We did not stay at Seasons. We only came one Sunday for the Sunday brunch buffet. So this review is for the buffet only. On the plus side: The items on the buffet were really tasty -- fried chicken, mashed potatoes (not from powder), a delicious chicken/white gravy, and those amazing rolls served with apple butter. Oh my goodness, you could seriously just fill a plate with rolls and apple butter and call the meal a success. They're hard to describe, but they're kind of round dinner rolls with a sweet and slightly cinnamon type flavor. They are crunchy on the outside (possibly fried?) and really delicious. Add the apple butter and some butter butter and it's pretty heavenly. There was also a salad bar that was OK but nothing super special. In all, I guess there aren't a ton of options and it's definitely not a buffet for those watching their weight or with dietary restrictions. But what was there was hot, delicious and plentiful. And, like I said, seriously, the biscuits themselves are worth the trip. And at something like $12 a person, it's a pretty decent deal, especially if you go hungry. Would recommend, but advise that people go knowing what to expect. This is not a buffet that will boggle your mind with options. But it will taste good and leave you satisfied. read more

Not sure where the good reviews are coming from but I stayed in the lower part of the hotel and it was like a room where a murder would take place. Actual keys for the door to room so they are way behind times, room looked nothing like pics I saw online...I assure you if they took pics of my dark and dingy room with a crappy little tv screwed to the wall they never would book a room. It just reeks of old mustiness and while on subject of the tv, you best bring a book or tablet cause the crappy reception to the room from some terrible cable connection will drive you mad. The temp to the room was modulated by a switch that states (hot / cold) written in marker on a plate...but doesn't matter cause both do the same thing.....nothing! The actual thermostat is from the 60's...doesn't do a damn thing either. Pillows were made of granite...couldn't even bend them..never had a worse pillow ever... Also seasons staff, don't have a vending machine with perishables in them if it doesn't have refrigeration! Nothing like a liquid kit jar bar..yum! All this for the God awful price of $138 a night!!! My fiancee and I just got back from a weekend trip to the Season's Lodge, and it was a lot of fun. We booked it for Valentine's Day at the last minute, after someone had recommended it as a fun weekend getaway. To start, everyone at the hotel, from restaurant to front desk staff, was incredibly nice. They accommodated any requests we had, and the service was super efficient. The bartender might have been one of the nicest guys we have ever met, and gave us a ton of great tips for what to do while in Nashville. The room was nice and clean, and the housekeeping staff did a great job with prompt service. We upgraded to the 'Romance Package', and it was totally worth it. For $100 we got a dinner for two and breakfast for two at the restaurant (gratuity included, but alcohol not included). We also got a bottle of champagne and some strawberries delivered to the room whenever we wanted. This came with a couple champagne flutes that you could take to a store in town and get engraved for free. It was totally worth it, and I would highly recommend upgrading if you are going as a couple. It was a really great weekend overall, and there is a ton of stuff to enjoy throughout the Nashville area. Definitely recommend for a weekend couples trip. read more

The Seasons Lodge was an unexpected treat. Their website pics do not do the new portion of the lodge justice. Part of the property burned down in 2007, and they rebuilt it. If you stay, specifically request room 4206 and 4207. The rooms are connected, which basically makes them a suite. It's the end unit on the new side of the lodge. The room is perfect. Spacious. Clean. Great amenities (2 wet bars, 2 mini fridges, 1 person shower, full tub/shower, 2 flat-screens.) No jacuzzi tub, but it's big enough for two. Cozy king size bed, but the pillows were hard as rocks. If those adjoining rooms aren't available, just make sure to ask for a room on the newer side of the lodge. They all have either a walk out patio or deck. The older side of the lodge is dated and looks really worn. Would not stay on that side if that was the only option. The deck is at ground level, so you have a walk-out with a view of the valley. Two tables and ample seating. Great pool with a retractable roof. Perfect sundeck and a view of the valley. It's above Rt. 46, but the traffic seemed minimal for a weekend, so we weren't bothered by it. Two aspects to The Seasons that we didn't care for were The Saloon (bar) and the breakfast buffet. The bartender at The Saloon was not friendly, as he didn't seem to like the fact that he was there. No personality. But COLD beer. And the breakfast buffet fell FLAT. The dining room was rustic and cozy, though. And if you're after cheap and convenient, it's worth the $8.95. Overall, out of 10, I would rate the room about a 8.5. Overall experience definitely a 9. We will probably go back in the winter and positively request the same room. read more

We stayed here for the purpose of attending the Emmylou Harris concert (which was unfortunately postponed due to an ice storm). The hotel is located less than a quarter mile from the concert venue, making it a very convenient place to stay for concert goers. We found the hotel to be more than adequate for our stay. our room was well equipped, clean and the beds were comfortable. The folks at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. We felt very comfortable staying there and if we return to Nashville in the future, we will definitely consider staying at the Seasons Lodge. read more

I have to say I was disappointed. I brought a friend to Nashville as a treat and decided to go to The Seasons for what I thought would be a more upscale experience. The rooms were nice, but I have come to expect the blanket to be clean sheeted top and bottom for cleanliness, as I know they aren't washed after each guest. I was also surprised that we were provided only one bar of soap to be moved from sink to shower as needed. And despite having a lovely pool, they provided pool towels that were not much larger than hand towels. Try laying on one of those. We ate at the hotel Resturant which was again not up to our expectation. The Resturant itself was lovely, but it didn't make up for the poor selection and food. I must end however with a positive. The staff themselves were helpful and friendly. It's the little things that make an OK place a great experience. They just missed too many of these little things that added up to a disappointing stay. read more

Older hotel but very clean and comfortable. Room with 2 queen beds larger than normal. Microwave, frig and coffee maker. (Coffee was not very good at all). Clean bathroom. Mattress was fine but pillows like rocks. I did not sleep well. Staff at desk very friendly. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Service was very very slow (with only 3 tables occupied). Food was so-so. Biscuit and gravy - biscuit was almost crunchy. Asked for crispy bacon so they burnt it. Everything else just ok. 1 star off for pillows and 1 off for restaurant. read more

The Seasons Lodge Dining Room - This is one of the best restaurants for the price in Southern Indiana! The dining room is just beautiful. Rustic and elegant at the same time. I think it's the best kept secret in Nashville. The deep fried biscuits are fantastic with apple butter! The salad bar is what separates this place from all others. Sometimes the service is slow but it's a small town with a small staff. Get over it! Good food takes time. The prices are very reasonable! read more

We did not stay here, just met family for a Monday night dinner. The fried chicken was very good, as were the fried rolls. The chocolate cake was only about a 2.5/5 because you could tell it was frozen then microwaved. It fell apart when you touched it, the filling had melted into it and spilled off the plate, (way too much) and got very hard after about 2 minutes. The server was amazing! read more

This place is old. The newer rooms were okay. We has a room with two queen beds. We pulled the covers off and saw a bug on the pillow. Gross! The bedspread was nasty and covered with stains. The other queen bed was fine. When we went to go explore the hotel and go to the pool, we found we were not going swimming. The pool is enclosed in a condensed glass retractable roof ( not working) it was humid and sticky in the pool area and pretty much another couple having sex in the pool was not something we wanted to see. The bar was old and we didn't feel like we were "regulars" enough to go to the saloon. The bathrooms were very nice in the renovated rooms, but probably wouldn't stay here again. read more

My review is of the restaurant only; and, my recommendation is to be careful about eating here on weeknights during their off-season! They don't anticipate much business, so they only have one server working. If they get many customers, especially at the same time; then service will suffer. My entree, and the traditional fried biscuits were great! But, they placed a side on the plate that they called "California medley." It looked as unappealing as anything I have ever seen on a plate, and it wasn't even warm. So, I would recommend visiting on the weekends when they are better staffed, and prepared. read more

We come on Sunday for the lunch buffets. The food is usually pretty good. They almost always have fried chicken, mashed potatoes, fried biscuits and then some other side items and desserts. Make sure you check the board before you go in on a holiday. They tend to double the price, it should only be about $11.95 with the drink included for all you can eat per person. read more

Disappointing is the best I can offer. Must have been a perfect storm. Check in: keys not programmed for the room and fridge broken. Wanted dessert for dinner - horrible from onsite restaurant! Old, dry, poor quality all around. Woke to no hot water- that was eye opening...ugh. Brought to front desk attention and was told that we could have a small credit or "there's probably another room available in town". "Dont know if or when the water situation will get fixed". Late day notice of no heat, too! We visit regularly and will not be back to the Seasons Lodge, for pleasure or business. The size of the room was nice but doesn't make up for a hotel without heat and hot water. read more

I have stayed here for a weekend the last two Decembers. Both times I have been placed in the old part of the hotel yet charged the same price as the new part. Pray you do not have to attend an event here as the staff is cold and demeaning- especially the Male staff. If you have special dietary needs kiss your enjoyable meeting/event goodbye. read more

The season's is very nice. The newer rooms are a huge step up from the older side of the hotel but the older side rooms aren't bad. I like to stay at the Season's because it has a restaurant inside the hotel, a game room and pool. Let's face it by 6:00 PM there isn't much open in Nashville so I feel the Season's offers much more than the other hotels I've tried in town. If I recall they gave me tickets to ride the trolley into town. read more

Took my entire family for a Mother's Day celebration on a Friday night. The service was horrible. Had to get my own coffee. The prices are way too high for their food quantity and quality. The only word I can think for the food is "gross". We all left there and went to McDonald's because we were still hungry. Never again. read more
