Minus 10 stars Not a single person was wearing a mask and I…read moremean the employee that was in there as well. Then the first thing I hear as I had just put my clothes in the washers was another customer talking about a roach crawling out of one of the dryers I'm already thinking wow that's peachy. So being stuck without a washer and dryer at the moment, I have to go ahead and do my laundry. Then when I go back in at 7:10 pm to change my clothes over, there are two women in there one is a customer the other is the lady that works there they proceed to tell me how I should carry my baskets over from the washers to the dryers..... ummm ok? Then the lady that works there starts telling me that I am putting too many clothes in the dryers and that they will never dryer. My response is I do my laundry all the time and I got this. Not sure how it was any of their business how I was doing my laundry then as I start to go back out to the car to wait the lady that works there tells me and I will be closing at a quarter to 9.....one it's 7:20 at this point, two your hours are until 9 and three there is not one sign posted that says that laundry most be dry and out of the facility by 9 little line a quarter til 9. I will most definitely not be coming here again.

I guess this place is also known as Leatherwood Coin Laundry? I liked this place when we first got…read morehere, the machines are half the cost of what we had paid other places. The dryers are kind of older but seem to work ok & if you want extra time, again it's super cheap. But after coming here a couple times I'm starting to not like it. They only have one mega washer (5 loads) & two maxi washers (4 loads) the rest are smaller. So if you need to wash a bed comforter you usually have to wait for a washer. The tops of the washers to put your soap in are all disgusting & look like they haven't been cleaned in who knows how long. One of the 3 load washers has dried up soap inside of it. People are always leaving their trash around & today someone spilled soda & didn't clean it up. I attempted to clean it up with the crappy paper towels they have here but it just pushed the mess around. This place needs a good cleaning & a time up on the dryers. Sadly we will be finding a new laundromat, even though this one is a lot closer.

Spring Cleaning has arrived! This means time to wash a mountain of rugs and bedding. Given that my…read moreduvets and mattress pads probably are too fat to fit into my washing machine, it meant going out to the nearest laundromat and taking advantage of their giant industrial washing machines! I came across Laundry Unlimited, and it's probably the nicest laundromat I've ever been to!!! First of all it's modern, so you don't need to lug around quarters!!! Second, the facility itself was extremely clean, and there was an attendant on site if you needed help. Even walking into the establishment was easy - imagine they have wide sliding doors that automatically open, so you're not having to juggle bags and try to open the door simultaneously! Pricing was a little more expensive than your average laundromat, but in my opinion it was worth it, to be able to do your laundry in a spacious and clean environment. One important thing to note, the laundromats are high tech now! They have touch screen, and it's best to install the Speed Queen App on your phone before coming here. I admit it did take me like 2 minutes to get everything set up. You can add a payment method, then you add funds to the app. There is a vending machine where you can also pay by cash as well. You will need to go into the App and select the Machine number. You can either start by selecting options through your phone or on the touch screen. There are the usual settings and options for Temperature, Washing Type etc. I loved that they had a bedding option! All in all, if I have bulky items for washing, I'm coming here!!!

But of course my washing machine would go on the fritz right after traveling for several weeks and I could not stand all of the dirty clothes in my house. This place is easy to find nice and neat and has a variety of washing machines as small as 20 pounds as Bauer just 80 pounds for very large loads or very bulky items. I really appreciate not having to lug bags of change my laundry as well. Make sure you bring your own laundry detergent and dryer sheets and other supplies because they do not provide or sell those items. The staff was very friendly and help me navigate the machines as I was not familiar with them

To the contrary with this laundromat. The attendant at the time I visited was Latoya. She immediately asked if she could help me. Totally showing me the ropes in a matter of minutes. Evidently, they have moved up into the 21 century. They have all the conveniences. No need for rolls of coins or hoping you have the correct denomination of bills. You now can use your debit/credit card or legal tender to load up a little laundry card, after you do a lil registration of course, (takes about 2 mins). It spits it out and you just use that to Pay and also to tell the system who you are and what machine you are using. Once your wash cycle is done, it will text your phone to let you know which machine has completed its task. Yeahhh, its not in the best of neighborhoods, but I have to say...at no time did I feel concerned or apprehensive for my safety or worried about my vehicle. Plenty of windows, giving you a clear view of the ample parking lot.

A friend of mine introduced me to this laundromat when I needed a place to do my laundry while my…read morewashing machine was being repaired. Never did I imagine that it would be the quality and convenient laundromat that I discovered it was. Located at 1718 Bennington Sreet in the Southeast area of Roanoke, Virginia, it is right next to the Shell Gas Station on the same street which I reasantly reviewed on Yelp. The first thing I noticed was the clean and modern looking brick building painted in gray with tones of blue and white, surrounded by a sidewalk, and with a private lot parking all around it. Its outside building sign beside highlighting the laundromat's name, it made sure to point out that it was "OPEN 24 HOURS," and later I found out the for 7 days a week. I parked my pearl white Lexus on one of the parking spaces on the side of the building and entered through the side entrance. Clearly written on the glass door was their phone number and some of the rules required to use this laundromat. Also there was a notice posted that it had 24 Hour Video and Audio Recording. So one could see that from the very beginning it set the tone for the expected behavior inside. When I entered, I found the place clean and well-maintained, with the latest in modern machines, with many small and large capacity washers and dryers, including a "Hulk" washer for up to 90 lbs of laundry. Another thing that captured my attention immediately was that they no longer used coins. It had a new system of reloadable laundry cards, which you registered and used to pay for the washing and drying of your clothes, as well as for having complimentary access to their restroom if you were a paying customer on that day. It was a little confusing at first, but the instructions for purchasing a card, filling it up with different amounts of money from one of your credit cards, and using the cards in the washers and dryers wear so clear that it became simple and very convenient to use. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and many of the items I am mentioning in my review. To make sure customers registered their cards correctly, they are having a Free Laundry Giveaway where they would be giving away $25 in Laundry Credit to 4 customers every month, and winners would be notified with their registration contact information. The instructions of amounts and how to use the cards were very clear and one could also ask one of the steady customers and they were more than happy to explain. I was there on a Wednesday afternoon around 4 o'clock and there were only two more customers doing their laundry. I was told it gets busier in the evenings and on weekends. Although the place offered a family-friendly environment with amenities such as a soap center, folding tables, seats to wait on, a restroom, a sink outside the restroom, and a play area with movies for children, it lacked Wi-Fi access, TV screens for customers to watch TV while they waited for their clothes to be ready, and I even didn't see too many plugs to be able to charge one's cellphone. On the positive side the lack of the above mentioned open doors to be able to talk and interact with customers. I met one of the cooks for Sidecar Restaurant, one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Roanoke, and was able to find out first hand interesting information about the restaurant and its menu. I was able to wash and dry my 3 loads of clothing very well, and will consider returning here even after my washing machine is repaired at times when I have large loads of clothes to wash or large items such my bed comforter, quilt, mattress protector, throw blanket, or duvet. And I highly recommend this place as a clean, safe, and convenient place to do your laundry.
