That is not to say that a new shooter cant be involved, it is just going to take more than a gun and some ammo to get started. The "club" is open for anyone to become a member, but one must complete a intensive safety briefing and learn the rules and requirements of the range. This might seem like a bit of a hassle to do before you can shoot, but shooting next to someone who you know has the appropriate training also is well worth the time and effort. I brought my Mother into this shop to get a concealed weapon and it turned out to be the worst…read morebuying experience of our lives. I won't bore you with some long drawn out story, so I'll bullet the highlights: * The person holding the license to sell weapons from T & C Rifle and Gun Shop sold my Mom a used Barretta. * The next day, before it was ever fired by my Mom or me, we saw it was broken (cracked all the way through the frame just about the trigger). * I contacted T & C Rifle and Gun Shop the next day to say my Mom didn't want the gun. * The license carrier/store operator told us she had no time for us and to come in the next week. I told her the gun was broken and she repeated she had no time for us and to come back in a little over a week (added more time here and did she really know it was broken and trying to trick us???). * Me and my Mom went in the next time she was open and argued the broken gun. * The seller told us she didn't know it was broken and doesn't test used weapons (so buyer beware and think about buying anything used from her!!!!) * I asked for a refund and was denied (????) * We argued more. * She said if we didn't come back in over a week, we'd come out with nothing (?????) and demanded we trade for another weapon from her at a later date (????). * She traded up for a more expensive weapon later that month. * My Mom had to pay for another back ground check and wait more time. Moral of story....ask around for a reputable gun dealer and listen to your friends. We thought we were helping out a small business owned by a woman. She raked us over the coals and tortured us for close to four weeks ! Be very careful when you buy anything in T&C Rifle and Gun Shop.
