I love the Bay blankets and the connection to the Hudson's Bay Company. It's hard to believe that the Bay is gone now, but seeing these historical pieces reminds you of its beginnings. It's a beautiful place to spend a day learning a little history, and enjoying the feeling of a small, old-fashioned town. It is definitely worth visiting if you love history, charming old places, and getting a glimpse into the early days of BC.

They also have a parking lot that fits around 25 cars, which is helpful, plus a gift shop where you can check out lavender-themed items. I also tried the lavender ice cream, and it was delicious and refreshing after walking around the field. When I visited, the candle-making activity was not open yet, but I heard it will be available in July, which sounds like another fun reason to come back. Overall, it was a beautiful and calming experience. I'm glad I visited, and I would recommend checking it out if you love lavender, scenic views, and peaceful outdoor places.

They have a train that takes you to the fields too. They have all different heights of sunflowers and we went during golden hour and it was not very crowded and it was easy to get some great photos. They have a U-Pick area where you can choose the best sunflower to take home. They also have very well kept gardens with other flowers! This far exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend to other!

At the time of visit, admission was free for the day - yay! Having been to Tsukiji Fish Market in Japan, I was pretty excited to see how this cannery developed and to learn more about the industry. There are many exhibits on site to learn about the history of cannery and some interactive exhibits to understand what the daily life of a fisherman might have been like - fun photo opportunities to say the least. There are guided tours and events, too, so make sure to do some research beforehand if interested! After visiting the cannery, there's a little gift shop with souvenirs for purchase - highly recommend a stop here! Of course, no Canadian museum is complete without an acknowledgement of the impact of colonialism and New Westminster's exhibits include statements and context that recognize it. The museum displays artifacts pertaining to the history of New Westminster, and currently, there is a neat exhibit of the city of New Westminster made entirely out of Lego.
