Across two floors and over 1,000 square feet of space they have the most amazing antiques and treasures. Sherman's Antiques has been in business for over 25 years selling their own items and leasing space to other vendors. They also do estate sales and offer a doll hospital, restoring treasured dolls from the past. I couldn't believe they actually have a basement which is something you hardly ever see in Florida where the water table is so close to the surface. I had so much fun exploring their furniture, housewares, glassware, clothes, art, jewelry, holiday decorations, collectibles, and so much more. I especially loved the vintage casserole dishes. Prices ranged from a few dollars to the many thousands. How negotiable they are depends on it it belongs to them or a vendor. On the way out I spoke to the friendly owners about their marvelous collection. It is a curated history of the 20th century. If you love antiques the way I do, add this to your Winter Haven shopping list.

The moment I walked in with my friend we were met with eyes. We were interested in all of the beautiful products they had, and had so much fun looking around, but we were being followed the entire time. There was 2 women and a man following us all over the place, staring at everything we picked up. Every time we walked in their direction to ask for help, they would walk away from us. They also intensely stared at us when we got to the jewelry section. I even made eye contact with one of the ladies since her eyes never moved from us. I understand a store owner's reasoning for keeping an eye on customers, but please be mindful of how often you are checking up on them. About 10 mins into our visit, a gentleman came up to us and started to lightly joke about our "boyfriends spoiling us" and speaking about how our boyfriends should treat us and having relationships with them. We started to feel uncomfortable since this gentleman was pressing into our personal life and guiding us towards the register. We did not get a chance to choose anything else to purchase, which is very disappointing since they had such beautiful jewelry options. Since we were specifically looking for bookmarks, I was trying to ask for some help. I asked the gentleman 3 times "Excuse me sir, I have a question." He just continued to ignore me and walked us to the register, while consistently talking about relationships with men. We both felt very uncomfortable and did not enjoy our visit. I do not want to believe that our experience was due to us being Hispanic women, since I want to look at the positive side of our visit. The store had some beautiful items for a high value, and the layout was nice. I hope other customers have a better experience than what we did, and I hope we can have a better experience if we ever do return in the future.

So, after driving past this place for…read morealmost two years without knowing it IS a thrift shop, when we finally realized that it is, we we were excited to stop in. At first glance, parking looks completely stupid. It looks as though there are only two parking spots, frequently taken by the employees. This isn't actually the case, though. But we didn't figure that out until months later. Had we figured it out sooner, we'd have been there more often. Now that we know, we will do just that. There's actually a shared lot to the south of the building; it's easy to miss so keep your eyes open! This is no ordinary thrift shop. They've got the coolest, most iconic goodies from eras past. Being an 80s kid, this little shop is packed full of delights I recognize from those days. Toys, old cameras, collectibles, footwear, memorabilia.... they've even managed to stuff an old VW Beetle inside. Rad. Oh and the vintage clothing! Good gravy, it's everywhere! It's perfect for us, as cosplayers. We've found so many pieces for our cosplays here that we couldn't find anywhere else at way better prices than ordering online. Love this shop! Admittedly, my slight claustrophobia creeps up when inside but that's because this place is SO stuffed full of spectacular vintage goodness. This massive antique mall spans over 18,000 square feet and features around 140 vendor booths filled with gently used items, antiques, and vintage finds. The space is spread across multiple rooms, with vendors offering everything from toys and furniture to home goods, collectibles, tools, and art. No matter what you're into, there's something here to catch your eye. I especially loved the mix of old and new--everything from the contemporary Temptations cookware I love to the vintage Pyrex I adore. One booth even had an incredible wall of Loungefly bags. Being in Central Florida, there's also a great selection of Disney-themed items sprinkled throughout. Be sure to follow the arrows on the floor so you don't miss the hidden upstairs area--it's easy to overlook and totally worth checking out. You could easily spend hours browsing here. There were several rooms of art, home goods, dishes, collectibles, tools, records, toys, holiday decorations, jewelry, furniture, light fixtures, and wonderful smelling candles. There was quite a bit to look at but the aisles are narrow so you have to watch your step. Out back they sell plants. I found a small trinket box in my grandmother's China pattern. While paying I received 20 percent off and the offer of coffee and a slice of carrot cake from the sweet ladies ringing me up. I was delighted them up on their generosity. The great selection, fair pricing, and wonderful customer service makes this lovely shop a must stop in Winter Haven.

It is located in a…read morehistoric art deco building that Publix founder George Jenkins opened on November 8, 1940 as the first modern Publix. There are pictures of how the Publix looked in 1940 on the wall opposite the checkout. Proceeds from the sale of items benefits the parish ministries which give food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless, and clothing and financial assistance to those in need. All items are donated to the church and then sold in the store. i was really surprised how large this store is. There were multiple rooms of home goods, books, sports equipment, art, small electronics, holiday decorations, and clothing. They even had wedding dresses. I especially loved the vintage room as soon as you enter where I found the Pyrex casserole dishes I adore. Also in the front of the store is a religious section with new items.
