I visited the Siren's Song Tavern. We were served by who I can only presume were the owners. The tavern was fairly empty, only a handful of locals. They were attentive and after chatting with them a bit found that this is a fairly new place. Although, I'm not from the area I feel that this place is filling a void for a quality beer/wine bar. I had visisted Lost Coast Brewery earlier in the day and was not as impressed. I had the Pear-Blackberry cider. It was fantastic. Great beer and great service. Had a terrible experience at this place. Got terrible service, even though there was only a few people there, and the bartender never even smiled or tried to be friendly to me. The beer and cider is over priced. I didn't try the food because it all seemed bland and boring. The main issue I had with this place though was I watched the bartender yell at a customer and tell her she was wrong. I felt terrible for her! If something is wrong with your order, or you don't like something apparently they make you pay for it anyways, and shame you in front of everyone. Save your money and go somewhere else. The bartenders are rude and argue with customers. Not a place I will ever be going back. I don't recommend this place to anyone unless you like being treated terribly. read more

What a fantastic place. Old wood floors, big street-side windows, swags of red velvet curtains and lots of seating options. The beer selection is mind blowing and the cheese platter and home cooked soups make for a nice cozy evening stop. Wow. Stopped in this place and fell in love. So many tasty beers on tap and a book with over a 100 different bottles of imported beers. They also serve espresso and kambutcha on tap. Love the atmosphere and the bartenders are very knowledgeable about their beer selections. Wish I could hangout here all the time :) read more

This is my favorite place to grab a drink in Eureka--the bartender is nice, the space is inviting and clean, and is usually at a sound level where you can actually have conversations with the people you're with. The beer selection is good, but prices are high. Only The Local has higher beer prices. But here's the deal... The service is atrocious. Bro behind the bar would rather pour free tasters for his buddies than get you a second beer! And the 'cheese board' is a thrown together selection of Costco items which cost us $20!!! Stopped in on a Saturday night and was surprised that it wasn't very busy. Live music and a great atmosphere. They have a huge beer selection and I found several IPA's that I enjoyed! If we go back to eureka I'm sure we'll stop in again! read more

What a cozy place! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. He pointed us through their extensive selection and could describe every drink we mentioned! When my gluten free friend inquired about a type of cider the guy helping us wrote down the name and said they would try to get some bottles. Not only is the beer great and the beer selection varied at the Siren's Song Tavern, they are knowledgeable about craft beer. We enjoyed a tasty local cheese plate with our beer while listening to really good original, live music on our last night in Eureka. It was a perfect way to end our trip. read more

Great selection of unique ales and beers. Had two unique stout a sour and an almond very tasty. Growing up in the Bay Area which has an enormous selection of pub this was a great surprise for the north coast. We also had a great cheese, veggie and meat tray that really hit the spot. read more
