Bare walls and no trendy decor. This ain't Holt Renfrew. The shoe selection isn't the world's largest, but it's somewhat decent. They seem to carry mostly runners, though there's a bit of everything. I found what I was looking for, in the style and colour I wanted, at a good price. Sometimes 2 similar pairs of shoes will have 2 different discount rates. A bit of negotiation helps here. A cute tiny boutique that boasts a selection of shoes and boots that all look to be high in quality and fashionable at the same time. The whole experience from start to finish was great! Kim was working that day, and she went above and beyond to find the pair of boots in my size. There were a few other customers in the shop and she had such a wealth of knowledge and helped them find the pairs of shoes that worked best for them. It was a joy to watch her in action. It's very clean, organized and well lit. They have rows upon rows of shoes- one on display with price, with all the sizes directly below. There really wasn't much in the Clearance section, but I did manage to find 2 pairs of shoes I liked. After trying them both on, I decided on some cute Sketches Platform wedges. Staff wasn't overbearing, but polite and friendly. When I was checking out- they asked me about the VIP program. I wasn't a member, so I was quickly signed up. This turned out to be a good thing, when a few months later, I ordered my husband shoes on the website. Not only was their price lower then anywhere else for the same shoes ( Converse high tops) but it also gave me free shipping, and points. Even though the website said that the boots were in stock at the stores, the information was plain ass wrong. None of the shops actually had the boots in her size. A sales person at this location was quite honest, she said; "The inventory system is not very good. I show on my store data base that the shoes are in stock here, but they are not. They are in stock at the store on Robson street." We walked to that store. The boots were not in stock there as well. 2 Yelp stars for giving Bambie and me a time wasting run around. Funny aside - I was wearing my high top Aldo sneakers while we did all the walking between the stores. I got mine at a Nordstrom rack in California. I paid 70% less for them there than the Aldo store price.
