A destination store. It's wonderful. Let me tell you how it is. I used to make up fake fun things to do in Tulsa (like go to the amusement park, or the zoo, which really is nice,) so the Other R would enjoy going to Tulsa, while his mom hit the needlework shops. Then, when he got too old, I'd drive to Tulsa myself, leaving at 5 a.m., and arriving at 9 a.m. Usually this would be for an odd item, like a Shepherd's Bush mat. I am working in Tulsa this week, and knew exactly where I'd go, without a doubt. It's been a couple of years, so I never put the Silver Needle's review on Yelp. I did continue to order from them, alot. Alot of my income goes to this store. This store carries all the well known designers, from the gorgeous Long Dog design samplers (she's a french designer, with fine beautiful samplers, very detailed), to my favorites; Bent Creek, Shepherd's Bush, Just Nan, and Olde Colonial Designs. There is an entire store section devoted to SB, and one could literally spend an hour in there trying to decide what to buy. Used to be...when my stash began to get low, to Tulsa I would bring myself, and home I would go with lot's of treasures. They are the first store I saw Vera Bradley at. I don't need to go to Tulsa for that, anymore, cause we have a store in Kansas City. This is one of the few stores in the United States, that carries the Shepherd's Bush hand painted mats. This store has Secret Needle Kits. They make their own pattern, and then kit them. It also has Camp Stitch Alot, which I've never had the pleasure of attending, but would love to. The staff is fantastic. To this day they are in great moods, and it's not cause my income goes to them, it's the energy. There's classes and a stitching area, and store events, for the lucky locals. If I lived in this area, I'd be at this store all the time. But I guess that would take the specialness out of it.

Awesome Haunted house that I will be doing

I especially enjoyed the models for a type of needlework called knotwork and I found some older Prairie Schooler charts with original prices.

This is a place I can think I know what I am getting but leave with other bag(s) of magic. Wander the each aisle and let your creative juices flow! You'll be inspired for things you may not have thought you could pull off. Prices are reasonable and sales are always fantastic. She knocked on the door and saw three workers exiting. When she asked if she could use the bathroom, one of the workers rudely replied, "No, we're cleaning it." After that, the three workers left, and no one was cleaning the bathroom. Another customer approached us and shared that they had experienced the same situation with their child. Apparently, the workers use this tactic before closing the store to prevent customers from using the bathroom before they close and avoid having to clean it. To make matters worse, at the checkout counter, the cashier girl was extremely rude. She threw our bags and had a nasty expression on her face. Overall, this location is terrible.

I (Carolyn Grundy) purchased a Singer sewing machine on Friday 9/12/25 @HobbyLobby 3132 E 51st St…read more when I attempted to sew, the needle broke, after breaking about 5 brand new needles I attempted to investigate by removing the needle plate. I was only able to remove one screw it was as if the other screw was glued or soldered down. I packed the sewing machine back into its original box. On Monday 9/15/25 I took it back to @hobbylobby and the manager Gary happened to be standing at the entrance who kindly advised @hobbylobby does not accept returns on sewing machines. He stated @hobbylobby has signage posted indicating NO Returns, of course I never saw any such posting. Gary stated I would have to return it to the manufacturer @singer. I then called @singer only to be told that is incorrect as @singer only accept returns if purchased online. I then called @hobbylobby corporate office & asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. Dallas answered my call, I asked her if she was either her response was YES. I proceeded to tell her my concerns. She stated @hobbylobby policy is that returns has to be sent back to the manufacturer @singer as that is in the contract between @hobbylobby and @singer. Dallas @hobbylobby called me again on Tuesday 9/16/25 at which time she asked for my email address to send me the website for the warranty division @singer. They wanted me to repack the machine and send it to the nearest warranty center, which by the way is located in Overland Park Kansas. It is not my responsibility to send it out. Remember it is brand new. It needs to be returned to @hobbylobby. Both companies state returns go to the other. On last evening I sent an email to @hobbylobby, @singer, along with two of Tulsa's local news stations. @singer responded to me with one question "how may I assist you"? I responded I simply wanted to return the machine for a refund. @singer then quoted their policy which is products has to be returned to the place of purchase. I called corporate @hobbylobby again, spoke with Dallas again at which time I asked to speak with her manager. Melissa @hobbylobby got on the phone. After I gave her some background, her response was to tell me what their policy is, but now she says they would accept it had it not been opened. I'm just trying to understand how would I know it was a defective product without opening. I told her with her being a manager @hobbylobby all she had to do is call the manager @hobbylobby in Tulsa and tell him/her they were making an exception to allow me to return it . She then stated that is not possible. Hobby Lobby is a $72 billion industry. I'm simply asking for a refund of less than $500 for a defective product they bought from the manufacturer and sold to me. Their return policy prohibits me from returning it back to them because I opened the box. Hobby Lobby says they are committed to the Lord in ALL they do by operating the company in a manner consistent with Biblical principles.
