Event tables in 72" rounds. Brick wall backdrop.

The Sinclair on Gst provided a large, beautiful space for our anniversary party. Guests loved taking pictures throughout the spacious venue and we appreciated the flexibility and clear communication with the staff. The managers are organized and responsive which really helps when you are planning a large event. They also feature a virtual 360 indoor tour which assists with planning. I would absolutely recommend this space for your venue needs but just keep in mind that you will need to either partner with one of their preferred vendors or plan on your own because you are solely renting the location and not serving staff, etc unless you choose to do so. If we ever needed a large venue again- I'd certainly come back.

We made reservations for a tasting with QFire and it was made at this lovely venue location Sinclair on G Street. As with most places in downtown San Diego, parking is a bit impossible and pricey with the lots that are blocks away. One of the benefits of attending this tasting event was we were able to check out this venue for future events. You walk into a huge open floor plan, for this event there was approximately 80 attendees and several tables, a make-shift bar in the corner and buffet tables with food. You venture straight back and there is a men and women's bathroom, you venture to the right and the stairs take you down to another smaller space. The stairs were a bit scary going down. There are a couple other makeshift bars to allow for multiple bars upstairs and downstairs, the space is a bit smaller and more for a dance floor with a couple open rooms and what use to be a kitchen. The other stairs lead back to the front of the door/building but on the inside. On their website, the have pictures of various hosted events such as weddings (Ceremony and receptions), with the brick rustic look, it might just be the venue you are looking for! Definitely check their website for pricing as it depends on the day of the week.

Such a cute event space in the middle of downtown. Our friends had their wedding here. Their ceremony and reception were beautiful and so much fun! Wheelchair accessible, room for a dance floor, a bar, a photo booth and I believe there was even a separate space for the bridal party to get ready. The brick walls gave a rustic vibe, but it seemed easy enough to decorate any way you like. I could see how this space could be used for events other than weddings as well.

This was the perfect venue for our wedding last weekend! We had about 100 guests in total. We held the ceremony on the main level, and turned the room over for the reception while cocktail hour distracted our guests down below. I was able to hang out with bridesmaids and get ready without the groom seeing me before the ceremony thanks to the fully furnished room downstairs. The beautiful brick interior made minimal decorations go a long way. Parking on Market was simple and easy for everyone in attendance, and there are plenty of hotels nearby. We also had great opportunities for photos both in the gaslamp quarter and at the convention center.

We had our wedding there in September 2022 and I would HIGHLY recommend this venue! It's beautiful and multi-faceted, located centrally in downtown and Megan was super easy to work with. There is no noise curfew so we were able to have our after party there and it was such a good venue. The brick and exterior of the building looked so great in our photos too. Our guests also raves about the venue!

We recently had our wedding at the Sinclair and it was awesome, everybody loved the venue, it has a beautiful brick wall and it doesn't need a lot of decoration since the brick wall attracts a lot of attention and looks beautiful. Megan was very helpful and always replied right away to any questions or concerns I had, the venue managers who were present during the rehearsal and the event were also super nice and helpful. The parking situation is not bad at all in my opinion, there's a big parking lot around the corner called Park it on Market, and there's a hardware store nearby in case you forgot something or need an extension cord like I did. The location was perfect, with lots of Airbnb around, and lots of food (we had people from out of town staying near the venue) the venue is affordable, and it was honestly perfect. I recommend asking about the wall around the corner if you're getting married there! The pictures look awesome!

We took a chance on this place for our wedding ceremony + reception, as it had just been recently renovated and there weren't many reviews yet. I'm so glad we did! Here's why: 1. The building is truly beautiful. Its gorgeous wood floors, exposed brick, high beam ceilings and interesting original details (like the arc cutouts in the walls) make for a stunning canvas on which to plan your event. It's great because it works for all kinds of budgets and styles--it can be totally transformed to fit a unique aesthetic (like we did for our "neon tropical" wedding), but it can also have very minimal decor (aka smaller budget!!) and still be a really classy and impressive backdrop for your event. 2. The owner is so nice, accommodating, flexible and reasonable. I also love that she's a young woman owner!! 3. The location is PERFECT. It's within walking distance of so many hotels and the whole Gaslamp scene, but it somehow feels separated from the bad parts of downtown. It's like this cool urban oasis - smack in the middle of everything yet it's own little world. Here's my biggest tip when touring this place and trying to envision it for your wedding or event: be flexible in how you see the space! They label a lot of areas within the building, but I hardly used any for what they were intended for, and the layout worked soooo perfectly for me and my event. For instance, they have this super cool downstairs area that you could use as an awesome bar area, lounge, etc. - but I chose not to allow guests down there at all because for our 125 person wedding, it would have felt too sparse for the guests to spread out over the two floors. Instead, we used it as a setup area for the caterers (this is good to keep in mind! The kitchen is very small, but if you can allot more of the downstairs for kitchen prep etc, it works out fabulously for any hesitant caterers). There is also a room down there they were referring to as the grooms suite, but I used it as the bridal suite and again, PERFECTION. Megan (owner) has it very nicely outfitted with couches, cute decor and a great full length mirror to get ready. You can then enter the upstairs from one of two ways. It was so key for me throughout the wedding. Also, there is a kind of sunken area in the back they think of as the dance floor, but we opted to put our own dance floor in the main area and use that sunken place for a photo booth and a quieter lounge area - again, to keep guests mainly staying in one place. And that setup was amazing for us and our purposes. We had multiple guests comment on the building and how beautiful it was, both when it was fully decked out on the day of the wedding AND when we were doing our rehearsal in the completely empty space. I am a picky person (ok, I'm a total perfectionist slash control freak) , and I can say that this was the perfect venue for our wedding. If I had it to do all over again, I would choose this place in a heartbeat. (Look at the photos! They speak for themselves!!)

Upstairs open floor plan with bounce house, soft play area, bar, and seating.

We hosted my son's first birthday at the Pannikin Building and we got so many compliments from our guests on the venue selection. Perhaps an unconventional choice for a first birthday party, the open floor plan and central location was perfect. We were able to fit a bounce house, soft play area, and seating for our 80 guests easily in the just the upstairs space. The owner, Megan, was so easy to work with and very communicative. We would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone looking to host their next event.

My husband and I got married at the Pannikin Building last week. We needed a venue at the last moment due to the rain. This place was beyond our expectation. It changed our wedding from a backyard event to a whimsical celebration. Meghan and her staff were AMAZING! We recommend this place for anyone interested in having a nice event. Btw- the venue is a great place for photos!

We fell in love with this venue the minute we saw it. The downstairs bar area really sold us. We had a few other venue showings in SD that same day but we compared every one we saw to this one and messaged Megan that same day that we were a go! Megan was so easy to work with. Since we planned our wedding in the midst of covid, we did not know when the venue would open back up and Megan was very responsive to us to make us feel at ease. Everything worked out and we did not have to postpone which was amazing!! Our guests loved the venue. The brick really adds such a gorgeous backdrop for all the pictures that we have from our wedding. The ivy wall right around the corner makes the BEST first look and bridal/groomsmen party pictures. The dance floor is slightly tucked away in the back but served as a perfect balance so that the guests who wanted to sit and talk could still do that away from the dance floor. The downstairs was also perfect for cocktail hour while the upstairs was flipped. We brought in all of our vendors which seemed daunting to have to find but they have a wonderful suggested vendor list that makes it really easy. The location is near the fun areas of Gaslamp, parking, and a multitude of hotels so that all of our guest's needs were met for the whole weekend. We are still dreaming about our day at this amazing venue.

Our group was surprised as is was 2115, it's been open for about an hour and a half and packed. As you enter this old law office down a staircase one would find the "speakeasy statutes/rules" to maintain the 1920s atmosphere-- we loved the setting, the people, the drinks, and of course the live music!! One would not be disappointed. The cocktail menu was on an old record, which I thought it was so clever. Back to the rules, seems pretty easy! They mention to keep an open mind with the drinks as they do not carry vodkas, redbull, Budweiser or bulls**t. Mentioned a dresscode, more so be classic and states be respectful and don't be a di*k. I couldn't agree more with the rules. I don't think there is good at this establishment, as our group just came from dinner I wasn't looking for food. Just spirits, live music and a good time. Highly recommend if you are looking for live music and uniquely crafted cocktails.

Multiple bystanders witnessed his behavior but failed to intervene, assuming it was just "relationship drama" After the man finally left, the venue's security completely misread the situation. Instead of checking on my well-being or ensuring the aggressor had left the premises, security targeted and chased me as if I were the problem. It is incredibly disappointing and dangerous for a business's security team to lack the basic situational awareness and training required to identify the actual victim in a situation. I felt entirely unprotected by the staff here. I hope management takes this as a serious sign that their security team needs immediate retraining on bystander intervention and de-escalation, rather than harassing women who are already in vulnerable situations.

She had complimentary tickets ( usually a $10 cover) to The Shout House, a dueling piano bar. We almost didn't go and let me tell you, that would have been a sad mistake. We walked in and while it was a little loud for us older folks, we looked around and took in all that was happening. There were people there much older than us as well as people barely old enough to be in a bar. The pianist (s) were hard at work a the drummer was rocking out too. We sat down. Let me tell you, that was the most fun we have had in a long time! All three musicians played multiple instruments, piano, harmonica, sax, and drums. The songs were everything from Slim Shady to Elton John and everything in between. Slips of paper were placed on the piano, a nod was given and off they went. The crowd sang along and we all laughed! Some of it was silly but ALL of it was fun! Highly recommend. About 10:30 the older crowd started making their way out, us included, early morning flight but we would have stayed until closing time. We might have paid for it the next day but had we not had a plane to catch we absolutely would have stayed. It was fun to see multiple generations having so much fun together and the music was incredible. We had just eaten so we didn't order food but what we saw on other tables looked good. Go!! You won't be sorry!

I took a Lyft ride here & arrived at 3.45pm. I didn't know what to expect, but I was second in line. Instructions were to be here by 4:15 for The VIP experience which include check in merch, the VIP lanyard, rehearsal & Q&A. There were different VIP plans & some Langers were rectangle & some were hearts. Since I was front row, I was diamond. I was so close that I was actually in the shell. There were two different companies Elite (red shirt) & the Black shirt people. Rady shell had their own staff too in white shirts. So we were organized in groups based on our VIP package. My group got to enter first & we all sat in front row for the Q&A & listen to Ella Mai sing three songs with Juan acoustically. Juan is a great guitar player, At the end I got a guitar pic. Then we took a group picture. So front row became the back row. Now I'm a shorty so I had to stand on a chair to be seen. The coolest part was making new concert friends acquaintances in line & during the Q&A. After that, we all head for the Merch line to have first pick. Let me tell you VIP is the way to go. What I did learn was that the entire venue is a park. So on the exterior of the venue along the water are benches. If you're early enough, you can pick your bench, camp out & watch, listen to the concert , get this FOR FREE. I know, and people were there with their blankets, cushions, drinks, pillows, etc. it's a beautiful venue. It clean. What I will say is that the restrooms are not plentiful. No A/C and it's very hot. There are Porta Potties but that's even hotter. There are unisex restrooms, but those are prison toilets. All stainless steel & messy, stinky, dirty. But if you gotta go, well then you gotta go. The shell located right behind the convention center. Tip, walk in front of the convention center or to the Hilton & save $15 on your Uber. Walk to the signal lights & hop on public trains, rails for $2.50. I met more cool people on the way out that we ended up at party central 10 minutes away. Some chick & her Mom tried to hustle me for a free Uber ride asking me if I would book a trip for them, blah, blah, blah 'my account,I'm having issues', but I shut that down with, Gurl I use public transportation for $2.50 I don't use Uber. Guess their game wasn't that great because they were fighting & arguing a few minutes later. C-ya I'm outta here. I would definitely come back here again. See you some more on Yelp 2026
