Excellent service! In addition to full service blinds, depending on the situation he offers replacements and repairs. One of my home's original blinds broke. I contacted 10 Atlanta area companies asking if they could repair the string. Of those who responded, only Shutterworks offered to fix it (they were not the original company the previous homeowners worked with). [[HIGHLIGHT]]He emailed back within a day offering to help for a fair price.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I stopped by, he gave me additional options to make the price even lower. I had shutters installed in October, 2025, and one of the shutters is sized incorrectly and bows out from the window. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have texted and called Michael more than 15 times since then to try to set up a repair appointment, but he has only responded once to say that he would schedule an appointment soon (but he hasn't done so).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has been three weeks since then. On 1-20-21 I wrote a $1000 deposit for shutters for my house and ordered $2023 worth of shutters to this day I have received nothing and can't get a call back from Michael McKay to let me know what is going on!!! read more

Our shutters were made 25 years ago by Shutterworks. They are as beautiful today as they were then. We bought the house 7 years ago and they came out to repair a few places and repaint the shutters in the bathroom. I know at least 7 people who have Shutterworks shutters and they feel as we do that they are superior to any other. We have had no issues with hinges or any other part of the shutters. read more

Shutter Works came to me highly recommended by the design trade. They do beautiful work. I recommend them. I am a designer and am careful to use quality on my projects. Many times it is difficult to calculate the exact time of production completion, therefore, affecting the timing of installation. If you are looking for a "rush" job you may consider a company who mass produces... try Home Depot?...Lowe's?...quality is not the same but if quality is not that important to you, then choose a mass producer. read more

We had a total of 9 3 1/2" wood plantation shutters installed. We originally had six 3 1/2" plantation shutter panels installed by Shutter Works. They were great, and we were happy with the installation, the quality, and the price. We contracted with them again for three more panels. With a promise that the shutters would be ready for installation within 4 weeks, they were not installed until 10 weeks after the order. After the installation, we saw that one of the horizontal slats on a panel was noticeably crooked and not aligned with the other slats. I called Shutter Works and left three messages. In my messages, I even said that I would be willing to work with them on the cost of a replacement panel. I did not receive a call-back. While our initial experience with Shutter Works was good, because I did not receive a call-back and received no satisfaction regarding the less-than-satisfactory-quality panel, I would not use Shutter Works again and would not recommend them. read more

If you want good quality plantation shutters do not use this company the shutters in the master bath and bedroom Will not remain closed the quality of their hinges is poor. When I open the shutters to clean the windows the hinges are not strong enough to support the shutters. The owner has been out 4 times to make the corrections. He tells me now that he's not honoring the warranty. I had my whole house done in plantation shutters and this is the service I got. read more
