Upon leaving it was confusing following the driveway out, so I'd maybe consider some exit signs.

Pumping a toilet to get it to flush was so weird especially given the pristine surroundings. Grandmas deserve better! Show your guests some respect and at least allow an option for a nicer loo. (I guess it was good that I barely ate or drank because it limited my needs to go.) Loved the venue but I think they need to do more of the guests and not just the folks writing the checks. There were two individuals helping to direct parking which helped tremendously. The beautiful Zyntango Farm Barn is an authentic 1800's barn with modern amenities. It's an event venue for weddings, receptions, graduations, bridal showers, family reunions, corporate retreats and special events. It's located about 5 minutes from Whitestown on the NW side of Indy in the countryside. Just 3 miles off of I-65, one exit north of the Zionsville exit and less than 30 minutes from downtown Indy. The barn is two stories with a flight of stairs. I'm not sure of the barn capacity but I would think this is best for a small to medium size event. The free Holiday Market had approximately 18 - 20 vendors in attendance. Cork and Wine Barrel was there along with a jewelry artist, a tattoo artist and Fantasy face painter, chocolate and cookie makers, a candle maker, a variety of signs, a small boutique, a lap blanket quilter and an artist displaying her oil paintings. One of the vendors, Keepsakes By Design, does personalized itching in glass cookware which is perfect for our bakers in the family. A couple of small food and beverage vendors were onsite with BBQ sandwiches, hot chocolate and soda. I found several vendors that is perfect for hostess gifts and family Christmas presents. So glad we took the time to visit today.

Your options: rent Henry's (not equipped for bridal parties -- no hair, makeup, or staging space) or squeeze into limited space downstairs. At our wedding, our groomsmen had to physically carry my Aunt up the stairs so she could get ready with me. If anyone in your party -- or any guest -- has mobility issues, think hard about this. The overcharging isn't subtle, and it's documented on their own social media. At their "Grand Opening," booked couples were charged $25 to park in a baseball field and get shuttled in -- a detail they didn't disclose until the day of. For $75, you could get VIP parking up front, conveniently reserved for friends and family of the owners based on a convo I had in the restroom with a family member of the owners - whom they'd already had a party for the night before.. Paying customers in the cheap seats, insiders up front -- make of that what you will - especially when the insiders also participated the night before. And once again: if you had accessibility needs, you found out about the parking situation four hours before your event, with no plan in place. The owner also changed outfits no less than three times at the Grand Opening alone -- who knows how many wardrobe changes happen at the other promotional parties she throws so often. Multiple costume changes for an event isn't cheap, and it's hard not to wonder how much of what we paid went toward funding that kind of spectacle instead of, say, an elevator. The "booked out for years" claim doesn't square with the constant promotional parties. If you're really booked solid, why the ongoing push for exposure? Add-on costs pile up fast: $300 for outside DJs to plug into their sound system, $125/hour for coat check attendants. The venue and grounds are genuinely beautiful -- but you're decorating roughly 18,000 sq ft, and that does not come cheap. Speaking as a bride who got married there in June 2026: don't expect any breaks on cost. Bottom line: they're new, but "new" doesn't excuse repeated bad calls that vendors are already talking about. I wouldn't recommend Westwood. Had we known about the missing elevator upfront, we wouldn't have booked. A venue that prioritizes sound quality over basic accessibility for grandparents, parents, kids, and even the bride herself tells you everything you need to know about where their priorities sit.

I had the chance to attend a wedding reception at Ginger Event Center, a Northwest side of Indy…read moreevent center near St. Vincent Hospital that offers a fairly straightforward set-up in terms of modest-sized events. Ginger Event Center is honestly what I'd call a more "working class" event center. It's nice, though I'd hesitate to call it anything resembling luxurious. For a young couple starting out, it was a solid option for a simple yet meaningful wedding reception that offered enough room to have fun, socialize, and also honor the current climate of social distancing. The good news is that a Ginger Event Center rental is a full-day rental. These days, it seems like most venues are doing rentals for a few hours or a 1/2 day or whatever. With Ginger, you get the day. The venue is wheelchair friendly including an accessible restroom stall. As a wheelchair user, you'd be amazed how often this is not the case even in high-end event centers. They offer linen rental. You can bring in your own food, own beverages, and alcohol (though they do have bar packages and a cool bar area). They have ample free parking. Ginger provides tables and chairs and everything was set up nicely upon arrival. The owner will recommend vendors if you need help. From what my friends noted, the owner was quite helpful. Ginger also includes an audio-visual system (somewhat low-to-mid range in my estimation), a dressing room, a patio area (admittedly, not the most attractive area for a patio), a food prep area, and a bar area. Seating square footage is around 3,500 square feet. Typical capacity is around 200 with a dance floor (which was used in the event I attended). I would say Ginger is a solid option for the area. It's certainly not a destination event center. If you're seeking high-end, look elsewhere. However, this is an attractive and functional event center for small to moderate-sized weddings, special events, religious celebrations, etc. I'm not aware that they have a non-profit rate and I doubt I'd do much in the way of "performance" type events here. However, it served nicely for this very special evening and, most importantly, the newly married couple was happy to gather with family and friends.

The 4,000 sq. ft. venue rents for $1,500 and provides tables and chairs and everything else is the renters responsibility including tableware and clean up. The owner has vendors he can recommend if you do not have your own. This is an unusual concept compared to most other venues we've worked with. The dining tables were set up and dressed when we were there. There isn't a lobby so you walk directly into the room. The room is basically split into two large areas for dining tables and a versatile open floor (think dance floor or silent auction tables), a nice bar area, a very small kitchen, a nice men and women's restroom and a tiny open area in front of the restrooms which I didn't think should be congested. All unloading/loading of supplies has to go through the front door as their large storage unit sits at the back door. You can enter here but you can't pull up close to the door. Not a problem unless you're unloading trucks of silent auction items plus much more in our case. The owner was pleasant and working with several of us during my appointment. He answered all of our questions and had setup ideas trying to help me resolve the issues I saw due to space restraints. With all of our space requirements, it was determined the venue was just to small for our annual auction. In addition, we'd need a ton more volunteers for catering, bussers, servers and bartenders or increase our budget. Great concept for those who prefer to take control of the catering, bar, and manage every aspect of your event.

Even for the times that I had bride freakouts, Emily was always available to ease my worries. Fast forwarding to the day of the wedding, all of our guests were so impressed by how smooth our wedding was and that everything was well communicated and on time! Emily and her team pivoted so well to get everything moved in, blamed my daughter who had her heart set on an outdoor bar and dinner...Emily was grace and calm personified. There were plenty of little adjustments made all day, but Emily IS the best and hires the BEST assistants, so that it became a beautiful day to remember...and no one got stung! My second daughter will get engaged soon and I will absolutely have Emily and her team help us. There is none better!!!​​
