There are two owners (husband & wife), & a total of 25 dealers represented here. The owners were away today (7/21/19); the older gentleman (dealer) who replaced them was a sweetheart-- friendly & helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. (Truly a great guy:) There was vintage furniture here, including antique furniture (100 years or older). There were even some really nice primitive pieces, such as a butler's sideboard (see pic). The glass items sold here are beyond reproach-- so many quality glass pieces (such as Fenton) in mint condition. Lots of Roseville & Hull pottery as well. Impressive collection of glassware & pottery at fair prices! Lots of vintage silver jewelry here, along with some 10k, 12k, & 14k pieces. I saw an extensive coin collection, & many vintage dolls & toys, Disney collectibles, as well as camping cookware, vintage tools, vinyl & CD's, mid century glassware, clocks, & lighting. (I could go on & on:) As someone who has spent considerable time antiquing over the years, this is a shoppe I would visit quite often if I lived closer. Definitely the best vintage glass collection (& prices) I've come across anywhere. Gorgeous vases! (What's odd is that I realize now that I took NO pics of all the gorgeous pieces. Lol.) It is just a short walk to the historic Dundee depot museum. After being cheerfully greeted I was left to explore. As I looked around I was impressed with the artful arrangement and staging of furniture, art, and household goods throughout several rooms. Some of my favorite finds were the many vintage Christmas decorations, especially the sweet deer, beautiful furniture, a wreath made out of succulents and flower pots, and the adorable rabbit ornaments that adorned a tree. Prices ranged from just a few dollars to many hundreds. There is so much to see here that brings back memories. Find a one of a kind gift or that perfect piece to finish a room.

Upon entering Southern Gentleman Antiques it became clear the owner definitely appreciates all that visit - after a gracious greeting and invitation to explore every area of the shop he also offered refreshments and made us aware of the public restroom which is rare these days and although I passed on the refreshments I did visit the extremely clean and well maintained restroom I can't say enough about the customer service here. we were encouraged to ask any questions on the merchandise and we were left to explore this beautiful shop at our leisure. There are several rooms full, absolutely stocked full of goodies, and it does not look that roomy on the outside of the store. There are all kinds of old school knick knacks, a ton of really beautiful glassware and themed salt shakers. Of course, your pick of gorgeous and unique furniture, locally made prints of Lakeland and even antique shaving sets. As several people asked just in my one visit, this did used to be the location of "What's New" consignment boutique. But clearly, it is not there anymore because they moved locations. This makes all the difference and honestly makes me come back to see what's new next time I'm in the area. Parking can be found nearby (in front of the Jimmy Johns). I did a couple sound test with one of my new gear was looking for something in particular for my short form film projects. After playing around i found something i recognized from one of my many previous jobs! A train cabin key! Bro these are pricey in online antique forms. I got it for $3.25. I already came up with ways to use it. Both film and i been researching clockwork builds. I love that art form so much. Its heavy on the math and physics. Cant wait to start! I saw something new they had on display. They had a couple of black lights show casing "Sugar glass" the antique glass reacts to the black lights and shine very brightly. If u like unique collections n decor? This would be a great way to collect old glass ware and just display for parties. Or for streamers with cyber punk notes. Kid you not the glass almost looks like a digital vector. Although i played with alot if things? I was happy with the key. I saw something that we both wanted but we dont have room for it. On our way out of the other store someone else bought it. It is the name of the game. The gentleman looked very happy. It was a one of those old school record players built into a table. The people working don't even bother to speak or even look up. I was the only customer in the store. The person working walked past me several times without even a glance. Considering that I never see anyone in the store (and for good reason.)You'd think they would at least try to interact with the few customers that they have. Luckily the shop has nothing that I would have so I don't feel the need to go back.
