I stopped into The Shop At NBC Studios after going to a taping of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in December 2025. The shop has all different kinds of apparel, books, and other memorabilia, but it is all absurdly overpriced. I wanted something to commemorate attending the show and I cringed at the price but I bought a Christmas tree ornament. If you are a super fan of NBC, maybe this is a place you want to check out, just be prepared to open up your wallet. read more

Merchandise is minimal. Biggest compliant is rude employees telling people that can't sit when there are NO seating options while waiting for tours. A couple of benches for ticket holders in the existing large empty and open area is a no brainer and should be considered (specially for older people or others with physical limitations). Could not contact anyone directly as they only allow you to email them and they send a short message saying they received your emailj...then a day later and I am wondering will they reply? We would like to get our order replaced and hope that whoever they are using to pack them can use a better method of shipping but there is no way of knowing if or what they are going to do. I did not visit the Shop at NBC Studios in person. Instead, I ordered merchandise from their website. NBC's website sells clothing, accessories, and home goods that are licensed for dozens of NBC shows such as The Office, Saved by the Bell, SNL, Parks and Recreation, Seinfeld, and Friends. My husband really likes the show The Office, and on NBC's website, I found two t-shirts in different colors in my husband's size. I used a coupon to receive a discount on the t-shirts. Unfortunately, I had to pay $15 for shipping and handling. On the next day, NBC shipped my package with tracking, and four days later, the USPS delivered the package to my house. Definitely a tourist trap with high prices but there is some cool merchandise from some of your favorite shows. I mainly wanted to come in to view all the classic SNL pictures and merchandise along with viewing the Jimmy Fallon items as well. The store is located on some prime real estate in NYC on the Avenue of the Americas. Nearby is Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Times Square, and St. Patricks Cathedral. It is a gorgeous building but then what building isn't in NYC? The store feature items from This Is Us, Friends, SNL, The Office, Jimmy Fallon, The Voice, Seinfeld, 30 Rock and other NBC shows. You can get overwhelmed and think you need to buy so much stuff, but take your time and you will discover that you only need a few items if that. We were too late to complete a tour and I was kinda bummed that Jimmy Fallon was not taping the week we were in NYC, but we still managed to amuse ourselves with the store. The staff were somewhat friendly but not over the top. I ended up purchasing my hubby some "Thank You" cards from the Late Night Jimmy Fallon show, a magnet and a couple of SNL pins for posterity. We are both huge fans of Fallon's show and love Friday nights as this is when Jimmy pulls out his Thank you cards! With the Yelp check in, I saved an additional percentage off. Local New Yorker here (not a tourist!) that stopped by the store about a month ago to do some holiday shopping & pick up some "This Is Us" merch for my friends. Thankfully they were super stocked up and I found everything that I needed -- a few Pearson jerseys and a nice mug. There were lots of mugs on display, but unfortunately they were all dusty/dirty... It was a busy morning so when I tried looking around for an associate, they were nowhere to be found. I was also in a bit of a rush to head to work, so I figured I'd just wash out the mug before I gifted it... I don't think I should have to do that but it's whatever, I didn't mind that much. I had planned on using the 10% discount you get from checking in on Yelp, but when I showed it to the cashier person he was very confused as it was clearly his first time seeing/hearing about this. He asked his colleagues about it, and no one knew how to apply the discount. He was kind enough to just quickly scan one of the Today Show 10% discounts that he had on hand which I greatly appreciated. But just a suggestion to management - keep your employees in the loop about this offer! They lightly joked about never being told anything... but were great sports about it. Again very thankful! I purchased an Alex Wagoner cup 6 months ago. Recently the cup is beginning to crack and presently has two cracks along the upper part. I wrote an email to NBC about the issue and they said that because the cup was in good shape when they shipped it; they cannot replace it due to normal wear and tear. I have other cups for years that are still in great like new shape. I would recommend that people not purchase any items from the NBC store as they do not stand behind their products. read more

Visited the gift shop while walking around rockefeller a few days ago. It was not busy at all and had a decent selection of souvenirs to choose from- most options for SNL and Jimmy Fallon's show. Coolest stuff. All these years and I never visited. Must see if you're a fan of NBC. I am. They have a lot of security and sales staff none of which are intimidating or aggravating. The building housing the store is one of the most beautiful I visit. As you enter on Sixth which is Avenue of the Americas look at the space all around you and above. Beautiful artwork. You are near Radio City Music Hall and Magnolia Bakery. It's a tourist paradise. St. Patrick's and much more to see. While you're here buy your NBC souvenirs. There was so much to see in the store I need to return. The subway entrance is right outside the door. I was on my way home when I decided to go in. I'll be back! read more

This is like walking through a portal to the past (in some cases). Greeters at the door are very welcoming and find out if you want to get signed up for a tour. As you walk through the shop you'll find merchandise from some of the biggest NBC hits throughout history. Friends (my personal favorite), Seinfeld, SNL, Late Night and many, many more. If you know a fan of one of the shows you should check thus place out for some unique items you won't find anywhere else. Keep in mind this is NYC as you look at the prices, they aren't cheap by any stretch. But, good value if you want a unique collectible. "I've got news for you, you suck!" I don't watch much network TV. I know "30 Rock" is supposed to be good...and "The Office" is funny, right? But when I was between jobs (ahem), I did like "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" before he got promoted to "The Tonight Show"...well, at least sometimes. "Oh Yes, Oh Yes, Ohhhh...Yes." When Jamie W. and I were in New York, we came in here because he actually does watch NBC. As a tolerant travel companion, I ended up browsing through this chockfull-o'nonsense store rather indifferently until I saw this little gadget called "Triumph in Your Pocket" (see the photo). 'You're a great friend...for me to poop on!" Oh, I "love" that nasty canine...well, maybe I just like his cajones, figuratively speaking, ever since he tried to hump the winner of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Recently, he was on the red carpet at the Tony Awards where he proclaimed he was seeing "A Who's Who of Who Cares". Priceless. "Please, let me sniff your butt!" He actually pleaded with J-Lo for that honor because "for a dog, it's like climbing Mt. Everest". Anyway, for $10, I got a little yellow doo-hickey with a key ring and six blue buttons. Each button you press lets you hear Triumph's distinctively guttural Eastern European voice shout out one of his trademark remarks in true Tourette's style. I couldn't help it...I got two just for fun. "I like you, but then again I eat my own crap." Anyhow, the store has all the merchandise you could possibly want emblazoned with show logos and characters from pretty much every NBC show past and present. Go crazy if you're into that stuff. Me? I ended up only getting two things, a Friends dad cap and a pin of Monica's door. /: I really wanted a Central Perk mug because I am an avid coffee drinker and collet coffee mugs when I travel but I could not justify paying $26 for a mug. ): I wish things were a bit cheaper so I could have bought more BUT I rather support the actual NBC studio than get an off brand stuff cheaper elsewhere. I think it's all just because I'm such a groupie fan about some NBC shows that this store has value for me. They have a fair amount of things on sale at any particular time as well so that also works to my advantage (woo hoo sales!) This store is located on basically the first floor of the Rockefeller Center and has an ESPN store inside of it as well. They have everything from t-shirts and mugs to DVDs, CDs and keychains ... everything you can think of from your favorite show. My absolute favorite items are bobble heads and they definitely satisfied that craving with a ton of bobble heads of all characters of NBC shows. I recommend this as a stop by visit for sure especially if you're already in the area. read more

The NBC Experience Store can be interesting, if you care about current or past NBC TV shows. I've been here twice. The first time was over two years ago and I had a lot of fun browsing The Office and 30 Rock souvenirs, shirts and mugs. It's a mildly interesting store if you care about network TV. My visit today was less impressive. Most of the inventory was focused around Friends and the Today show. Yawn! If you're around Rockefeller Center, it might be worth popping in and taking a lap. I love shopping and I LOVE TV so it's not surprising that I heart the NBC Store. More than Mexx and Pearl River Mart , this is the store I come to when I visit New York. Since I had just gotten out of Late Night with Conan O' Brien where John Krazinski was the guest, I was amped to see some Krazinski krappola. This last visit I found a life size cardboard cut-out of Matt Laurer. Let's just say we photographed ourselves doing inappropriate things to him. Other highlights of the store: -Christmas ornaments from Friends, The Office, and My Name Is Earl (I love TV show ornaments and wanted to buy these - $10?! - but the packaging was too big and I didn't want to carry them around) -MILF Island T-shirt from 30 Rock -Shirt from The Office that showed pictograms that translated to Schrute Bucks : Stanley Nickels :: Unicorns : Leprechauns -SNL More Cowbell shirt (still funny but so 2004) -Pale Force Shirts (with "My Pretty Conan") Generally things need to be made a lot more kitschy for the store. They should sell random stuff mentioned in individual episodes. The Office merchandise sets the best example, selling Dwight bobbleheads, Jan's serenity candles, and the aforementioned t-shirt (as well as a Scrantonicity one). Friends on the other hand just sticks the cast picture or show logo on everything (bo-ring!). And please no more Smelly Cat. That's so 1997. read more

Huge tourist trap for visiting tourists who love NBC shows - yes, I was a tourist, but didn't get sucked in. :D Like Stephanie, they're a bit pricey for what it is, but you got to take into account what they have to possibly pay in royalties & such. They do carry a lot of merchandise from past & present shows. It's worth checking out, if for nothing else but to just browse. However I have to admit it is a bit pricey for what it is and the duration of the tour is too short. Some people would say they are making easy money and that this is a tourist trap but it is also a piece of television history so go ahead if you wanna check it out. Ohhh yeah! I've been a Seinfeld fan since the first season, and an SNL fan since.. well forever. I felt like a child in a candy store rifling through merchandise from my favorite TV-shows. The selection is somewhat limited, but still great if you want to find a few collectibles from your favorite NBC produced show. They stock, as I meantioned, collectibles and t-shirts from classics like Seinfeld, as well as currently running shows. If you show up at the right time, you maght even be offered stand-by tickets for SNL - and I guess other shows as well. This caught us by surprise, as they were about to do the SNL rehersals, and we were offered standby tickets. We didn't get in though, but just standing in line, and holding that ticket in my hand must have taken away 10 years of my life. All those feelings and the physical stress my body went though... I would do it again, though! Friendly and helpful staff is always a welcome experience, and I felt like an important customer, even though I almost had a heart attack when we were given those tickets. Cute if you're a fan of NBC shows and in the area. That being said, I live in New York, have worked in Manhattan, and of course have been in the city countless times, but just yesterday was the first time I've ever ventured inside this place (though I've been to Rockerfeller Center more than enough times over the years). The merchandise inside of the various shows (from Friends, to The Office, to SNL and so on) are obviously priced very high and in a lot of case, too high from what they're really worth. From what some of the reviews have said on here, it's a tourist trap in getting them to spend money on stuff they don't really need. Being a fan of the Office, I saw the Dundler Miflin warehouse shirt for $50 - yet on it's very own website, it's offered at $35 not including shipping and handling. This of course is nothing new. There's not a whole lot of nostalgia inside as I would've thought, but certainly if you've never been here, it's worth a walk through at least one time to say you did it - which is what I did. I didn't take part in the tour or anything like that......just walked inside, looked around and left. Honestly, I don't care for the tour or the observation deck, but of course out of town tourists are going to want to try that. If you're not from the area and visiting for the first time, I would suggest not buying impulsively, because you can get the very same items cheaper online. As much as an Office fan as I am, I decided not to spend $12 on an Office Sign that I really don't need. Manhattan is overly expensive as it is and when you add a specialty store like this, you're going to be spending a lot more than you should on something you don't need. I love this store! This is where I got my very own Bayside High t-shirt that is so comfy for going to bed in (from Saved by the Bell). This store is filled with every thing you want as a fan of all their amazing shows. However, the only downfall is it is a bit pricey (my friends wouldn't let me splurge on the matching sweatshirt). Before I took the tour of the studios I had some time to visit the gift shop. My online ticket entitled me to 10% off my purchase which does come in handy. They sell items from the Today show, the Tonight show, along with a few classic episodes. In this case they had Seinfeld and Friends. They had leftovers from the Rio Olympics but if you want the NBC logo Tee that's there too. What I really found interesting in the shop was the mockup sets they had for the Today show and the voice. They also had an old fashioned microphone from radio days and an old style TV camera. I found it worthwhile looking at some of the photography they have near the mall entrance. One featured Clark Gable chatting with Edger Bergen along with his puppet Charlie McCarthy. I only wished they had more merchandise featuring the classic days of Television since many of those shows started in NY. For example I loved the Tonight show when it starred the late Johnny Carson. However, I guess they need to stay up with the times. Expect to pay more as it is a tourist shop but as I said the 10% coupon does help. I ended up with a Seinfeld teeshirt. read more

This store is great for any NBC fan! You can find pretty much anything you might want from classic and current NBC shows. In addition to this, there are many interactive activities from NBC reality shows such as a giant X and buzzer from America's Got Talent, the "I Want You" big red chair from The Voice, etc. The only problem with the store is the prices. Of course, all prices for souvenirs are inflated. Expect to pay double what you would normally pay for a t-shirt, mug, keychain, etc. But, there is a good selection of merchandise so if you are willing to spend the money, this store is great for you. read more

(Booo on NBC and Itunes for removing my favorite shows, and yay to HBO for letting me enjoy "Sex & The City" on my ipod! Anywho... My favorite is "The Office," because I lived and breathed that environment in a past life. Like NYC people suggested, I randomly "stumbled' on the NBC store while looking for a bathroom. Strolling through Rockefeller center, I suddenly saw Steve Carrell-YES I SAW HIM.... on a billboard though, and I did take a picture. It was early on Sunday, and I swear people don't sleep. It was so busy in the morning, you would swear this place was giving away free hotcakes or something. Either way, I maneuvered through the FANATICS(not like I am one) to "The Office" section. I saw a bunch of cute shirts and memorabilia. Magnets, shirts, glasses, and bobble heads of DWIGHT, tantalized me with sale prices. Sadly, some of the more popular sizes were gone, and I couldn't really fit this all in my bag. Line was out of control, but I waited patiently to procure some of my goober items. If you want anything NBC show, then this is the place to go. Sure you could buy stuff on the website, but what fun is that now? This is an awesome place to purchase an NBC umbrella for approximately 9ish dollars when a goddamn deluge begins outside! Make sure your homegirl buys one too, so later, when you're wandering around the Lower East Side, people will see your matching umbrellas and give you shit. "hey y'all we're tourists!!!" we liked it. I walked through this area years ago when I attended many NBC tv shows or just had job interviews in the area and nothing much else to do for the rest of the day. There are many keepsakes like T-Shirts, keychains, bags and stuff from your favorite NBC tv shows. I think if you love the NBC network you should come check it out, tourist or no-tourist. They also give out tickets to Jimmy Fallon Show (standby) in the morning and throughout the day if they have any left. Right in the Rockefeller Center area to check out all the sights.
