Be sure that everything is up to snuff on your wedding day as flowers are delivered! Our corsages were too little to wear and flowers fell off boutonnieres and corsages. They simply would not live up to their hundred percent satisfaction guarantee because I didn't immediately call BEFORE the problem could've been noticed. Have tried and tried to work with this merchant put in a dispute with American Express and they refunded my money, but then they charged it back to me because the merchant said that flowers can wilt. It wasn't about the wilting of the flowers, although that did happen. It was about the craftsmanship. read more

Had had high hopes for the order I placed. When I saw it I was immensely disappointed. Although my mother really appreciated it she knew instantly there's no way I would've ordered something would look like this. I contacted the owner and for a moment it seemed like she was going to work with me and then suddenly ceased all communication when I sent her multiple pictures of the arrangement. I've then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau at which point she never responded to them. I will now be disputing the charge with my credit card because I was not provided the item I paid for. I hope anyone else that had an issue with their order also files with the Better Business Bureau maybe eventually she'll acknowledge her terrible product. read more

Longggg time no see Yelp, but here is a doozy. On April 28, 2020 I decided to be a great niece and order a bouquet of flowers for my aunt in Kentucky. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I decided to be intentional when making my purchases this go around. I decided to utilize Yelp and find a small local business to fulfill my order. As an out of towner I looked for the florist with the best reviews, and THE SECRET GARDEN won! Next I was obliged to go scrolling through a long list of floral arrangement images to find the perfect bouquet. My aunt has been my rock and since she has lost her own mother, Mother's Day has become a harder holiday to swallow. So once I found the "Honey Bee Farms Daisy- Large with Honey" bouquet I knew it was the one. This arrangement was advertised to come with a 3 oz jar of Tupelo honey from the Savannah Bee Company. I'm a Savannah girl so this bouquet meant a lot. It was like sending a piece of myself to my aunt. As if I were physically there with her. I made my purchase ($56.70) and I went on my way. Proud that I wasn't scrabbling like many other holidays. Lol On 5/8/2020 i received a very emotional phone call from my aunt. Enthusiastic and happy that an unknown present was waiting for her at her door. When we got off the phone I found pictures of the alleged floral arrangement. The exterior had some form of felt bee hugging the vase and in the middle of the arrangement was a 12 oz plastic jar of Kroger brand Honey Clover honey. This is of no disrespect to the Kroger brand company, because that is actually my grocery store of choice. However, that is not was I envisioned. When you simply compare the prices of the two their is a huge discrepancy. A 3 oz jar of honey from Savannah Bee company is $7.50 and the 12 oz jar from Kroger is $3.99. Definitely not the same. So as a good shopper I check my phone, voicemail, and email to look for some form of communication letting me know my item was truly delivered and/or there were modifications to my order due to the virus. And there was nothing. The morning of 5/9/2020 I decided to call The Secret Garden to inquire about the change. A bright voice initially answered the phone, but the conversation soon turned dismissive. I'm not sure if I spoke to Jackie or Janice but regardless it was a complete disappointment. I was told that there was nothing she could do, that the products were of equal value, that she had more orders of higher importance, that I should have wrote in the notes that the honey was important (which I never knew you had to specify that you required a specific item that is advertised) and I was hung up on. My only request was to receive some sort of notification on the change, to have received a local brand of honey, and/or receive the modification clause from their website (which doesn't exist). Nothing was offered and I was rushed off the phone. Left with a false promise of a follow up call before I was hung up on. When I called back to get the name of the young lady there was no answer. Overall I give this company a B for timeliness. The delivery was delivered on the expect day. They should receive a D for delivery. No email notification or text letting me know my item had been delivered. And a F for customer service and quality. This company prides themselves winning top rated online florist and couples choice winner awards. However my interact was cold and it lacked empathy. read more

My husband ordered a large bouquet for my wedding anniversary. $260. 32 large calla lilies and 12 red roses. The bulk was small lilies but that is fine. But by the next morning some of the lilies were on the table dead. The next day followed with more. By day 5 all my calla lilies were dying and the roses wilted and not close to open. I have had some lovely bouquets from them in the past but since this one did not last a day I will never waste that kind of money on this store and stick to better florists. Huge disappointment. Hoping the 32 wilted flowers do not represent my 32 years of marriage LOL. read more

Ordered an arrangement listed on their website in the photo below, Winter Moonlight Bouquet for 49.99. Asked Janet specifically if they had the exact roses. Janet stated she did. I placed the order. Once the order arrived it looked nothing like the photo. I sent Janet photos of the arrangement that arrived. She stated substitutions were made and that it was only short one rose and what I call lavender roses they call pink-purple. She should have told while placing my order she didn't have the flowers shown on her website. She offered to pick up the flowers they delivered and refund my money for my grandmothers 100 Birthday. My grandmother who has no idea she got something I didn't order and next a knock at the door, "I'm here to pick up the flowers we didn't make correctly!" Janet offered this to solve their lack of fulfilling the order correctly because who would want the flowers to be picked up after the recipient already has them?!?! She then offered to give me $2.50 refund for the one rose missing. Vase wasn't even the same! Very unprofessional, defensive and brash. Kids screaming in background in all three phone calls while placing order and then try to dispute order!!!Buyer beware....if you order over the phone from the photo off their website what you think you are ordering is completely different! I understand to substitute some items but it looked absolutely nothing like the image of what I ordered!! I would never ever do business with this unprofessional florist. I explained I would be writing a Yelp review and she said..." Go ahead write your review you aren't getting any money back from me and hung up! read more

I used the Secret Garden as the florist for my wedding and could not have been happier with how my flowers turned out. We ended up ordering two large arrangements for the ceremony, plus a dozen loose roses as a memorial for our grandparents who had passed. We ordered a bridal bouquet, maid of honor bouquet and four bridesmaid bouquets as well as a boutonniere for the groom, and 10 additional for groomsmen, pastor, ushers, etc... We also ordered corsages for our mothers and grandmothers. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. We used several varieties of roses, stephanotis (with jewels in the center), ferns that mimicked fir branches, wax flower and other bits of greenery for the bouquets. The large arrangements were similar to the bouquets but on a much larger, grander scale. The price is also just right at Secret Garden. They are very affordable. It almost seemed like we were getting wholesale pricing which was really awesome. When we booked Secret Garden, we met with a floral designer who went over our options with us, showed us a lot of different books/inspirational ideas and worked with us to create the exact vision we wanted for our flowers. It was great, top-notch service. It was so great that since my 2007 wedding, i've exclusively used Secret Garden for any other floral needs I have. In fact, I'll be booking them again for my upcoming baby shower :) read more

Great florist with the best people working there. They actually care about what they do and aren't afraid of customizing your order. The flowers are as fresh as anywhere. The only thing that got a 4 star instead of 5 is that they are also a wholesaler and the feel you get when going in to the store is much more warehouse and much less retail. Secret Garden is absolutely HORRIBLE. The way they run their business is digraceful. I ordered white flowers for my wedding, share multiple photos of exactly what I wanted and what I received the morning of my wedding were yellow flowers mixed with brown dead flowers and bridesmaid bouquets smaller than what a flower girl arrangement should be. Their delivery driver was the biggest jerk I have ever met, who threatened me on my wedding day. And Janet the owner hung up on us. They did nothing to make the situation right and I was without flowers on my wedding day because of them. I have absolutely nothing good to say about this place. Go somewhere else! read more

I live in Los Angeles and due to the time difference, I ended up calling Secret Garden yesterday 5 minutes before closing. A lady named Hannah answered and was super nice and helpful. She didn't rush me at all. I mentioned that I was from LA but wanted to send my cousin in KY some sympathy flowers. I gave her a brief idea of what I wanted and left it in their hands. I asked if she would be able to send me a picture of the flowers so I could have an idea of what they looked like. Sure enough this morning I received a text from them with a picture of the beautiful flowers. There was a little bit of a mix up but Hannah called me right away to straighten it out and the flowers were delivered in a prompt manner. My cousin absolutely loved them and said how beautiful they are. Although I don't live in KY, I will be recommending them to my family in that area. The friendly staff helped me every step of the way to ensure I got the right plant and the right sympathy statement piece. They made the arrangement fit for cause by wrapping it with a white bow for no extra charge. All in all- wonderful experience, great customer service, and a friendly atmosphere. Anyone thinking of using this floral shop for wedding bouquets should consider looking elsewhere. We met with them 4 months before my daughters wedding and shared photos of what we wanted the bouquets to look like... we wanted all white flowers, no greenery. They suggested white garden roses mixed with a few regular roses, orchids, and we added a few mimi calla lilies. They suggested to stay away from Hydrangeas because they wilt easily. Nothing was mentioned of the garden roses having yellow centers. They are the professionals and should have advised us correctly when we wanted ALL white flowers. On the day of the wedding, the bouquets arrive looking very small, the orchids were dead, and mostly garden roses with yellow centers...the bouquets were more yellow than white...the bridesmaids bouquets were so small and they looked so cheap and we spent a lot of money on them. After calling the shop and speaking with Janet several times, she ends up saying they could change them for an upcharge and when we refused, she hung up on us. then the delivery man threatened my daughter, threw his hands up in the air, said the flowers are yours, and walked out. Not sure how this place is still in business if that is the way they treat their customers when there is a problem. Esp. a bride on her wedding day!...We took apart all bouquets, used the white roses and calla lilies, added hydrangeas from the table centerpieces just so they had something to hold walking down the aisle. I have given the florist two times to make this right. The flowers for my son and daughter in laws wedding arrived in terrible shape. I gave florist opportunity to come back to our location and make the flowers presentable for the wedding at which they declined. I also sent them an email on Tuesday giving them the opportunity to refund us for the bridal bouquet (pictures I would be happy to share before anyone considers doing business with this company) as well as refund for the bridesmaids bouquet which we had to take apart to try to fix the bride's flowers. We also could not use the cake flowers. As of today, we have not gotten a response so now I am on a mission to make sure everyone is aware to not cause undo stress by ordering flowers for your big day through The Secret Garden. read more

I ordered a plant online to be delivered to a funeral. The plant was listed as small so I thought it would be table sized. Imagine my surprise when I saw that it was a large floor planter. What a wonderful florist. I would definitely do business with them again. In fact, from now on I am going to get all my flowers through no one but them. The Secret Garden did the flowers for my niece's wedding in April of 2014. They were fabulous! Everything was gorgeous, perfect and reasonably priced. At the last minute, we had a glitch with having to add one more table for the reception and we had no floral arrangement. They were amazing - created one additional arrangement for us within an hour and we were able to have a friend pick up and bring to the hotel.
