date and current for the last few months at least. We try to get there as often as we can weather permitting and time. read more

The Bourbon Drive-in is a nostalgic step back into the "good ole days." It's a fun time for a lazy summer weekend night. This is a very popular local hang out and it attracts visitors from several surrounding counties. In comparison to the theaters, it's pretty easy on the wallet. Current prices are $7 a person for a double feature. Movies are always up to date brand new releases. The picture is clean and crisp. The sound depends on your vehicle, don't rely on the drive-in speakers. Concessions are fairly priced for a theater and the quality is fine. However, the lines get extremely long. Restrooms are old but are kept relatively clean. Movies start at dusk (roughly 9:30), but plan to arrive 1-2 hours early or else you risk getting a bad spot on the sides or even not getting in at all. The second movie usually wraps up a little after 1:00 am. My tips: bring lawn chairs, get there early, bring some games to keep you and the kids entertained, relax and have a good time. read more

So my family went here for the first time at the beginning of the summer, and with young kids, it has been a lifesaver. We make it a comfy adventure with pillows and fold out chairs and even the food there is decent. We got the story of how Bourbon Drive-In got to where they are and I fell compelled to write them up as an old fashioned family business in a world of corporate fluff. The owners are great people and while they compete with modernizations that continuously attempt to push them outbound, the experience of the drive in is timeless and so much fun. My husband and I drive from Scott county to come here. We both missed the days of drive ins so we were glad to hear that one was still around. Its a great price ($8 per person) for 2 movies. They have all kinds of food, not just popcorn and candy. Staff has been friendly whenever we go. The concession building can get busy so just be aware of that. read more

Went last night for my first time... Two movies playing, payed $7/adult and $4/kid under 10; paid for 4 large popcorns which was $20, for what was about 10 cups each. No explanation given for anything at entrance.. Saw sign about price and radio station to tune to... Had to go to spot in back, which was fine. Had to start car periodically to recharge battery as we had no speaker outside of car near us and gentleman came in truck to tell my children they could not sit on top of my car due to insurance rules. Then we saw no exit signs and went back to entrance to leave, where same lady waives me to opposite side of entrance where there was a permanent bar present so I was trapped. Waited with two cars behind me several minutes with no one entering drive in before she came out and said "you have to go out over there!", pointing to opposite end of drive in lot; I said "there are no exit signs to indicate to go that way," and she said the signs are over by the exit... Doesn't help those in back .... Very loud and curt; never came back out of office; never asked cars behind me to move back; I honked to ask cars behind me to back up... Spent $100 total for one movie (first one ended at 11:15 pm), 6 drinks, 4 popcorns and no speaker, drained battery and rude, tired acting entrance staff. read more

Its been since Jurassic Park 3 since i been to the Drive-In and never been with my wife.I almost second guessed going since i was so tired but we went and it feels like being a part of history with a digital upgrade.The concession stand has a good variety and moderately priced.The service was (very)friendly and pleasant.My only complaint is that i couldnt go in a cool old car and made it back a lot sooner.Very fun and not a bad way to spend a summers night.We hope to start going more often. read more
