The moment Keith stepped in our house and took his shoes off, I immediately liked him. We had four rooms with 9 windows we were looking to get plantation shutters in. That was all we knew about shutters at that point. Keith was very in depth sharing his knowledge, background, and even going as far as talking about what I should expect from competitors in the area. They're the only independent guy left, American made, faster turn around even though it was shutter season when we were getting the quote (didn't know there was such a thing!) He was very precise and wasn't afraid to share his thoughts on what would look good in the house. Luckily, we thought alike so everything he recommended was exactly what I was looking for. Communication was amazing too! Erin was a delight from the first phone call setting up the first meeting at the house, updates for scheduling installation, payment, and even getting a quote WITHIN THE HOUR AFTER KEITH CAME TO THE HOUSE?? UNHEARD OF. BRAVO. Very outstanding company. There was a hiccup in the factory but they got everything fixed in a timely manner. I really appreciated the day they came back it was raining so they brought in a ton of runners so they wouldn't track water or dirt into the house. They wiped everything down and vacuumed! The team that came out was so nice, the turn around was faster than expected. My fiancé and I are so happy with their work and love that it's increased the value of our home. Every time we walk into the house or are just relaxing, I admittedly will just scream out I LOVE OUR HOUSE! I would also like to mention that I did get another bid from their competitor who 1. took longer 2. didn't give much education after I had said I had never owned shutters before 3. tracked dirt around the house with their shoes on 4. and the quote I received was $4000 MORE THAN THE SHUTTER GUY and LONGER turn around time!! We love our shutters! We purchased our first set of shutters from The Shutter Guy around 8 years ago and loved them! When we moved into our new house this past December, we knew we had to have the same shutters again and didn't even consider going to anyone else other than The Shutter Guy. Their customer service, professionalism and the quality of their shutters were outstanding, from the initial call to request a quote to the final installation. We could not afford plantation shutters when we built our new home 8 years ago. We finally decided to replace all of our blinds this year. Erin and Dwight provided excellent customer service. Erin scheduled the in home quote right away I sent an inquiry. Dwight was on-time and very professional for the quote and the installation. He provided excellent information about the options available to us. They were upfront about the amount of time for production and installed promptly as soon as the shutters came in. The install was very quick and the shutters look amazing. They are very energy efficient, as well. I highly recommend the shutter guy if you are looking into plantation shutters. We had five different companies come out and give us a bid on installing shutters for 23 windows and a set of French doors. Keith the owner came himself with his son. He was so professional and informative, he walked us through every option of shutters and the benefits they have. Each of the options for the shutters with every other company was an upgrade, not with The Shutter Guy. We got everything we wanted at a very fair price, actually would have cost thousands more with the other companies. Two weeks later a team of six who where also efficient and professional came and installed all 23 windows and door in two hours. My husband was beyond impressed. I was very, very impressed with this company from beginning to end. I had been stood up by another company that I contacted, which couldn't even be bothered to follow through. Shutter Guy sent someone out very quickly to measure, was very knowledgeable about helping lay out the shutters in my large, oddly-configured highrise window. The estimate arrived the same day and was reasonable and clear. The whole process was amazingly quick - they measured, ordered, and installed the shutters in less time than I WAITED for the other company to show up. I had to speed up the painting to have the room ready for the shutters - amazing. The same man who measured came to install them along with another young guy - both organized, polite, and very professional. Beautiful shutters (made in Wisconsin), perfectly installed. I even got a 'thank you' note. Shutter Guy will be the company I call for shutters in St. Louis - a great experience, and so different from the careless customer service you find in so much of the construction industry. First of all, their communication is so easy and quick. I texted with them through the whole process, and they were SO helpful. Second, their timing. They do quotes with aerial view, so you get the quote SO quick, and then on their calendar almost just as quick! Between reaching out and the job being complete, it was like a week. I was amazed. Their prices were spot on, and actually a slightly better deal for the quality, than most of the other companies I was working with. But, this franchise seems to wipe their hands clean of you, after you've ordered. I would have thought that the woman who sold me the blinds would show up for installation, especially given that a third party did their installation. (Just to reassure me, the customer, and make sure that everything was satisfactory!). But, nope. I also would have thought that she'd be more communicative about the replacement blinds and installation. When the replacements were to be installed, I had to call and confirm and ask what time. That should not be! They should call me with an approximate arrival time. I also wasn't given notice as to when the second 50% payment would be charged to my debit card. I happened to check my online banking and realized that she had charged me. Given the significant amount, a heads up would have been nice. Thankfully it was in my account. Overall, the customer service was not up to par with my Budget Blinds experience last year in a different state. But, I do love my blinds and the price was fair.

They show up, on time, said they wanted to re-measure to make sure everything was to spec. Um, ok - why wouldn't it be? They ripped off all of my door trim/casing and sat in their trucks for *90 MINUTES* without a word. Came back: "we have a problem". The brickmold is a quarter inch off - the manufacturer (ProVia) has a software problem and even though we gave them the correct measurements... blah blah, whatever. So, wait two weeks to get the corrected brickmold. Fine, stuff happens. 03/05! Called them 03/06. Guess what? STILL WRONG! No apologies, no anything. Wait two more weeks, no biggie, this is the way stuff works. March 20 it is! NOPE! March 16 and get an email that the manufacturers internet is down. No idea what that has to do with anything... how many times can you fail a customer and just tell them to wait two more weeks? Anyway, now I'm scheduled for April! Of what year I have no idea. Pathetic.

Buckle up because this is going to be a little lengthy and we got 20 new windows! Let me start off…read moreby saying what a pleasure it was to work with Bryon (owner and salesman), and his installers (work for the company and not contracted out, also his sons). They were incredibly professional, communication was excellent, and the windows are made right here in the USA! The cost was much lower than other companies in the area because they don't contract their work out, they don't have to pay a salesman commission, etc. The installers brought in drop cloths to protect my floors while pulling out the old windows. They worked very efficiently (keep in mind it's December), and they put the new windows up as quickly as possible so as not to have a gaping hole to let all the heat out. I got prairie grids in all my front windows, which are gorgeous! I also got Solar screens installed which help to block out the heat in the summer before it ever hits your windows which equals major efficiency. They are full screens with double hung windows; I can pull the windows down from the top and not have to worry about rain (where I have an overhang). We got a frosted type of glass in our bathroom and no longer have to keep blinds up that will get nasty due to the humidity. Just couldn't be happier with everything! Excellent customer service, high quality, professionalism, cost. Very happy customer!

I was referred to The Shutter Guy from a neighbor of mines. She spoke so highly of him and wanted me to see her shutters in her home. The look on my husband and I face was speechless. While we were at my neighbors house, The Shutter Guy called and stated that he sent me an email for my estimate. I instantly accepted and my shutters would soon be on the way. Well lets move forward to the big day for installation. The Shutter Guy and his team were very professional, organized, and neat. The process was explained before, during and after installation. Any and all questions were answered. Wow quality control was done. Oh I must add it was all over in an hour, which included them cleaning up behind themselves. I ordered a door wall shutter from The Shutter Guy by stopping in their office in Wentzville. The local owner came out and did measurements and gave me an estimate and I agreed on the investment. The woman office administrator gave me a date of installation and I was eagerly awaiting the installation. Two young men came out at the designated time. They were pleasant, organized, and professional. They worked as a team and completed the project in a timely manner. One of the team members took his time to communicate how best to care for and use the shutters. He was easily understood and communicated in a clear and concise manner. Great product, excellent service, professional, friendly,knowledgeable...Had 2 shutters installed in the master bedroom; one of the panels had one tiny staple that wasn't right (normal eye wouldn't have noticed); they installed BUT pointed it out and already ordered the replacement piece--which was here in less than a week. They also took the time to quickly look at my other 8 windows (4 different types) and give me a general assessment once they were done with the install. Loved the upgrade so much--they are coming out to do all of my other windows. For those with pets--this is the way to go.
