Kenny quoted a great price up-front whereas other businesses played the "car sales" game with vague pricing which meant they planned to hit me with a high cost once they're already at my home. And he came to my home same day to get it done quickly. Kenny actually fixed my original key fob so I didn't technically need him to re-program my new fob. That being said, today a record was broken! I would usually see the owner there but this time there were two gentlemen's that seems to be his employees. The guy that came approach me looked like he seen a ghost when I gave him a simple cylinder mailbox type and he was having a hard time finding the key that will even go into the cylinder even though I described the exact type of key that I had and lost. Then the real Ridiculousness started when he told me I would have to leave it with him and there is a $75 minimum charge but they charge by the hour and the rate is $150! I wasn't embarrassed to show how shocked I am specially when they did similar jobs of recreating a key for me on different type of locks that I brought them and the only thing you could tell tell me is that it's sorry that I feel like the price is ridiculous but that's the price. To add insult to injury the guy in the back yelling at me that you will take them time to find the correct key blank and once they find them they have to manually file the key to the lock as if we're in the 1950s. Dyslexia in there I brought them is a simple mailbox type cylinder and the wipers are sticking out accessible you can just grab them with your fingernails and yank them out and make the key according to the size of the wipers it honestly shouldn't take more than 15 minutes but for some reason when I came in I guess they thought they can make me leave it with them at $150 an hour rate and they would tell me once they'll decide it's ready that it's being this many hours and my inflated bill they thought would somehow justify a lock that is $10 at Home Depot brand new. Like I said I've been going there for many years I can't even remember how many dozens of work they've done for me they were never the cheapest or never gave me the feeling that I paid even a fair rate always felt like I'm paying on the expensive side of things but they were close to where I work and it was convenient so I paid I continue to come back and I shut up but not anymore. I am now at a different locksmith place waiting for the lock to have his new keys made as I was told it'll be 10 to 15 minutes to recreate them so I'm waiting on site guess what my quote was $35 for the first key $5 for any additional key blank. They came out and gave no written bid or had us sign anything to start work. The service technician was very disorganized and missed one of the jobs we asked him to do. When we asked him to make a copy of one of the keys that he had taken from us he told us we should go test them and find out which one is which. Very unprofeesional. For one hour work he gave us a $900 bill. What a scam))) He did come back and finish the missing job and did not chage us for that. Probably becuase he knew he had already robbed us very well. We called Airport lock and safe the real company and are having them re do the entire job cuz we do not truct these people. They did not even offer us a master lock key.

We were stuck without a working key fob at the Irvine Transportation Center. We called him and, when he was unable to remedy the problem via FaceTime, he did not hesitate to drop whatever he was doing at 8 PM on a Wednesday night and drive over to help us. He assessed the problem quickly and reprogrammed our two spare nonworking key fobs so we could be on our way. We were pleased at the reasonable rate he charged. He shared with us (with images tomprove it) that the negative reviews he's received on Yelp have been generated by scammers based in a faraway land who were trying to shake him to get him to pay to remove the reviews. Don't believe them. Aharon is a solid gold human being.
